Porta's Dressed All Round timber provides the foundation and structure for many renovation, carpentry and DIY projects. Dressed All Round has been machined or sawn on all sides, ready to use. DAR timber is used for a variety of uses including home renovations, joinery, and other DIY projects. General Purpose Pine is typically a cream to light-straw in colour. This timber is given a greater allowance for natural timber features such as knots, resin pockets and other natural characteristics of the timber. General Purpose Pine is easy to work with using standard tools, however, its knotty character and resin canals can cause premature blunting of cutters. The timber holds nails and screws well, and glues easily with common adhesives. It is usually selected to provide the foundation and structure for many renovation, carpentry, and DIY projects. This timber can be painted, stained, colour washed, waxed, or left raw. Its grain accepts preservative treatment well which can provide protection for exterior use.

I purchased this 90 x 12 x 2.4 pine timber to use for making cabinet drawers knowing that Porta pine is knot free, straight and true. The drawers are complete and looking great. Click and collect service from Bunnings is first class.

I am a big fan of Bunnings. However, when I used the Click & Collect service because of COVID restrictions, the piece of timber I received was warped. I would not have purchased it if I had been able to shop in store. However, because I was chopping it into smaller pieces, I made it work. But I should not have to do this.

I purchased the timber two weeks ago, but had to check every length in stock to find four straight pieces without knots where my lap joints had to go, and as for dressed all round, every piece was dressed on three sides and straight off the saw on the fourth! After planing the saw marks out the saw marks, the lengths were no longer 42mm square. The saw mill and Bunnings are making the money, but we, the consumer, are being ripped off.

It was needed for outdoor application to fill an open gap. Well primed ,and partially sheltered, it fitted well, was secured with liquid nails and painted. over. Now a solid piece of handiwork.
I had nine of these in my order. Several of them were poorly planed or not planed at all on one or more sides, so not "dressed all round" as advertised. One was extremely rough. Most were straight, but a couple had quite bad bends near one end.
Very satisfied for a click and collect purchase. It is top quality for the cabinet work I am doing.Bunnings guaranteed it would be of best quality and it was!
Very disappointed with the quality for the price. Most pieces twisted and bowed which makes building with long pieces very difficult. The only straight piece was unusable as there were huge chunks knocked out of it. I love the idea of DAR timber in these sizes but the quality needs to be improved.
Atrocious. Will never order timber delivered from Bunnings again. Ordered three lengths to build my kids a Robot Game competition table for FIRST LEGO League Challenge. Two of the pieces were warped to the tune of maybe 30 degrees over the full length (with one of them chock full of loose knots and missing chunks), and the third is extremely bowed but I will attempt to salvage it. Left me feeling like the policy with delivered timber is to pick the stock which no customer with half a brain would accept when hand-picking from the store themselves, then offload it in someone's driveway and high-tail it out of there before the customer notices the flaws in the stock they received. I don't understand why Bunnings would do this. They usually have perfectly fine stock in ... MoreAtrocious. Will never order timber delivered from Bunnings again. 30mm x 30mm x 1.2m Porta Pine does not weigh 1.944kg as stated.30mm x 30mm x 1.2m Radiata Pine = 0.518kg30mm x 30mm x 1.2m White Pine = 0.540kg30mm x 30mm x 1.2m Yellow Pine = 0.637kg
Bought this wood through Click and Collect - which worked great - only took about an hour before ready for pick up. However I did this because I could not find items when I visited the store earlier and staff could not help either
