The Praxis Works Shimano Hollowtech II bottom bracket converter is designed to be a proper bottom bracket BB for installing Shimano Hollowtech II cranks in either BB30, PF30, or Specialized’s OSBB road frames. Our patent pending design keeps the cartridge bearings outboard of the frame right on Shimano spec for greater rigidity and free of frame/c-clip tolerance issues that other conversion bb systems deal with. Simply press in the longer non-drive-cup, then the shorter drive cup threads into it. As the drive cup threads in, our trademark Collet system expands to a precise limit evenly dispersing pressure for a super tight fit. With both cups connected and our collet set exactly to spec, there is no chance the bearings can come out of alignment or wiggle/walk out of the frame. This bb converter design also uses a compressible o-ring on the non-drive side cup to compensate for frame shell width discrepancies.

I purchased this to use with my Specialized Crux. The bike originally came with a standard BB30 bottom bracket and FSA cranks. I fitted this so that I could use some Shimano Hollowtech II cranks. The coverter came with some good instructions and it was easy to fit. It feels a lot smoother than the original BB30 bottom bracket and it gives me more confidence that my cranks are going to keep spinning, without developing any unwanted creaking noises.

Purchased to be able to fit a shimano 24mm crank to specialized Venge, so a BB30 shell. Didn’t want to use a plastic insert and stick with a BB30 bottom racket, as that is a recipe for creaking! This is a semi-threaded solution. The drive side pushed in basically by hand, the non-drive side then nips up with a BB tool. Absolute doddle to install, comes with 4 optional spacers to take out any play.Few hundred k covered and zero issues. Runs smoothly and quietly. Can’t se the point on the added cost for the ceramic version, personally.

This is the 2nd Praxis BB30-to-24mm converter I've purchased, having first bought one for a cross bike I put together 7 years ago. When the time came to put together a new CX whip, and my chosen Boardman CXR frameset had a PF30 bottom bracket, it was a no brainer to source another Praxis thread-fit converter. The unit on my 2013 bike is still going strong. It's stood up to everything that 7 seasons of CX could throw at it, and the bearings are still running smooth. The unit is easy to fit, just a bit of grease and anti-seize prior to installation then follow the clear and concise instructions supplied. You will need two bottom bracket tools (one for each side) and one of those ideally needs to be a socket type to use with a torque wrench. One word of caution - the ... MoreThis is the 2nd Praxis BB30-to-24mm converter I've purchased, having first bought one for a cross bike I put together 7 years ago. I'd got my torque wrench set to 60nm and still didn't hit the machined stop. I called it a day there for fear of damaging the frame.

I have a boardman carbon team bike with tiagra groupset apart from fsa chainring and 30mm BB. Always had trouble changing to big chainring. Decided to change chainrings to tiagra which are 24mm hollowtec. Praxis Works 30bb to 24mm was recommended to me. Front gear change us now excellent. Bottom bracket is great. No flex, no noise and easy to change bearing if I ever need to. In short it does what it says on the box.
I put it a pf30 frame (carbon bottom-carbon frame) and its works great. I didnt had any fit or compatibility problem whatsoever. Dont forget to use anti seize or grease when apply it. (helps the installation)Turns very nice and hassle free. Very quick, responsive. Installation is very easy too.Especially choose it because my bottom bracket is not enclosed with metal. Just bare carbon frame. So i read it, with this kind of frames, creaking and chipping was general problem. Even if you consider that, my frame is chinese carbon i thought lets rule out some problematic areas and i bought this.
I bought this to replace a noisy BB30 bottom bracket, which was being used with a Shimano crank set and an FSA adapter. This completely replaces the BB30 bearings and circlips and removes the need for the adapter so there is a lot less to creak. Installation is easy enough but you do need a press tool to fit one side and two Shimano bottom bracket tools to screw in the other side. I would recommend getting a tool to remove you old bearings, you don't want to wreck you frame by using a DIY drift. There are videos online on how to do this just take your time and use the correct tools. I have ridden a couple of hundred miles with this fitted and it feels smooth and no more creaking.
My bike frame is Specialized. And I decided to change my group set.So I bought Praxis Conversor Road Shimano BB30/PF30 R-Collet 68-3001R for converting my group set to Shimano.I read many feedback about BB30 adaptor cause some issues. So I chose this.Fast delivery! Satisfied!
As my bike has DI2 on it, I was looking for an easy removal bottom bracket for my bike. I have a PF30 frame, and it had a PF30 to BSA adaptor on it. It must have moved some time ago on the drive side. This added resistance to the movement of the crank, I sorted it but decided was there an easier way forward, taking in the possible need to get at the joint connection that sits above the bottom bracket. The part came with good fitting instructions. Do not rush fitting it as there is different applications for grease or anti seize depenting if you are using the spacer. I also make a bigger hole in the spacer so that if I remove the BB, I do not have to remove the spacer to get at the wiring.
I bought this to convert a BB30 bottom bracket in a Felt FRD. Unfortunately the construction of the BB casing of the frame contained a profiled step in the carbon. case so this bottom bracket was not suitable. The construction of the BB is first rate and I have only had good experience with Praxxis components in the past. It would be unfair of me to mark this product down as I was unable install. Iy is worth noting that this construction feature in some frames means that this BB cannot be used to convert all BB30 frames.
Brought this to convert the awful BB30 on my old Boardman Team Carbon, well engineered and easy to fit. Hopefully will put and end to the dreaded squeaking.
