The base is well made and solid. I replaced the original connector with a brass fitting but that is unnecessary. Impact sprinklers are the choice of curators at placess like golf courses and football fields. They throw large amounts of water a long way in big drops and the space in between is watered by the spray from the spring loaded deflector as it bounces off the main jet of water. Those who say this sprinkler doesn't work probably don't have sufficient water pressure to make it operate properly. If you have a large garden or need to water a wedge-shaped space, this will work well. If you haven't sufficient water pressure, you need something else. Try a three arm model or a wobble head.

I bought this thinking it would be really strong and durable. Complete waste of money. Doesn’t spin and wastes water. Will be returning and getting refund.
