Xtension 9 Evolution incorporates our more than 20 years of experience in turntable design in a compact form to fit standard width audio racks. The chassis of the Xtension 9 is made of MDF filled with metal granules to minimize self-resonance and increase mass. Magnetic feet effectively decouple the turntable, which weighs a total of 16 kg, from its footprint, resulting in a perfect symbiosis of the principles of mass drive and sub-chassis. The special platter of the Xtension 9 Evolution is not made of resonance-prone metal, but is a proprietary construction of a special perfectly balanced cast metal alloy, which is TPE-damped and uses recycled vinyl records as a mat. The result is a heavy, completely resonance-free platter that glides rumble-free on a magnet-assisted inverted ceramic bearing. The Xtension 9 Evolution comes complete with the high-end 9cc Evolution tonearm, and a cover is also included.
