Fantastic CPU, my first i7 build and definitely worth it. My only gripe is that it gets a bit toasty while gaming and that's with an AIO cooler. To rectify this I slightly undervolted it and kept the same performance and reduced temperatures by 10-15 degrees Celcius.

I replaced an older AMD system with one configured with this 13700k. It runs very cool, is extremely fast and is well worth the money if you're looking at the z690 or z790 platforms.
Good compromise between a high core count that enables basic editing work (photo / video), as well as gaming at a reasonable price compared to the higher end models (i9-13900 / AMD 7900), while still keeping a reasonable price compared to those models.Its power demands are on the upper end, but you will not usually run it at full load. Nevertheless, it requires a good case and a good cooling solution
Pros: A massive improvement from the previous generation core i7.Cons: A bit power hungry, but undervolting is easy and helps a ton.
I just built an Asus Strix Z790E with 32GB of DDR5. I was concerned about power consumption with this chip but it runs as cool as my previous 8700k. It has double my Novabench cpu scores and memory scores are ridiculous fast. Shows 20 cores in device manager. Running memory at XMP3 - 6000. Super fast and very happy.

Just upgraded to the 13700K on the Z690 Asus Strix platform. The 13700K is a powerhouse of a CPU which is really a 12900K + in disguise. Installing was straightforward and I am cooling with a 360mm AIO and absolutly no issues. Running with a smalll overcllock to 5.4GHz all P Core and 4.4GHz all E Core with an offset vcore. Temps are great with rock solid stability....More than happy and delivered as per usual by Scan on time...
