Overall, there were and are quite a number of things about this shampoo with regards to the way it works with my current (used to be different when I was younger) hair type and condition. My current hair type of relatively thin/fine, ever so *slightly* wavy when it has not been straightened, and sort of a 'combination hair' type - tending to be drier and more prone to breakage near the tips, yet more oily to regular (depending on the day, time of day, weather, my activity level that day, etc) near the top/roots/my scalp area. Some of the things I loved most so far about this after having used this shampoo for probably about seven times or so since receiving it (sometimes my hair gets so oily towards the top - in the summer particularly, that I have to wash it twice a day!) are the light and pleasant, slightly fruity smell (it makes me think strawberries, somewhat), the smoothness of the product, how nicely it lathers, and how it, in combination with the Pureology Strength Cure Conditioner and Miracle Filler products that I also received from my box already seemed to have been making it significant difference to my hair's softness, strength, shine, and overall feeling of increased health. The main thing that I found problems *for me personally* about this shampoo, was that, while it generally has seemed to work very well for the mid-shafts to ends/tips of my hair in terms of nourishing and cleansing properties, unfortunately I found that on a number of occasions, it has not been quite cleansing or clarifying enough near my roots/scalp area for me to feel that that area of my hay was thoroughly clean - therefore, I personally had to either mix or follow up this shampoo with a different shampoo that I have found more clarifying for me personally (recently I have been using an Aussie brand shampoo - I think a volume one, but I can double check on that later). This is my genuine experience with the product so far, and I do hope it has helped you out too! My ethnicity is Asian - Chinese, specifically (my mother is from Hong Kong), and of European Jewish descent on my father's side of the family. Hopefully that may also help give you some baseline information about where my mixed-ancestry hair type originates from. This is a product that I would recommend most for people with regular to drier hair *or* for those of you who are like me with the 'combination hair' I described above, something that would be good to use on the mid-shafts to ends/tips of your hair. Hope this helped you, and pleas don't hesitate to drop a comment if you have used this shampoo yourself as well, and/or have questions for me about my experience of using it so far. 😊

I am a hair colorist and stylist. Purology has always been one of my favorite product lines for color/chemically treated hair. I am looking forward to seeing how this line works on a few of my clients who have hair that could use some tlc ✂️ But, first and foremost, I was excited to try this line on my own hair, after just having a baby recently I felt like my hair hasn’t been as full and thick as it was during and before my pregnancy, my texture has also been so coarse dry feeling, I have been trying to give my hair a rest from chemical treatments and color, and it still doesn’t have the shine, lustre, and softness that I feel it once had. I tried this shampoo, conditioner and treatment the other night, and I was immediately impressed by the lather and scent. It’s a soft luxurious lather, that made my hair texture (even wet) feel smoother following just one shampoo. I noticed that I have been shedding like crazy every time I washed and conditioned my hair, and following this shampoo I felt like I lost significantly less hair. The conditioner didn’t weigh my hair down, and was thick and left my hair feeling super moisturized, but it wasn’t too heavy, and it didn’t weigh my hair down and flatten it at the root. For my hair type which is wavy and thick. I have always believed that you know you have found a great combination of cleansing and leave-in products, when you can toss aside the blow dryer allow your hair to air-dry. My hair felt so sufficiently hydrated, after using the shampoo, conditioner and the new filler treatment spray. I was able to avoid styling with hot-tools, just scrunch to add texture while damp. My hair was perfection after air drying. Using a good shampoo and conditioner and leave in treatment like these, saved me the time of blow drying and saved my hair from more heat damage. I am always partial to discovering products to use on myself and my hair clients that have the ingredients that improve the look, texture while making styling times as low maintence as possible. This line particularly the 3 products, purology sent me, provided my hair the foundation to air dry beautifully, and all I had to do was scrunch it while damp, to activate my natural wave and texture, the products tackled my frizz, softened maintained the body, and the shine I needed for an effortless result.

Y'all...This shampoo/conditioner is legit. Let me first say I have well water, I use heat on my hair and get highlights on my long fine hair so I have some pretty extensive damage. Short of cutting it all off (not ready for that yet) I decided to give it a try after a YouTuber I follow recommended it for my healthier hair journey. I've used A LOT of salon quality shampoos in the past, never being impressed for all the money I fork out on them. My last shampoo purchase was a drugstore brand that I got because it was the most amazing smelling stuff ever and I was tired of spending money and getting the same results. (I know, blasphemy). Finally coming to grips I needed to spend the money and switch back to a better brand if I was ever going to heal my damaged hair, I took the leap. And let me tell you I'm so glad I did. First off, I didn't even mind getting rid of the drug store brand after I used this stuff. Holy heavens to Betsy, it smells amazing! I've been sniffing my hair all day! My hair feels super soft, it's shiny and frizzy split ends are softer and less noticeable. This is after ONE wash y'all. I can't wait to see what it does after 6 months of use, combined with the other changes I'm making for healthier hair. Once I've used it more, I'll leave another updated review about how long the shampoo/conditioner has lasted and how it's helped my hair. I didn't have any close up before pics but I hope this review helps if you're considering buying. As of right now, I highly recommend this product!

This is the first shampoo I've bought that was not a drugstore brand and I am mourning the 21 years I went using silicone-filled products instead. I love this shampoo it's made my super tangly hair incredibly soft. The smell is amazing and the tiniest bit goes such a long way since it lathers so well (I'm super guilty for typically using way too much product). My hair is long, fine, and super damaged from years of bleaching and coloring but this shampoo has definitely made the immediate after-shower results amazing, it's a lot easier to comb my hair and style it! I also have always struggled with dandruff so I was worried using this would make my dandruff come back but its actually helped controlled it surprisingly! I know that's what it's advertised to do but just feeling how soft and clean and manageable my hair is now is perfect enough for me! Hopefully, the longer I use it the even better the results are.

Love pureology! I also like the hydrate line (I think that one is the best from this brand)! I knocked one start off because I feel like this shampoo made my hair feel greasy and heavy after a couple of months HOWEVER I wasn’t using any detox shampoos and I was using a lot of dry shampoo.Pros to this product is that I love the smell, it’s unique and feminine.Cons:It is a tad heavy. The conditioner feels more like a mask which is great if you have super dry bleached hair. The majority of my hair is virgin with just bleached ends and I found this a little heavy on my wavy hair.I don’t think I’d purchase this again but I would purchase pureology hydrate which is the purple bottle! Still a great shampo and I’m not upset that I bought it, just think it’s more ... MoreLove pureology! I also like the hydrate line (I think that one is the best from this brand)! 29 August 2021

First, a bit about my hair – so, you have a sense of comparison. My hair is straight and fine, but I have a lot of it, and it has been colored for years and years … everything from fashion colors to varying highlights to my current platinum hair. Basically, my hair was damaged, weak, and tired, my ends were incredibly dry, and, at one point, I even had massive breakage (as in clumps of hair breaking off when I brushed my hair – see photo). I have tried, what feels like, every single hair product known to man from supplements to specialized shampoo and conditioner to leave in conditioners to various oils – you get the idea (you can see some of those products in the background of the photo). So, I was a bit skeptical to try yet another “repair” shampoo, but I am ... MoreFirst, a bit about my hair – so, you have a sense of comparison. I have tried, what feels like, every single hair product known to man from supplements to specialized shampoo and conditioner to leave in conditioners to various oils – you get the idea (you can see some of those products in the background of the photo). So, I was a bit skeptical to try yet another “repair” shampoo, but I am thrilled that I did. Within the product description it states that the shampoo “instantly repairs and shows results after just one use” … well, that statement is true, at least for me. Normally when I wash my hair, after I rinse the shampoo, my ends still have texture to them (they still feel dry); however, after using the combination of BOTH the shampoo and conditioner, my ends felt as smooth as the rest of my hair. Honestly, I have not felt that smooth texture on my ends in years and years.I love that the formula contains less than 1% of synthetic fragrances (though it smells great), is 100% vegan and doesn’t contain parabens or Sulfates SLS or SLES. Yes, the price might seem high, however, you must consider that the shampoo is so highly formulated that one bottle allows for over 75+ shampoos … that’s right, 75+!This shampoo & conditioner did more for my hair in one single wash than any other product has done, period. My hair is much healthier and stronger singly handily because of this shampoo and conditioner. If you are tired of trying product after product after product, give this combo a try!*I received this product complimentary from Influenster and Pureology for testing purposes.

Pureology Conditioner not what I expected!

For the price I really expected better ! I compared the product with Joico and Olaplex and it’s similar with Joico performance which is significantly cheaper ! Not impressed in their claims ! My hair was damaged so I decided to try other products and after using this my hair behaved exactly the same as while using Joico ! I also used the Pureology leave in and the performance was not good , the Matrix is much better ! My hair didn’t feel silkier or healthy, after all this !I tried Olaplex later and I saw a huge difference right away , my hair was way better with less breakage! Also one of the best product I tried for damage was K18, after the treatment with their leave in conditioner my hair had almost no breakage and looked healthy! The conclusion of this is not ... MoreFor the price I really expected better ! to preface i have 3b/3c mid density low porosity hair!!!!i have gone about 10 years not taking care of my hair since i was in my teens due to how i was raised and environmental stressors. i finally decided to take care of my hair to help my mental health and after tons of research decided on this line to help rehydrate my hair and scalp from all the lack of care and damage i have caused (constant heat damage & color) this shampoo (and conditioner) genuinely changed the shower game for me. my curls were almost straight from my lack of care and after two washes DAYS apart, my curls are activated on their own with little to no help from other products.for me, smell is very important in hair care as i cannot use anything that doesn't have a lasting scent or a scent ... Moreto preface i have 3b/3c mid density low porosity hair!!!!i have gone about 10 years not taking care of my hair since i was in my teens due to how i was raised and environmental stressors. i finally decided to take care of my hair to help my mental health and after tons of research decided on this line to help rehydrate my hair and scalp from all the lack of care and damage i have caused (constant heat damage & color) this shampoo (and conditioner) genuinely changed the shower game for me. my curls were almost straight from my lack of care and after two washes DAYS apart, my curls are activated on their own with little to no help from other products.for me, smell is very important in hair care as i cannot use anything that doesn't have a lasting scent or a scent i dislike. this scent lasts DAYS in my hair and its wonderful! even after putting my leave in conditioner and other serums and balms. it has strengthened my hair as well as taken away almost all of the frizz. please try using the travel sizes first to make sure this is for you as one dime size drop is enough for one wash! can't wait to try the hair mask from this line!
