I purchased the QSC k12.2 speakers about a week ago. After testing my equipment to make sure that everything was in working order, I am pleased to say that I am extremely happy with this product. Although I have not used these speaker to max capacity yet (do to COVID), they have already met and exceeded expectations. the sound of this speaker is crisp and clear and the base has a warm feel and nice bottom. I like the fact that you can preset different EQ settings depending on if you're working with a subwoofer or not, small or large venue, etc. 2000-watt peak capacity for each individual speaker. I also feel that I don't hear as much microphone feed back compared to other products I have used but once again, I have not used them to max capacity yet. They are easier for me to carry and/or maneuver because they have handles on both top and sides and they seem to be a lighter weight compared to other products I have used. All in all, I am very satisfied with the product and would recommend these speakers to anyone looking for quality sound equipment. Can't wait to use them for my next DJ gig.

Yes yes yes!!! I secretly had my eyes on these for a very long time. But I simply could never afford it. When I finally came up with the financial plan to get them, I just couldn’t justify the purchase. So I settled…. Bad mistake. When I was able to get again a lot later down the road… they were out of stock. Nobody had them. I doubted that I would ever own a pair. Even though it seemed as if everyone else in the world had them. I happened to check AMS one day and THEY HAD THEM IN STOCK! Therefore I had to sacrifice a few things and got them. I am so happy that I did. They have added so much to my events. The sound is Like no other, with PLENTY of power. Preface: I have been a huge JBL fan for years and have used several of their EON series speakers.CONS: In comparison to the JBL EON612's...these speakers lack an additional handle on the right side of the speaker. This makes a huge difference when lifting them on to a tripod. Additionally, there is not set screw after mounting to a tripod, and the speakers can drift from left to right in a windy outdoor situation. These speakers are also slightly heavier than the JBL's. The sound is fuller and crisper, some of the highs sound a little harsh that could be corrected with EQ. The ABS plastic design makes me believe that these speakers will get scratched very easily, especially when used outside and being laid down on hard, paved surfaces. I first used this speaker with a mic running directly in to the speaker. I set it from LINE to MIC and had the volume cranked. Outside, the input was still not enough. I wouldn't recommend doing this and would certainly incorporate a mixer next time to add some gain.PROS: Much more power! These speakers have a great amount of power and I have yet been able to crank them up. The design seems decent and I'm glad they can be used as a PA speaker or a floor monitor. DSP - After getting the hang of it, I was easily able to navigate the DSP settings and adjust the presets to my liking. I love being able to set these up as a stage monitor with very little EQ adjustment. The two channel XLR inputs and 1/8 input makes the speaker versatile. The option of having a thru output or combined channel output is nice as well. I also like that fact that when pole mounted, you have two options with the option of angling the speaker down. You don't get this with JBL. I also like the locking IEC power cable. I always get nervous of some speakers where the IEC can be easily unplugged.I also purchased these with bags. The bags are comparable to that of a JBL bag, they have decent zippers and a side pocket. Good for preventing normal wear and tear.

I've been looking for a system to produce loud, fat electric keyboard sounds, especially on the acoustic piano settings. I have used several brand of amps for keys which are very good although they're generally designed for smaller spaces. 300 - 500 watts sounds adequate but playing with a loud outdoor rock band usually proves otherwise. Post Rona Lockup, I anticipate more outdoor venues which will require ample amounts of clean high volume, a challenge for keyboardists. FOH is an iffy proposition all the way around, but now with a K12.2 pair I won't be buried in the mix. A myriad of favorable reviews of the brand convinced me to give them a try and I am impressed by their strong sonic reproduction in a wide variety of voicings. They sure don't feel like 48 pounds ... MoreI've been looking for a system to produce loud, fat electric keyboard sounds, especially on the acoustic piano settings. They sure don't feel like 48 pounds and are readily portable. My 50 pounder amps felt much heavier. High quality gig bags included during a QSC production are a total bonus. The search for a solid live keys set up appears to be over. I expect these to be my final speaker configuration barring further product developments from QSC.
Purchased first in may then a second unit in 08/22. The second one works of and on, reset many time to get it to work now northing. Tried calling QSC support and tried to work with their suggestions (even updated) both units had current and most recent updates. QSC will repair under warranty but because of the delay in parts production (yes China) parts are hard to get and have faulty components(which complicates thing even more) . You want to get this retailer to help ? GOOD LUCK ! all you will get is a condescending email from some dropout behind a desk .For now I will fix these expensive(somewhat) boat anchors and attempt to dump them on some other fish . I am a mobile DJ, these are the cheapest speaker I own and it shows. Do NOT listen to others on this list when they say these sound great at high levels. They get very loud, no doubt about that, but they sound harsh and they do start to distort at these levels. I have videos on Youtube showing this. They sound okay for the price. For a couple hundred more you can certainly get better speakers. Now for the good: These are light and virtually indestructible. I have dropped these, had them in wet weather, heat, etc. They still look good and are tough as nails. Their inputs and user functions are the best out there.I just wish they sounded better, which is VERY important to me.
I have used the gen 1 k12s for yearsFinally upgraded to the k12.2Found out after more research and at a gig they will go into protection mode if signal from source is too high.QSC said do to the amount of repairs in the past this new protection mode will save the warranty department on the amount of repairs. Problem is I got half the volume out of the k12.2 as I did with the originals before they shut down and then had to be powered down and back on again. Keep in mind I have pro gear and have ran multiple k12s gen one the past 8 years and not one issue. Very disappointed and was a QSC fan but am looking into something new. Not to mention the price increase in the last two months nearly 500$ for the ks118 I will spend elsewhere unfortunately. Do Your research!
Being a sound engineer with more than 25 years of experience my purchase of the QSC K12.2 was the best investment of my life and I only bought only one because it was the last one in stock at BHP and I had to buy 5 more elsewhere to have three of the same pair. And thank goodness both speakers carry 14-digit serials from the latest revised and more recent versions with the more improved amp free from the many problems that plagued earlier versions. And lastly aftter two weeks of super heavy twst, all of my QSC K12.2's sound ten times as much better, with perfect flat sound response worthy of the most premium profesional studio monitor, much more balanced, much more refined than my brand new and twice as expensive newly purchased RFC-945A's even though they sound ... MoreBeing a sound engineer with more than 25 years of experience my purchase of the QSC K12.2 was the best investment of my life and I only bought only one because it was the last one in stock at BHP and I had to buy 5 more elsewhere to have three of the same pair. And thank goodness both speakers carry 14-digit serials from the latest revised and more recent versions with the more improved amp free from the many problems that plagued earlier versions. And lastly aftter two weeks of super heavy twst, all of my QSC K12.2's sound ten times as much better, with perfect flat sound response worthy of the most premium profesional studio monitor, much more balanced, much more refined than my brand new and twice as expensive newly purchased RFC-945A's even though they sound also fine and a bit more louder but with a much more colored sound and nothing to do with the delicacy and super more refined sound of my QSC K12.2's.In my personal opinion, after trying various subwoofer configurations from QSC, RFC and others, but the best experience I had was pairing my QSC K12.2 with 3 stacked pairs of Bose Sub 2's in a massive outdoor event with more than 1,500 peoples.
We must have waited for what seemed like forever to get our hands on one of these. Once it was back in stock we snatched one up.The sound is phenomenal. The build quality is phenomenal. The features are phenomenal. It has significant weight to it which makes it not feel cheap and plasticky. We were going to get a JBL until an acquaintance told us about QSC.We are soo glad we splurged on the 12 model because it will handle a number of different uses. Karaoke and DJ'ing for parties, Public Speaking, a monitor for musical performance and also streaming audio for entertainment. Its a beautiful speaker and feels sturdy and secure when held by the handles. The handles are also amazing. The whole thing was well thought out and brilliantly designed. It really is beautiful.
The great thing about these speaker is the ergonomics.Even though they may be heavier than your average 12 inch cans, they are by far easier to handle.Unfortunately, that's where the good ends. The speakers lose integrity after a few hours and the sound deteriorates. Updating the firmware doesn't help.Sound isn't rich no matter what setting you use and severly lacking in range.Coming from someone who has always used QSC products, this series is an embarrassment. I wish they still had the Original K series
