First time that I've tried a Puma running shoe and the Forever Run is just amazing. So smooth to run in and the support is incredibly effective yet discreet. The orange colourway gets dirty quite quickly in a typical British winter, but other than that it is impossible to fault.

I purchased the Forever Run about a month ago. I only have 30km in them so far. For the moment, the pros are a comfortable and bouncy midsole, a grippy outsole, and a certain versatility as despite the weight, we can still pick up the pace. However, if the toe box is accommodable, the midfoot is quite narrow, the heel has a tendency to slip and the mesh is quite warm, particularly with the high temperatures of these days.

These are the best shoes I've found for my overpronation. I wear these on my longer runs 10+ miles. In other shoes, my feet and knees are sore after a run but in these, I have no akes and pain. The inner foam is a little squishy when first wearing but it feels better the more i used them.

The Forever Run Nitro has been quite a disappointment on my end. Though the foam is nicely soft and the outsole quite grippy, the shoe is pretty constrictive in the mid-foot area (despite a fairly large toe box) and the mesh is not very breathable (beyond 25 degrees Celsius, feet are cooking inside). The lockdown is difficult to adjust. There is also not a high responsiveness with this shoe which limits it pretty much for slow pace recovery. Had I known that beyond 100k the feeling would still be the same, I would have returned them. The Velocity Nitro 2 (purchased some months ago) is a way better and more versatile shoe in my opinion.
Had a great chat with a Puma marketing guy about this shoe. He sold me! And I loved running in them. However after just 60 miles a large spot had worn through on the tread. Now I am a hard heal striker but that's just way way to quick. Now at 75 miles and the hole is as big around as a silver dollar and deep. Oh well.
Cushioning is rated at 4/5 and the Deviate 2 at 5/5, when should be the other way around.Very comfortable shoes. I bought it already 4 times.I use it in forest tracks around Frankfurt as well as on asphalt.Distances 15k-42k
I'm a neutral runner and have never had the need to run in stability shoes. I tried one and didn't like its obtrusiveness that seemed to make you run in a certain way. Then, I read/saw the reviews about the ForeverRun being more of a "guidance" shoes for neutral runners and I decided to give it a try.I have a good number of shoes from various brands for the easy/recovery/slow category and I have to say that the ForeverRun just may be my favorite of the bunch. It's not too soft/squishy and it's not too firm/stiff; it's right in between while providing plenty of protection from impact. The ride is smooth and pleasant and I appreciate how it guides my feet to land neutrally when I'm logging the easy and slow miles for recovery after fast tempo or threshold workouts ... MoreI'm a neutral runner and have never had the need to run in stability shoes. It's also lighter and more nimble than the typical max-cushioned shoes, so you can pick up the pace a bit without getting dragged down by bulk and weight. For some, it'd be a good daily trainer as well. I'm very impressed by the ForeverRun and highly recommend it.
Puma markets the shoe as a "support shoe" designed with over pronators in mind. Having run in the shoe a few times now I would describe it as a cushioned shoe that is more stable than a lot of highly cushioned models. Anyone with serious over pronation would be better looking elsewhere if they want a shoe to cover lots of miles in. Having said that, I have enjoyed the runs I have done so far, no great distance but a variety of paces, mainly on tarmac but some smooth parkland. Looking forward to doing a lot more runing in the shoe. I certainly think it will handle a wide range of different sessions from easy paced recovery runs to hill sessions and intervals.
40km into the shoe (4 runs by 10km each) and can't continue to wear them. On the left foot there is some structural issue that is making my left small toe go numb and experience a shock feeling. I don't wear wide shoes and haven't had this issue before in any other shoe. I can't swap insoles as the issue is too painful to experiment with. Right foot always felt great. Unfortunate I can't enjoy the shoe because the ride is otherwise great.
I have 30 miles in these. Despite the low weight, these do feel heavier than one might think. Good protection but does not have the pop like the Velocity Nitro. I’ve run in three pairs of those. Still, a good shoe for easy paces. Don’t like the metatarsal pad that the sock liner has. Wish Puma would offer one without. Shoe laces a bit too short.
