The QSC K8.2 is the new version of the popular original K8. Among many newly added features including on-board DSP, it also has a great floor monitor angle.

I'm not a DJ or musician, I just like the good sound when I hear the music that I like, I like to hear the music very loud with good highs and lows. I had mackie thump bst, harbinger VARI 4115 and they sound pretty good, but QSC K12.2 Sound awesomely awesome!! Someone could say I'm crazy spending a lot on qsc, but listen music with a very good sound is my drug, I don't drink, smoke o do any drugs, that's why I pamper myself with a very very good pair of speakers. I highly recommend QSC K12.2 to any person looking for a great pair of speakers, I have them pair with two 15 inch bass behringer and maaann! sound awesomely awesome.

I have been through 2 of these trying to use them with my Line 6 helix floor. The first one kept tripping "protect mode 4" which required me to play a test tone for the speaker to produce sound again. I tried everything including all presets, mic and line level inputs matched to helix outputs. At each configuration I ensured that the setup was proper. I have used the helix with other speakers, including headrush, Yamaha and EV. The k10.2 sounded great but would continually fail. I returned it and GC sent another, same issue again. This occurred at relatively low practice volumes playing mostly clean, no audio clipping from the helix and the gain on the k10.2 at 0. I'm extremely disappointed and could not recommend this product to anyone. I originally purchased in ... MoreI have been through 2 of these trying to use them with my Line 6 helix floor. I ended up returning it as I could not play it more than an hour before failure. Second one came from GC, same issue but this time I contacted QSC, did factory reset and reinstalled firmware. The issue persists. I will be returning this one as well and looking for another solution. To add insult to injury, this item has increased in price by $200, along with all comparable speakers, since I originally purchased. Therefore I can't get a similar product for anywhere near the price I originally paid for what appears to be a defective line of speakers. BEFORE YOU BUY, GOOGLE "K10.2 PROTECT MODE 4" Buyer beware, this is an unreliable sound reinforcement solution

I am a mobile DJ, these are the cheapest speaker I own and it shows. Do NOT listen to others on this list when they say these sound great at high levels. They get very loud, no doubt about that, but they sound harsh and they do start to distort at these levels. I have videos on Youtube showing this. They sound okay for the price. For a couple hundred more you can certainly get better speakers. Now for the good: These are light and virtually indestructible. I have dropped these, had them in wet weather, heat, etc. They still look good and are tough as nails. Their inputs and user functions are the best out there. I just wish they sounded better, which is VERY important to me.
Hello all, (5*/5*) I just want to say Thank you Guitar Center for finally delivering it from K.S. (Lenexa). I ordered it 3/08/22 and just received it today 10/05/22. I could not be happier! My anticipation was just all over the place. I love these and I would buy these speakers again and again in a heartbeat. The quality for both sound and built is outstanding, also very user friendly if you know what you are doing! The only cons are barely anything except that these each weigh in at 32bs, which in my opinion is nothing. Amazing gear! Also, the 6 years warranty is unbeatable, it's a must have! Thank you, Q.S.C.
So I bought my speaker ending of 2021. Had to remodel house shortly after purchase. Stored in another bedroom. Once done we installed the speaker turned on and protect mode 4. I took the speaker in to inner sound at the end of 3/2022. They stated they order an amplifier for the speaker which won't come in until 09/2022 or 10/2022. If you can deal without your speaker for 7 months or longer due to supply chain issues and shortages of parts. Look at other reviews from people. This issues is across all qsc k8.2 k10.2 and k12.2. Think twice before you purchase this speaker.
Quality: These speakers are extremely reliable. I always trust QSC. Value: I think so. I had the previous model, they lasted for 10 years and I used them constantly. I used them sometimes in rain, I used them in extreme heat for 10 hours at a time sometimes. These speakers are epic. Overall: These are epic. I had the previous 1,000W models of the K12 speakers and these are way better in a lot of aspects. The sound quality is better, these really pump. I don't need to put the gain knob anywhere near where it was on the previous model. I DJ for wedding and play piano for private events. I use these speakers for both. When I'm playing piano I only use one speaker. I connect the keyboard straight into the K12.2 via a 1/4" jack. It sounds amazing. I feel so secure using these speakers. I love the enhanced amount of options this has for changing the settings with the digital display. I also love their is a hi-z function on these speakers.
Being a sound engineer with more than 25 years of experience my purchase of the QSC K12.2 was the best investment of my life and I only bought only one because it was the last one in stock at BHP and I had to buy 5 more elsewhere to have three of the same pair. And thank goodness both speakers carry 14-digit serials from the latest revised and more recent versions with the more improved amp free from the many problems that plagued earlier versions. And lastly aftter two weeks of super heavy twst, all of my QSC K12.2's sound ten times as much better, with perfect flat sound response worthy of the most premium profesional studio monitor, much more balanced, much more refined than my brand new and twice as expensive newly purchased RFC-945A's even though they sound ... MoreBeing a sound engineer with more than 25 years of experience my purchase of the QSC K12.2 was the best investment of my life and I only bought only one because it was the last one in stock at BHP and I had to buy 5 more elsewhere to have three of the same pair. In my personal opinion, after trying various subwoofer configurations from QSC, RFC and others, but the best experience I had was pairing my QSC K12.2 with 3 stacked pairs of Bose Sub 2's in a massive outdoor event with more than 1,500 peoples.
We must have waited for what seemed like forever to get our hands on one of these. Once it was back in stock we snatched one up. The sound is phenomenal. The build quality is phenomenal. The features are phenomenal. It has significant weight to it which makes it not feel cheap and plasticky. We were going to get a JBL until an acquaintance told us about QSC. We are soo glad we splurged on the 12 model because it will handle a number of different uses. Karaoke and DJ'ing for parties, Public Speaking, a monitor for musical performance and also streaming audio for entertainment. Its a beautiful speaker and feels sturdy and secure when held by the handles. The handles are also amazing. The whole thing was well thought out and brilliantly designed. It really is beautiful.
The K10.2 bundle (with the flight case, soft bags, speaker stands, and XLR cables) is a great deal for those interested in a loud, high quality, feature-rich PA speaker system without compromise. Remember you're paying $$$ for the name QSC, not Behringer! I chose the 10 over the 12 to better pair with a single KS212C sub -- a future purchase -- to make for a tighter sound overall. You could argue that an 8 would be an even better pair, but I wanted a little more low end for smaller gigs where I didn't need a sub. I had considered the more expensive three-way speakers QSC KW153, but those were way outside my budget. I could see those being used in permanent venues or by audio enthusiasts with cash to burn. I had considered the more expensive three-way speakers QSC KW153, but those were way outside my budget. I could see those being used in permanent venues or by audio enthusiasts with cash to burn. I plan to use these speakers for wedding receptions, DJ gigs, and other events in the near future! My favorite music genres are jazz, country, and pop. It was definitely an upgrade and investment over my previous Alto TS315 speakers. I use a Yamaha MG10XUF mixer and mostly wired/wireless SM58 mics. Small things that I like about this bundle include: The QSC speakers have a cooling fan (some other speakers don't!), a 3.5mm aux input, and it's not excessively heavy. I enjoy the gain dials with notches to make the gain even for both speakers (rather than the dials with smooth, continuous turning). Drum cymbals / high end is clean and crisp, guitar, horn, and vocal mids are also well defined, the bass speaks clearly for a 10 (without being overbearing at softer levels), and the EQ functionality is okay to work with. For jazz or 90s country, I don't even need a sub. The soft bags have a hole for the handle so you can grab the top of the speaker and not the bag. The speaker stands are extremely light and feel cheap. I wish they were of a sturdier build, especially the main tightening screw. I will be investing in a sturdier/heavier pair. The flight case is tough and heavy with both speakers, definitely a two person load-in / load-out when possible. Also, I have yet to find a V-Lock IEC power cable that is longer than the provided 2m cable. It's been extremely hard finding a longer cable or extension cable that meets the same specs for the speakers' power cord: 18 gauge, 10A (min), 125V, 2000W (max). I called QSC about using a power strip instead, and the tech said to avoid using one as the speakers pull so much voltage/power, and that each speaker should be plugged into a different wall socket to protect the speaker and the circuit. Something to consider (especially when I was considering buying two QSC CP10 speakers instead, as they're rated at 1000W peak). Be sure to register that QSC extended warranty WITHIN 30 DAYS of buying the speakers! It gives you +6 years and an ease of mind if something mechanical were to fail. TLDR: The bundle and its price for all the parts is ultimately what sold me. I could have bought JBLs or EVs for much less and with Bluetooth / app connectivity, but I was after QSC. I am not disappointed (yet).
