Where my massive crush on Jane Austen began: alone, on a hot day in Montana, cursing her name. I had to read it for AP English and I could not see the point. Girls need to marry. Girls can't get married. Girls are sad. Girls get married. Girls are happy. I went to school to half heartedly discuss it and waffled and wavered in an effort to please my teacher. Finally she said: "was it good or not, Ben?" "No it wasn't." "Thank you...now read this twenty pages of literary criticism for homework." Twenty pages of literary criticism later, I was hooked. Once you know what to look for, it's hilarious. Once you're keyed into the contextual life of women, you have to feel for the plight of the Bennet sisters, and laugh at the crudity of their mother and Mr. Collins.

I always prefer books to films , cause reading booking your imagination can sour high. From the very first day of coming to this world the book of Jane Austen was absolute success , this darling child of her. All the characters sparkle , they are so vivid , these intrigs and flirtation makes you excited from the beginning to the ending ! P.S wrote a review and decided to read it again )) Will ask my mom to bring me the book from our library #bookworm

Colin Firth! All I can say is this version is epic! Best casting and costumes as well as being close to the book in adaptation. Love it! Beautiful music and scenery too! I own it and we benge watch it! Get the girls together and get the popcorn ready! Nothing like hearing Oh Mr. Bennett!
Fantastic adaptation of one of my favourite books of all time. I wish all film adaptations of books should be made into mini series - it's so faithful to the book! You could practically follow along in the book line for line. The actors are amazing and Colin Firth will forever be Mr. Darcy. It's 5 hours long but I'll watch it again and again. Great attention to detail. Love it!!
Colin's Darcy is what i was imagine when was reading this book. I LOVE THIS mini series ! it's one of the my favourite because every detail is so beautiful 3 whole cast is so natural and suitable for this roles. I love Jane Austen's novels and in my opinion this adaptation is great and iconic ! this series is cure for me , salve for my heart and soul 3
Jane Austen is one of my favorite writers. The story is based on past times but it does not stop liking in these times. It shows you the importance of communication in the family, how you should participate in the education of your children and especially that love isn’t based on money. #booklover #books #bookworm
One of my dear friends lent me her copies of this version years ago, after the Keira Knightly version came to theaters. I have loved this story most of my life, and loved the movie... when she found out I had never seen this, she brought it to me that day and insisted I watch it. I absolutely love this version, it's a must watch if you love these classic novels. I highly recommend this!
Now matter how often and whichever edition I read, I still love the story.Unfortunately, the quality of this edition is somewhat lacking. I have only read it once but the gold coloured printing on both the spine and front has already worn so much that most words are virtually illegible.
Love the Word Cloud Classics editions! I was thinking about Pride and Prejudice the other day and thought that I'd like to have a nice edition to carry around with me. This is just right! The type is clear and readable and feels good to carry! Great choice!
