I have only cooked twice on it so far, a whole chicken and a brisket. I found it hard to get the temperature past 200 with water in the pan, once starting warm and then putting in boiling, so I dumped the water out the second time (brisket) and that worked fine. After that I got the controls wortked out and it was fine. It is a robust and, more important, easy to clean piece of kit, goes together well.

I didn't know what I was missing until I bought this!Before I got this, my BBQ experience was limited to burgers, sausages and the occasional piece of chicken or kebab. American BBQ (cooking long and slow, often big cuts like brisket, pork butt or ribs) was a revelation - both in terms of the new flavours and tenderness of the meat, but also in the cooking style and social element. Good looking, brilliant design which is flexible in use and very well made. It can be used for hot smoking, BBQ and cold smoking - it has plenty of capacity with two stainless grills and fish hangers in the lid. It can be set up as a 1 or 2 stack BBQ/smoker or a bullet BBQ and you can get spare parts or accessories parts easily. Ive seen some more expensive competitor brands but this seems more flexible and the construction is equally as good. Very pleased with it and it is in constant use.
