I ordered two of the Pyrex Oval casserole dishes, and theyre great and came at the time they stated, but one came with a significant chip on the side of the inner the lid making it wobbly when on top of the dish. This was probably due to no bubble wrap in between the lid and the dish, only the original pyrex cardboard packaging. As it is broke glass, it could pose as dangerous when used in the oven as it could break further and I have attached pictures. I would like some form of refund or replacement for the one. I would have put down 5 stars if one wasnt broken.

Needed a large casserole dish for a family gathering and this one was a good price. It has plenty of space for about 8 or more good adult portions. The fit of the lid is a bit odd. It simply rests on the base with a sligh ridge to keep it in place. Not very secure and care is needed when moving it. However, if the handling lugs are used carefully it is fine. It cleans perfectly in my dishwasher even after a long cook with burned on food. Wouldnt want to hand wash it though.Overall, very pleased and would recommend.

I needed a very large casserole as I make meals in large quantities to freeze afterwards. All the ones in the shops were too small for my needs and cost considerably more than I paid for this one. It was well packed and quickly delivered and was just what I wanted. What more could I ask for. Highly recommended.

I wanted a large capacity ovenproof dish so I can make a bigger rice pudding and this casserole is ideal for the job. Its a little heavy when full but thats a good thing. Its very versatile and you can cook-bake any number of foods. Definitely a good buy.
I was worried about buying this by post as other items from EBAY had been trashed by the various couriers. However this one was well packed and arrived safely. Excellent for roasting or a slow cook casserole during the winter months. Makes cheaper cuts of meat oh so tender. The big handles make it easy to get out of the oven but check the size as I doubt it will fit in a 50cm cooker. You will need a 60cm wide cooker or bigger.
I have used this for whole poultry but I found a prefer roasting chickens in a shallower dish and just using a bit of foil if needed. What this is excellent for is anything you might otherwise use a casserole for I mostly slowbraise beef shin or neck in this and it is ideal for that.
Excellent value for money and very big Could easily get a large chicken and vegetables in it. Came really well wrapped and packaged with the label giving 10 year guarantee. Cant say much else really as the name Pyrex speaks for itself.
I wish I had bought it 20 years ago. The roast lamb leg with vegetables and the roast chicken with rice have never been easier to cook. I shall of more ways to use it. The only problem is storage of this big and beautiful item.
