Received this item this morning and had to give it a test run! I tried to slice a tomato, a very ripe tomato! It sliced it but not to my liking so I am reserving my opinion till I have a tomato that is overripe. Sliced and diced a potato and it does all of it beautifully. Pros would be, versatile with slice size and julienne features. Was easy to clean and love the blade lock feature !

I just ordered a second one for a gift! First one I paid more for from another website. These make quick work of slicing veggies and even makes cutting onions tear free. The safety glide and holder make it safe enough for the older kids to help (with supervision). Great for fries, salads, veggie trays, and so much more. I recommend this to everyone!

I am enjoying using this slicer, simple to use and even easier to wash. Safe, no chance of cutting your fingers in the process. After you have finished using the slicer place the blade in the closed position, wash, I drip dry, then put it away until next time. I have found that I have put it close by as it is very useful for slicing all sorts of things. Even cheese.

I am amazed at how often I am using this. Slicing tomatoes and onions for a hamburger cookout with my family was a breeze and took only minutes. Mainly, I like the way it can be cleaned up quickly and placed in a safe mode for storage. I had to throw a slicer away I had some years back because I kept cutting myself every time I picked it up. This is a very well made and well designed kitchen tool that I'm glad I found and bought.
We have many types of slicers in the past, that broke. But this has been by far the best, I love how it comes with all the attacchments in one, and don't have to store all the little items you don't need.
Two tries with this slicer were not good. Tried carrots which were awkward to capture with "gripper". Cheese did not slice at all. Tomatoes disintegrated. Tried different settings with very low success. Even a $3 box grater does better.
It is so good, I can’t believe how quickly it makes such a great job of slicing the cabbage for coleslaw, I make it all the time now it has taken the chore factor out.
The safety hand guard, three adjustable slicing thicknesses and two julienne cutting options makes this the perfect mandoline. I use it for onions, carrots and cabbage.
Great quality slicer, however, the design is poor. The thickness guage does not lock into place, so while the first slice might be as you selected it, the remaining pieces will all be different. The movement of the food adjusts the thickness plate. Returned the item, seeking a new one. Do not recommend, and way over priced anyway. This is a simple process of slicing - it should be more like $19.99 tops.

Something not reboxed 12 times. A box that doesn't have someone elses snot on it.
