Pro-Ject T1: A New Generation of Turntable The T1 from Pro-Ject Audio Systems is the first T-Line turntable, aiming to deliver true high-fidelity sound on a limited budget. Boasting premium materials, stylish aesthetics and a rich, lively sound, the extensive development process has ensured that there has been no compromise made in the sound performance when achieving such an affordable budget. The stylish CNC-machined plinth, available in High Gloss Black, Satin White or Walnut finish, features no plastic parts and is carefully manufactured to ensure there are no hollow spaces inside, therefore avoiding unwanted vibrations within the chassis. Carrying this philosophy through the design, the glass platter is also a heavy, zero-resonance design. Avoiding the flaws of plastic or lightweight steel alternatives. Finally, the purpose-chosen turntable feet also do a good job of isolating the T1 from ambient vibrations around your hi-fi system. High-quality OM 5E MM cartridge The T1 is supplied with an OM 5E Moving Magnet cartridge, featuring an elliptical diamond stylus tip; this is a true hi-fi playback system with no corners cut. Ultra-precise motor and sub-platter design In the T1 the motor drives a belt-system, attached to a newly designed sub-platter, which is mounted into an ultra-precise 0.001mm tolerance main bearing with a hardened steel axle and brass bushing. One-piece tonearm design with integrated headshell and low friction, vibration free bearings The tonearm on the T1 is a new model, based on previous Pro-Ject designs. With its straight, 8.6” effective length and stiff aluminium construction, this one-piece tonearm also features low-friction bearings for absolute accuracy in use. All-inclusive package Vibration absorbing feet Elegant dustcover with adjustable hinges Super shielded, semi-symmetrical, low-capacitance phono cables - purpose designed by Pro-Ject Felt mat to protect your records.

Bought just before Christmas to replace an ailing Sony midi sized record deck. This turntable was easy to set up and the sound quality is absolutely fantastic. I hooked it up to my old but perfectly fine Wharfdale amp and I am genuinely impressed. This may be an entry level turntable but the focus is very much on quality. There is no Bluetooth or USB output, and the platter doesn't come to a stop when the record ends but honestly it really didn't matter when compared to the build quality. In my opinion this is a perfect turntable if you're on a budget and I'd definitely recommend it. In addition, the team at Richer Sounds in Sheffield were knowledgeable and helped me compare options and decide on what was right for me. All round a big thumbs up!

I bought this to resurect my 300+ album collection the easy way(no amp needed as bluetooth). Super quality turntable. As with all quality turntables, it's very basic. There is a switch to start the deck turning, no auto return on the arm and if you want to change from 33 to 45 you have to remove the deck and change the pully that the drive belt is on, but none of the above makes the blindest bit of difference, I love it. I connect to a Bose Soundlink Mini II and the sound quality is amazing. It's so fantastic to be listening to vinyl again. I find there is an all together more complete feel to the tracks and much less harsh sound. One thing I found was that the Bluetooth connection wouldn't stay in the memory, so every time I turned it on I had to reconnect it. Not a major issue but a bit of a pain. After reading a previous review complimenting Tom in Southampton store I contacted him. He rightly suggested that as I was powering off the deck at the plug, it may not stay in the memory. So, if you are using it all the time and not bothered about leaving the power on it will be fine. If you are like me and must unplug, you will have to reconnect the bluetooth when you turn it on, which in my case is just one press of a button on the speaker. To sum up, as long as none of the above will bother you, it's great quality, amazing sounding and worth every penny.

I bought this as an entry level turntable and am delighted with it. Assembly was a breeze and it performs very well. It has 3 rather than 4 feet and so will never rock. It would be nice if the feet were adjustable to level it but I used shims and that took care of that. True, it doesn't have anti-skate capability so you have to be careful lowering the tonearm onto a record, but it's entry level. If you want more features you have to buy a more expensive unit. All in all, I'd recommend it any day.

Bought this a few weeks ago as a first time turntable buyer. Not in stock at the branch, but Dan was able to find one and organised next day delivery at no extra cost. Easy to set up straight out of the box with minimal assembly. The phono cables which are wired into the turntable are a little bit short, which made wiring into the amp a bit fiddly with my hifi shelving unit, but once set up they are long enough. Very easy to use and really pleased with the sound. The unit also looks great and all parts appear and feel like they are quality and built to last. This model is a bit lighter on the ‘extra’ features side i.e no Bluetooth etc - for me this was perfect as I was not interested in the extra features. Bought as a very slight upgrade from a Project Elemental I bought at RS about 8 years ago. Connected to a Sonos amp with old wired Wharfedale speakers and a few Sonos speakers. Sonos recommends the phono version of this turntable but I have a Project phono box. Sounds great. Has the same cartridge but I swear it’s a little warmer (not that the old one sounded cold, which is something I had been concerned about with this set up). Also great build quality and cover. And my old Elemental is now in my study with an ancient Rotel amp and sounds great too!
Pro-Ject T1 Turntable. The shop staff when I called on the phone we’re super helpful. The delivery came next day. On the Turntable itself. Super easy to set up with clear instructions. Sound is really good compared with basic entry level and even slightly higher priced turntables from major brands. It’s very sturdy and looks sleek. For the money it’s spot on
Let me begin by saying that this is the first turntable I’ve ever paid more than $100 for. I’m very much NOT an audiophile. But I enjoy and appreciate good sound. That said, I was quite content with my older (and much cheaper) turntable. It wasn’t until a friend introduced me to their higher end turntable that I really started considering an upgrade. But after deciding to buy this unit, I can honestly say I have ZERO regrets. The sound is far better than anything my previous turntable could ever dream of producing! And the Bluetooth connectivity allows me to listen through my wireless headphones so as to not disturb others. The unit is well constructed and just feels like a quality piece of equipment. I saw this one today at London Drugs I pressed down next to the rear of the tone arm and the whole player lifted up!!!??? I looked underneath and there are three legs. not four, three!!!??? two in the front and one in the middle rear this is insane!! You can see the motor hole when the platter is off and it looks like 1/8 mdf all rough from the cut and such.I seriously wouldnt waste my money on this. I can't believe it is made this way. I bought a Debut III in 2018 and I have loved it. sure there were issues that warranty covered (broken ground and the vinyl peeled away on the back, But all in all thats a strong, simple player. This one isn't!!! don't waster your time
The T1 BT arrived yesterday. I'm always daunted by setting up new audio...I needn't have worried. Right out of the box it was the proverbial doddle.First album on was the last I played on my old deck "Baby Driver Soundtrack. I now hear so many more things. Depth of the base is one notable improvement.
I purchased the Pro-Ject T1-BT turntable on an upgrade basis, I researched the different options available to me within my budget range. The T1 deck has a minimalistic appearance, with the tone arm being the main component on display. The power switch is mounted on the LHS of the unit which is easily accessible and discreet. I have connected the output to an auxiliary input on a Bose speaker using the cables supplied with the deck. However Blue Tooth remains a connectivity option going forward but I like the analogue treatment the cables provide. I chose the piano black finish (which looks great) and I am very pleased with the sound, but I am now researching available speaker options. Altogether a very nice unit and one that I would recommend.
