TS-435XeU Rackmount NAS with 4 bays, 2.5GbE/10GbE connectivity, and M.2 NVMe SSD caching. The compact and feature-rich TS-435XeU offers a professional quad-core NAS solution in a shallow rackmount form factor. Native 10GbE SFP+ and 2.5GbE connectivity, along with M.2 NVMe SSD slots for cache acceleration, enables businesses to efficiently handle everyday tasks such as file backup and recovery, while enhancing team collaboration through increased productivity. Thanks to its space-saving shallow design, the TS-435XeU can be easily installed in small media cabinets or in areas with many cables. The TS-435XeU supports numerous business applications, including file sharing and synchronization, snapshot protection, containerization, cloud storage gateways, and video streaming, with expandable storage capacity and install-on-demand applications, making it an ideal, cost-effective entry-level NAS for the rackmount class. Smaller footprint for greater possibilities. Compared to a traditional 4-bay rackmount NAS, the compact TS-435XeU has a depth of only 11.49 inches (292 mm). This makes the TS-435XeU an excellent choice for smaller racks, and the unused space can be reserved for cabling or ventilation.

Bought this a couple of weeks ago to hold a media library for convenient streaming to various display and playback devices within the house. Easy to install and setup, the drives I chose were generic SATA3 and not on the recommended list however presented no issues. The included rack rails were much longer than needed and I ended up installing on a shelf in a media style rack instead. Runs quiet, cool, and delivers solid performance.

Pros: build quality greatCons: software and all its apps is terrible, constantly emailing support as nothing works as it should... at this price its a massive Joke I wish I never bought it.

Great unit for a home rack with only 12 depth. I'd recommend rails though even if the unit is not that heavy. After an initial fan spinup very quiet, even if heavily used. It's in a closet in a family room and is not audible at all in the room.Using it with 10Gbit Fiber SFP and one of the integrated 2.5 Gbit interfaces.Great performance, 200MB/s write, 250MB/s read with NVMe M.2 SSD modules. Also great for security cameras, includes a license for up to 8 cameras. Running 6 cameras with ~20% CPU load.A few minor issues:- Could not get it running with Ethernet SFP modules (tried various), but rock solid with the fiber modules. But given that they consume less power/produce less heat anyway no real issue for me.- It would be nice if they included M.2 SSD ... MoreGreat unit for a home rack with only 12 depth.
