I had 2 dogs that I did not brush their teeth and had to spend several thousand dollars to clean their teeth each year. My new dog is getting his teeth brushed regularly with Petsmile and he likes the flavor. The brush does a great job, too! After reading many reviews of dog dental products, I believe this is the best product for my dog's dental health.

I find that buying this is very worth not having to fork money out for doggy dentals which can really be a huge financial burden on pet owners and which always carry risk due to anesthesia. A few years ago, our vet stated that our dog would probably have to have a dental procedure the following year. With the help of this product, that procedure is no longer necessary or being recommended.

I did lots of research on dog toothpaste to see if it was worth it. This is the one that constantly came up as the best and recommended by the dental society in America. I used to have to order it from Ebay at great cost (but worth it as it is important for our dogs teeth). I'm so happy that Muddy paws now have it and I can order it easily and quickly. We have a greyhound and a kelpie and it is especially imperative that the Greyhound has her teeth brushed due to previous bad dental care.
My dogs like this toothpaste and don't mind having their teeth brushed. This is the only dog toothpaste brand I could find that seemed trustworthy. The toothbrushes have very soft bristles and feel sturdy compared to the generic brushes I previously used for my dogs.I wish that the toothbrushes were offered in different colors, so I could differentiate between both dogs' brushes. I put a sticker on one brush though, so I don't confuse them. I also wish there was a subscribe option that came with two toothbrushes and one unit of toothpaste.
I have had collies for 50 years and faithfully brushed their teeth daily. Still, after a year they needed a professional dental. My old boy even got Gingivitis and was in pain. I began using Smile and it’s been almost a year, and his teeth are clean and his gums are disease free. I just rescued a very abused dog with bad teeth and want to wait until he is more balanced before a dental appointment. Using SMILE is improving his gums and teeth, though a dental will be done when he is able. Thank you. I believe if you keep up a brushing routine, it really works.
We have been using this toothpaste for about 6 months, after having to spend $$$+ on specialty dental care. They had a follow up exam this week, and got an A from their veterinarian dentist. He commented that he rarely sees actual improvement- but both of our senior dogs did improve “vastly” after 6 months of daily use. The pups don’t seem to love the flavor, but after that great report card, we are sticking with Petsmile! Nice to be in a car with 3 dogs, and NO doggy breath!
This is the only expert approved toothpaste out there with quality safe ingredients for my precious dogs. You have to use it nightly to see results and persist. Improvements obvious over time . Heavy plaque growth will be controlled but not removed. Fantastic at preventing healthy teeth going the same way.

Yay!I wish Petsmile offered every flavor in a smaller tube, though, because even though this was pricey, it was still cheaper than the $25 standard tube. I also am keeping my fingers crossed for a vanilla or mint flavor will become available, because my boy loves vanilla so much. I currently use a USDA organic dog toothpaste, which is cinnamon flavored, but it doesn't have the VOHC seal, nor the enzyme technology. However, he loves that flavor! I actually brush with the cinnamon flavored paste, then apply the Petsmile as a finisher, because it'll sit in his mouth all night and I do like the fact that brushing with this isn't necessary.I'm going to purchase the cheese flavor today, even though it's a bigger tube, because I'm hoping that he'll enjoy it a bit more, and I do think it's making somewhat of a difference. Dental health is so important for pets, and honestly, when I got my first dog almost 20 years ago, it wasn't talked about enough.
last August I lured a 6 week old kitten out from under a car - we already had two cats and had no intention of adding another. Fast forward - she took an interest in my morning ritual of brushing my teeth, we got her a toothbrush a toothpaste (rotisserie chicken). The one morning I didn't do her teeth she got her toothbrush out and started rattling it in its case until I did her teeth. We hope this will be a life-long habit.On another note: last night I ordered a new tube of toothpaste - I put in the discount code and lost the option for free shipping which actually would have cost me more. I'm curious as to why this happened (?)
