Overall:I bought this PRS in order to take advantage of the 18 month interest free program. I chose the turquoise because the other colors only went to 12 months. I wasn’t certain after I bought it if I would like turquoise. The marketing photos don’t do it justice. It is absolutely beautiful! So clean looking. I own another PRS so I knew I would like the playability. It sounds so great. And it stays in tune even after some severe string bending. I love the neck and fingerboard. And the fret work is the finest I’ve seen. Kiesel custom guitars is the only company I know with impeccable fret work. The fret work on this guitar exceeds Kiesel. It is so easy to play. It appears to have been professionally set up. I love it and I do love the turquoise after all.

This 24 fret guitar with 2 splittable coil pickups is very versatile and easy to play. I love the neck. For a wide variety of styles with the coil splitting option, you can get several different sounds with the same guitar. It gives you a lot of versatility within 1 guitar. The neck is pretty smooth. The electronics are great. I like the Sunburst finish on mine. Stays in tune pretty well, sounds good through any pickup combination. It's a GREAT all around 24 fret guitar.

Overall:I was amazed at the beautiful finish. The website photo serves it no Justice. It appears flat in color. also being able to buy a left-handed, Paul Reed Smith. I have trouble finding left-handed guitars that I truly like. This Paul Reed Smith came with no set up required. It plays, wonderful, stays in tune, it also has a tone pull out button that gives you even more better sounds. This guitar definitely goes in the top three of my many guitars. I have Gibsons, Ibanez, and my Epiphone collection . I can get the perfect sound that I want out of any of my guitar amps. Sometimes I feel that my Paul Reed Smith is too beautiful to play. I’m afraid of scratching it, but once I start playing, I play for hours thank you so much zZounds for hooking me up with such an ... MoreOverall:I was amazed at the beautiful finish. I can't say it's perfect, but it is really great. Exactly what I wanted for the price point. I did go into the store and tried about 5 ones til I found the one I knew I wanted. Some I tried had minor fret snag or buzz that could have been remedied. The one I chose has perfect fret work. I took it to a luthier for a once over and he couldn't charge me. He had nothing to do. Proper string change and a little nut sauce and it stays in tune very well with all but the craziest dive bombs. The tops on the SE line vary, mine is very nice. I did put some foam under the trem springs, they rattle a little bit. As for now I like the sound of the pickups. I did hit the switcher with a little deoxit. Coil split sounds are definitely usable. I have 2 other guitars for comparison. ... MoreI can't say it's perfect, but it is really great. Exactly what I wanted for the price point. I have 2 other guitars for comparison. '05 US Fender Strat and '99 Samick Artist series with Seymour Duncan's. This SE holds its own with either of those in build quality and sound. Hasn't been on a gig yet but it's been put through its paces at home and in the studio. Wouldn't hesitate to take to a gig. Would definitely recommend.
This PRS 24 SE guitar is brilliant and great value - just as online content and reviews show. It arrives well set up and intonated (with a tiny intonation adjustment on the B string). This was a first PRS after playing Fenders for over fifty years and it is hard to put it down! The narrow-to-wider neck takes a little getting used to. The veneered finish is immaculate, the range of tone is great, tuning and trem is stable, the frets are mirror with rolled edges, the pickups are crystal. As with any incoming guitar, I polished the frets anyway with ultra fine wire wool and lemon-oiled the fretboard when fitting new 9's. It is an excellent guitar!
After playing it for 6 months I decided to stick with the height of the strings on the neck, since I realized the pickups sounded better than lowering the action. Sure, I could've adjusted the pickup height and readjusted the intonation. But I thought if this is how Paul thinks his guitars should be set-up, why not give it some time. What I will say is that I am dissatisfied with the tuners. I play at least 2 hours every day and typically play this one at least 30-60 minutes depending on my mood. Lately I find that I need to keep a tuner on the headstock to retune every 10 minutes or so. The B string tuner slipped when I got it though I figured I would eventually put lockers on after awhile. Well after a week of retuning so often now is getting to be the time. I have seven other electrics and these tuners suck big time. So, if you like the guitar how it sounds save yourself the headache when you buy it and get locking tuners.
Overall:When I bought this guitar, I had my doubts that it would be my type of guitar. Im used to Jackson, Schector, Ibanez and others. Been a heavy rock guitarist since the 80's. I have to tell ya, I was totally WRONG! I picked this guitar up and felt the absolute miricle of craftsmanship then the sound....OMG, it was instant love. I have had it for several months and have only picked up one of my other guitars twice. I honestly wanted to find something wrong with this guitar but I just cant. With the right rig, you can play any style of music you want, its just that versatile. The only thing I would like to see on it is a form of lock nut to help with tuning. I swapped out the stock PRS tuners for a set of PRS locking tuners and it made a big difference. I would ... MoreOverall:When I bought this guitar, I had my doubts that it would be my type of guitar. If you buy it, you wont be dissapointed.
If you are looking for a guitar that can be used on all occasions, if you are undecided and do not know which guitar to choose, if you do not know which way to go, whether a strat, super strat or a Les Paul. Well, here you have the indicated guitar. I did not know what to choose, I tried many guitars, at the guitar center in Lynnwood WA, they were patient with me when I arrived and tried several guitars repeatedly, they are very kind. But in the end I was looking for a guitar that would be useful for everything, I wanted quality, comfort, good sound and versatility. Do not miss the opportunity to take one of these and I assure you that you will not regret it
