I bought the Q Acoustic 3050i speakers to accompany my new Cambridge Audio CX series 2 system. They are attached to the CXA81 integrated amplifier using unterminated Chord Company Clearway X speaker cable. The 3050is seems more than able to cope with it all.Initially I noticed some bass boom, I have the speakers the recommended minimum of 200mm from the rear wall but I do not have much space to the side of the left hand speaker (see picture). It was the left speaker that seemed to be booming the most and it is very close the the sideboard, so I think these definitely need breathing space to the sides, 500mm is recommended. I followed the manual in this scenario and inserted the supplied foam bung into the bass port on the back of each speaker. Wow the difference this made was incredible. Absolutely no boom at all and a very tight and punchy bass. I have these stood on a solid wood parquet floor which is over concrete (converted farm building) so there is no vibration at all but you can certainly still feel the bass. I might add the Q B12 subwoofer next year for more grunt, but it's not really necessary for a lot on the music I listen to.I just want to mention that I originally ordered these from Sevenoaks Sound and Vision because they were out of stock at Richer Sounds. I wish I had just phoned Richer Sounds because despite saying they would be delivered free in 3 to 5 days Sevenoakes did not actually have any stock. After finding that they were back in stock at Richer Sounds I placed an order at 3:40 pm, paid for next day delivery, and they arrived the next morning.I'm really glad I bought these.

I currently have these two speakers set up in a 3.0 system with the QA 3090Ci in the middle and they work really well. An upgrade to a 5.0 or 5.1 home cinema configuration in the near future is already being planned. I substituted a pair of Kef iQ30s which were clearer on speech, but a little hard/metallic on music, plus there was only upper bass (and sometimes a bit too much of it!).Coincidently, I came across a review of the Q3050i in a 2018 copy of HiFi World where it said that they were clear, neutral, & had good bass for the size. I am genuinely blown away by these beautiful looking and stunning sounding monoliths. A brief bit of context: I have gradually been converting my music files to high res (16 bit-24 bit and 44kHz) and also streaming in Lossless format. When my old Cambridge audio amp blew, I replaced it with the superior 6000A. The sound quality was leagues ahead, but I felt that my now ancient TDL Saturn 10 speakers were exhibiting distortion and were not maximising on the quality of sound I had anticipated. I did a fair bit of research to find the best speaker for me, that would pair well with my new 6000A. Literally (and you hear this a lot), I was hearing elements and intricacies I had never heard, in my 5 years of frequent play of the track. Seriously stunning! I was transfixed and mesmerised. I have listened to a variety of genres since and I am constantly being amazed by the glorious richness and clarity these speakers bring. For an electronic music lover, this set up is perfect. But they deliver just a wonderfully with Classical, Folk, pop and rock. It's no exaggeration for me to say that these speakers have revealed to me a whole new experience of and love for music. Frankly, I wouldn't hesitate and I'm gobsmacked I have allowed myself to enjoy quality of sound like this for so long. Furthermore, I ordered these on line on a Friday afternoon, and they were delivered to me by Richer sounds, the following afternoon. Amazing product. Amazing service.

I also thought about getting Fyne Audio F303 and Dali Oberon 5 units but after much research and reading od reviews I decided to go for these. They are hooked up to a Rotel RA-10 amp and a Linn Axis turntable and I also took the opportunity to upgrade my speaker wire to some Audioquest Rocket 11.The units themselves are finished really well, mine are Walnut, and to be honest they look really good - much more modern than say the Fyne Audio which to my eyes look a little bit dated.So onto performance - obviously I have only had them just over a week so it is early days but I am pretty much blown away. Brought the Q3050i speakers approx to replace others, the sound quality was so much more richer, clear and crisp. We use as part of 5.1 channel system. The hieght of them helps to even out the sound picking up the effects. The removeable mesh covers over cones gives the choice to show cones or not but they do provide protection. They are very easy to sey up do not look out of place or to bulky in the room [ we live in bungalow the lounge is not that big ]. Would recommend these as part of system or even on there own.
These replace my 2050i speakers and were well worth the change. More depth, bass and imaging. As always the price at Richer Sounds was to best out there. I feel I’ve got a bargain and a significant improvement. One other thing which is worthy of mention. These were a graphite factory order so was expecting a few days wait. Arrived the day after ordering! You can’t beat that. Very happy with my purchase and top class service from Richer Sounds. I never go anywhere else!

Alas it was I who had to contact Richer Sounds for a delivery update only to be informed that there are further delays in the delivery.This was both annoying but moreover disappointing that I was not kept up to date. This isn't Richer Sounds usual high standard.I however digress. They is a definite step change compared to my (20 plus year old) Mission speakers, the vocals are richer and the bass is more refined.I also have the sub connected using AV control but there is a hum at volumes higher than 50%. This could be related to my failed reciever so can't really comment until I have my new Sony.My gut feel is these will be five star speakers but I can't stretch to that yet because of the uncertainty of the sub and the inability to test the other speakers in the set.Richer Sounds, please keep your customers up to date, even if the news is bad. That way we don't look at every delivery van in anticipation.
After hearing these speaker Q Acoustic 3050i at richersounds in Nottingham paired with the Cyrus one HD using my phone as a source Audio going through my Audioquest dragonfly Cobalt DAC amp in to the line input of the Cyrus one HD WOW just WOWI was sold absolutely an awesome setup it's everything I was looking for.Have to say richersounds know there stuff 100% definitely a look at if you looking to buy a new hifi system or home theatre system or just looking to upgrade.Big thank you Rob of richersounds NottinghamFor you help.Kind regardsPaul
I bought these speakers a little over a week ago. There still bedding in and only improving day by day.I should mention I upgraded from some wharfedale 10.1's and wharfedale sw250. These are my first floor standers and I'm so impressed with the balance, poise and musicality of these speakers. Hearing new details in albums I've listened too all my life. Dark side of the moon is almost like I've never listened to it before. Also these floor standers have made my old sw250 redundant they cover the high mids and lows so well.After a day of owning these speakers it became apparent my old amp a Marantz pm6003 was not pushing them. And I couldn't praise the sales, customer care teams at richer sounds enough. They are outstanding in there field.
