I bought an iPhone 7 with a Zagg Glass Luxe screen protector (these are $45 and excellent) from ATT, my provider, in Nov 2016. In April, I bought the Quad Lock arm holder because I'm a runner. The case for the phone with the lock mechanism on the back caused my Zagg screen protector to lift in the corners. ATT replaced it for nothing as we both thought it was a problem with the protector, but the first time I put the Quad Lock case on again, I saw a corner begin to lift. There's no way I'm going to have an unprotected screen, so I'm out the cost of the Quad Lock. Perhaps I can sell it. I can't say if it is an otherwise good product as I only had the opportunity to try it out once before noticing the screen protector problem. Good, but room for improvement.

The case is amazing, honestly couldn't say I've used a better one. However, I've got a screen protector on too, and this time round (didn't happen with the iPhone 6), the case is so snug that it forces the screen protector off. Unless I use a toothpick to pry the edges over. This isn't an issue, but when it's knocked in my pocket. I need to pry the edges around again, and I don't always carry toothpick like objects around with me. If this was the 80's and I was a college bad-boy. It wouldn't be an issue. Buts it not the 80's and I'm not a college bad-boy with spare toothpicks and a nonchalant attitude that makes the girls swoon. Please provide toothpicks or less snug sides.

Good, with room for improvement

It's a good case! Protective and still uses the belt clip with is slowly going away (I hate holsters). To make this survey worthwhile, I'd only point out two points that could be improved upon-- 1) the camera hole, just like on the iPhone 6 case, is a little too high by a few millimeters. 2) Also, although the quadlock is secure (yay!) once its locked into place, it's a bit difficult to do. I have to fumble with it and work with it sometimes to get it to attach and snap to my belt clip. I feel like it could have been designed with some sort of a angle or glide to help it reach its home position more easily.Bonus; I think the clip is a little unnecessarily expensive too.

Great product but farcical 'free' ship deal
2 October 2017

Hi,Quadlock has been great gear - been with them since the Kickstart. One galling issue - 'free' shipping if an order is over $35. I've bought a couple of iPhone 5 cases (one locking compartment came adrift from the case) and recently an iPhone 8 case. Cases cost $34.95 but shipping is free if over $35. Nice ploy to set the free shipping 5c above the price of a case. I'd say - ok, they need to cover shipping this thing to me' but I live in Melbourne and had to pay shipping of $7.75 (in Oct 2016) or 22% of the total price and now $10.63 (in Sep 2017) or 30% of the total price is *really* poor. If I had an option, I'd go elsewhere but have other Quadlock gear (car mount, bike mount) which has me roped in. I'll be on the lookout for something more reasonable if this ... MoreHi,Quadlock has been great gear - been with them since the Kickstart. One galling issue - 'free' shipping if an order is over $35. Just what I wanted
18 November 2017

First, I got the Quad Lock case for my new iPhone 8 to see how I liked it. Compared to the case that comes in the package deal for my iPhone, it's a little bit thicker, but still fits into my front pants pocket nicely. It is incompatible with the wireless charger, but since that charger is very slow and very picky about just how the phone is positioned on it, I don't find this much of a disadvantage; how hard is it to just plug it in at night? On the positive side, the buttons are easier to press on the Quad Lock case.Having decided I could use the case, then I got a bike mount and a car mount from Quad Lock. I love them both! They are secure and can be positioned where I need them. A well engineered product.

Not up to par
26 October 2016

The quad lock system is great. This is my second case and I have mounts for my car and motorcycle. Unfortunately, however, the case for the iPhone does not seem up to quad lock's typical high standard. The case functions fine. But, the fitment is a bit off. The cut outs for the speaker/microphone don't line up quite right -- the two holes closest to the lighting port are slightly covered -- and the camera lense is not centered in its cutout either. These are not major flaws and do not affect the function of the case, but the quality of the design/manufacturing is disappointing.

Be careful when you ask for reviews. May want to word it in a way someone can just delete. Anyway, I like my Quad lock, reason being that I had to buy another one because of a product longevity design, meaning for anyone else whom might not get it - there is built in obselesence. It is just a mater of time before it breaks and you are betting someone is not going to have their phone long enough for it to break, or that was not even considered. That said, since I have extensively bought into the product line you should consider - longevity, helmet mount, floating recording handle mount and others. People leasing phones or paying them off over time may backfire and people are gong to rebel and back off updating so rapidly. Robust, adaptable and perfect for motorcycling!

I first bought a Quadlock system a couple of years ago for my iPhone 6. Up until then I had always used Lifeproof cases for my iPhones. The Quadlock, is lighter, less bulky, and while you can’t go swimming with it on, provides a good level of all round protection. On a two thousand mile ride through France, over the Pyrenees and back up through Spain last year I used one of the self adhesive mounts on the back of my Lifeproof case as I wasn’t sure of the weather i would encounter. The mount stayed rock solid on the back of the case and was easy to remove from the Quadlock mount on the front of my bike (which I probably did twenty times a day).My only criticism is of the Poncho which is nowhere near as responsive for the touchscreen as the Lifeproof but has ... MoreI first bought a Quadlock system a couple of years ago for my iPhone 6. Currently I am using the Quadlock with Poncho for everyday use, but if I was on a motorcycle without a decent fairing and windscreen, I would probably opt for the Quadlock mount and the Lifeproof Fré cover to maximise protection. For running, cycling and non-watersport activities however… for me the Quadlock is supreme. Thanks for a great product! Mike Lawrence, Bournemouth Bikes Ltd.

iPh 7 QL case very slight improvement over my last iPh 5s case, but wanting
7 November 2016

Pros:-Case works with quad-lock gear which is the big attraction to this case.-They added a foam pad inside the case. I think this is to prevent particles pitting and scratching the back of your phone if they get into the case since scratching and pitting occurred when I used QL iPh 5s case.-Already dropped the phone one time and the case did its job, no breakage!-Comfortable to useCons:-Case is matte black and kind of boring, but at least utilitarian.-The felt/foam in back of case might be protective but now that it got a few particles and dust on it its more difficult to clean it than it is to clean the rim of the case.-I have iPh7 jet black. The outer surface definitely "shows scratches" more than other types of iPhones. Used the iPh7 for over a month w/out significant scratching, but after QL case (taking in and out) there are fuzzy scratches at all the points where the case RIM touches the phone.- Therefore the case seems to be scratching phone every time popped in or out. Its unlikely other cases on the market would be have differently, but this still is a sucky thing about cases to use w/ iPh7 jet black.

it was a let down
29 August 2016

i think i posted this review in the wrong place. but basically i was hoping after reading that the case was redesigned that it was better than the original. I bought this for the 5SE, but apparently they did nothing but slap a new label on it. the inside is not signed, the buttons are very difficult to press especially the volume up/down.to top it off, the return policy indicates that the unit must be unused to return it. i ask myself how can you decide if it works as expected if you don't use it?i have the one for the 6S and it is indeed a great case, i expected that the 5SE to be of the same quality not just a greedy attempt to reuse old cases.
