These are fantastic, every artist’s dream. The colors are so vibrant and vivid and they blend like a dream. The colors available are a great balance for a packaged product. They aren’t hard and waxy, they’re soft but without being fragile. And let me tell you they LAST. I’ve had my same pack for three years now. I highly recommend. My fave’s!!

If adding color to your art is a serious step you want to take then perhaps investing in a set of 48 is best. Otherwise, if you just want to fill in some coloring books as a hobby I recommend the 12 or the 24 sets.

This Sanford Prismacolor Scholar colored Pencil Eraseable Assrt Set Is awesome! The pencils are so comfy to hold and last a long time. I also love how easy they are to glide on papers. I absolutely love these pencils! They are vibrant and come in so many variant shades as well as contrasting ones. My package shipped as noted and was well packaged. The sturdy package supported the pencils from shifting around or getting damaged. And you just can't beat the price for such quality pencils an the quantity (60) is well worth it. I always have a hard time finding smooth colored pencils that are not only vibrant but blend well, color smoothly, and most importantly DONT break or aren’t broken throughout the interior of the pencil. There’s isn’t anything I find more frustrating then sharpening a colored pencil only for it to break or have broken again and again, usually (of course) it’s always my favorite color to use so I am left with little more than a nub and a pile of useless pencil. Not the Prismacolor! . They are sturdy and work very well on all kinds of different mediums. I highly recommend. I’ve included a few pieces I’ve done using the Prismacolor products but, forgive the photos as it’s incredibly hard to get a good clear picture of a piece that does it true to life justice.

Also, they are fragile - dropping them (if they roll off the table accidentally) seems to cause the “lead” to crack inside the pencil, so that when I sharpen a dropped pencil - I have to do it 2-3 times to get a useable point. I enjoyed using these in my class, but will definitely not repurchase- I’ll spend te extra money and buy the “professional” pencils.

Prismacolor color pencils are amazing! The packaging is beautiful! I love the variety of colors, how smooth they color, and how easy it makes blending multiple colors. The eraser helps with blending as well! They also seem to last longer than other color pencils and do not break as easily. Perfect coloring pencils for young adults and adults!

I’ve used prismacolor colored pencils for a long time. They are soft, pigmented and very blendable. You can use them alone or layer colors on top of each other or along side other mediums like alcohol based markers. I always tell my kids to treat them gently and to take care of them. Careful not to leave them in the heat or a hot car. It will cause the pencil color to separate from the wood and make them very difficult to use after. I personally hate colored pencils but these are life changing for any artist level!

i used to be an art student and these are the best colored pencils that you can possibly purchase. they are full color without having to use pressure. they're very soft and full color which saves your hands from hurting and cramping cause you will not have to keep drawing over and over the same area; layering; to actually see the color!. i always buy these colored pencils. there are none that compare. they're even sold at craft stores for alot more money!.
