Openings in traps are too large and no crabs have been caught
Bought this last year as it fits my single kayak. Used it about 3-4 times but everytime all the bait was gone but no crabs. Switched to the LARGER one(although more bulky and unwieldy to handle on kayak) & success on the first go(2 muddies and 5 blue swimmers) in the same area, using the same bait. 2nd go 4 blue swimmers, 3rd go 2 muddies and 2 blue swimmers. the openings appear to be too big and crabs seem to get in and out easily. Happy to know that it works for some. Sadly it would have been a great size to work with. In the sea with strong currents, I added 1/2kg to weigh it down.
Exactly what i needed. Works well & takes up very little space compared to conventional ceab pots.I am very happy with them.
Very light and prone to being carried away with the tide. Needs to be tied to the bank or tree. Wouldn’t recommend it. The only positive is can bd easily stored.
