I bought this tile cutter for an outside job using 600x600 3.5mm tiles and was very happy with the results. I actually worked as a wall/ floor tiler for 2 years... many years ago and I can say that this cutter produced almost similar results to our industrial diamond saw. There are some 'flaws/ conditions' with this cutter- 1. It needs to be dead flush (when making a cut) or you will jam the blade 2. You really need 2 people to cut tiles- one person cutting and the other constantly filling up the water tray (I paid my daughter for 4hrs of water tray filling) 3. I had to anchor the machine to a wood base (I used a pallet and screwed it on to stop it moving around). If you're after razor-clean cut's, perhaps invest in a different blade than the one that comes in the ... MoreI bought this tile cutter for an outside job using 600x600 3.5mm tiles and was very happy with the results. It's very cheap (price-wise), but will get the job done. If you've never tiled before, there is a bit of a learning curve and you'll need some patience and YouTube videos :) . Best of luck!

This thing cuts great, BUT the guarding cannot be tightened so it falls down and you cant see what your doing, the water reservoir lasts about 30s and in that time the blade is adequately wet and you are very wet! Try it without the guard and water goes everywhere (for 30s until it runs out of water). The unit is rubbish, but bunnings warranty is great <3. Don't waste your time on this one.

Unit cuts well and easy to use.It does drag the water out of the container and needs refilling after every cut. Excess water runs everywhere. I modified the water guard to help keep the water off the motor.Motor ran very hot after about 1/2 hour of constant cuts. For the cheap price I still think it was a great deal and ideal for DIY jobs.

I bought this to retile a kitchen and found the saw itself to be adequate and very good value. The cutting disc however would not cut the tiles without chipping them, even after cutting through masking tape.I installed a good quality cutting disc and found the tile cuts were then perfect. My recommendation, but the tile cut saw, toss and replace the cutting disc, factor in the price of a new disc and it's still good value for money.
It's a reasonable price. We purchased an upgraded blade after reading the review comments hoping it would help with the chipping. It didn't really. It seems to chip as the cut nears the end. We were able to minimise this by adding pressure when pulling the tile out the other end. Regardless, it was the right price to complete a job that would have been extremely hard work without it. Manually cutting long lines straight, time waster!
Basically you get what you pay for. Needed cheap and got cheap.Saw empties out water trough with one cut so constantly have to keep re-filling.When blade safety guard is lowered it is impossible to see where tile is being cut.Measure scale useless decoration as not accurate.Over all not impressive.
Bought today and I'll be returning it tomorrow. Followed the vague instructions. Installed the blade correctly using outer and inner flanges and it scrapes the cutting deck so much that the motor won't turn. Bunnings should be ashamed of the quality of some of the products they expect us to buy and be happy with. 👎
I bought this tool earlier today to replace a well worn scriber and breaker. After using up 3 tiles on test cuts and rereading the instructions several times I will be returning it for a refund in the morning. The quality of the cut is very rough and aesthetically unacceptable, as per other reviews it is messy with water flying about but that is normal with a wet saw, it’s the very poor finish that motivates its return.Additionally there is no “pusher” to guide the tile so your fingers are too close to the blade, this would be an inexpensive addition to the box and is already standard with all table saws for wood.
I bought this to do three bedrooms and I am very disappointed in how slow and messy and awkward this machine is. The guard hides the cutting blade so you can only do parallel cuts. You have to go really slow otherwise it bogs down and stops the motor is not strong enough. The water goes everywhere it does not go back in its catchment. You have to refill the catchment every tile and use it outside. I ended up paying a little bit more and buying a good manual cutter.
Well. It works. For the dollars it really is pretty good. Better than an angle grinder. It isnt perfect. The fence is tricky to get right, you get pretty wet, and the water reservoir needs to be refilled after every cut. There is still plenty of chipout. But i was getting much straighter cuts than the angle grinder and it was 3asier and faster. Its safer and there aren't clouds of dust to worry about breathing in.
