Works well, but a LOT of EMI from it which is causing connection problems with my BT mouse and keyboard.

Never got the software to work in Windows 7 and no update available. No chance now since I'm not using windows anymore.Batteries didn't even last 2 years probably due to overcharging. They got very hot and swollen.Would not by this product again

E.g., if UPS initiated shutdown is to be 30 minutes then set the WINDOWS SLEEP to 45 minutes. Hopefully it will never happen.The second step is to accept or change the UPS settings for shutdown after putting in the password. Click on the plug icon in the Taskbar | then select ( top left) UPS | Local shutdown: The default 30 minutes is too long to wait for an acceptance test. 10 minutes is more realistic. Then to perform the test: turn off the mains power to the UPS. 12 minutes later the PC executes a correct shutdown. Sometime later the UPS itself will shutdown – perhaps powering off a monitor.We can ignore all the other sophisticated features of this UPS if an orderly shutdown during prolonged mains power interruptions is all we want. This unit passes that test. Also, for this model, it is easy to change batteries. Two of the common variety of 12V 7A are readily obtainable. They are widely used in building alarm cabinets but now also in the cabinets for NBN fibre to the premises .I give it 5 stars.

Battery has lasted 3 1/2 years. UPS did it's job and also survived a lighting strike that took out other electronic equipment in the house.Software has never worked properly on Windows 10 on two different PC's. Spoke to Powershield directly and was told it works fine. Support is poor.
