I have had this set since 2014. I use it daily for a variety of cooking tasks, from mixing cake and cookie batters, to tossing a salad (snap on the lid and shake, easy), to marinading meat and fish. These bowls are sturdy and thick and easy to clean. They work well in the microwave, also. Another great thing is that I am not afraid to let my children cook meals with these because they are so sturdy and can take nearly anything you do to them. The lids also are brightly colored, easy to find, and thick enough to not become warped and distorted. I don't actually own any other mixing bowls because these are all I need. The only negative thing I can think of is that the largest lid doesn't fit well in my cabinet and is a little hard to store properly.

The best bowls with lids I ever bought. Really like it. Useful. Bought it in Costco. Great affordable price. Perfect design, and lids. Recommend 100%. Will buy it again.

I have multiple sets of pyrex storage bowls and containers. They hold up well, make storage a breeze and are easy to wash and reuse. I especially adore this set of mixing bowls with lids from Pyrex because whether I am making Snickerdoodles, sugar cookies, pie crust, etc., these bowls make it incredibly easy to refrigerate the dough prior to using it for baking cookies, pies, etc. I certainly do not miss the saran wrap and tin foil I used to have to attempt to use to cover my mixing bowls with prior to sticking them in the fridge. These also work great for salads (pasta salad, fruit salad, potato salad, etc.). They make storing and transporting dishes to Summer parades and picnics a total breeze. 2 inch black thing in the glass of the large bowl

The Pyrex box arrived inside an Amazon box. Didn't order from Amazon so that was a little confusing to begin with. Once I opened the Amazon box and pulled out the Pyrex box it was covered in tape, lots of tape. Obviously it had been opened and taped, taped, taped. The large bowl has a black two inch thing in the side of it. I ran it thru the dishwasher but it's still there. Now I'm wondering if these bowls are seconds, used, etc. I expect it'll crack and break in no time. Too much trouble to send them back or I would. Not happy.

Dangerous product!

We received a set of these as a wedding gift in July. Two weeks ago, a couple hours after *hand washing* the medium bowl and nesting it back in the stack, the largest bowl scared the bejeezuz out of us by SPONTANEOUSLY EXPLODING in the cupboard. Thank god the door was closed or someone might have gotten a face full of glass!! We have never used these in ways not specified by the manual and they have never been in the oven. We're currently pursuing a warranty solution, but I would NOT purchase these again. (Note: if you google it, we're not the only ones that have had this happen—so scary!!!)

Disappointed

I'm disappointed. I bought the measuring cups, and they're of great quality. This set of mixing bowls, however, are disappointing. There are some defects in the four-quart bowl. I contacted Pyrex and asked them if they could send a replacement. I haven't heard from them yet. If I don't soon, I'll have to send them all back to Walmart.I own many Pyrex products, and they are all quality products. I'm not sure why these bowls have such defects.

Great go-to

Works as expected. Looks nice and functions well. I don’t know what else you want me to write but apparently the first two sentences were too short of a review so here’s some additional words that add absolutely no value to my review but meet your standards. I also downgraded from 5 stars to 4 because of this.

Pyrex is renowned for quality and durability, so while purchasing other products here, I came across this set on sale. As customary for me, I compared and contrasted details and prices. Walmart listed price came out on top.They arrived packaged very well, and quality is Excellent. Instead of using my Emeril and Wolfgang Puck Stainless Steel bowls for mixing ingredients for cakes, etc, I now reach for these Pyrex bowls for mixing and baking. Mixing bowls

I bought these as a replacement for my 43 year old pyrex mixing bowls that broke after a shelf in my cabinet mysteriously came loose and they tumbled out shattering into a million pieces. I was heartbroken as I loved and used those bowls just about every day. At first I was going to replace them but then I decided to buy these. While they are adequate, they don't have the same feel as the original bowls. I do like the covers though, saves on foil or wrap. I have to work a bit harder to get to the middle bowl which is the one I use most often. But as I said, they work but I'm still missing my old bowls.

Multi use-mix, serve, store, heat

Great bowls. Lids fit tight but not "snap" tight like tupperware. Measurement across bowls inside rim to inside rim-6 1/2", 7 1/2", 8 1/2", 9 1/2" -to include rims add 1". I will probably use smaller sizes when refrigerating food. If serving, some foods like salads just look better in clear glass.
