I granted the Quest Cookie Dough flavor at a gas station where it was the only flavor they had and I needed a protein bar. The flavor was not great; not terrible, but it didn’t make me think of cookie dough. A little bland. It did have chocolate chip pieces in it, but those were a little flavorless too. The texture was the typical Quest squishy, chewy texture. It did its job of filling me up when I needed a protein meal, but I wouldn’t get this flavor again.

I love the quest brand, but these bars are not it. The calories and nutrition info is fine, 190 cals amd 20g of protein. Thats great, love that! But the consistency of this flavor bar is so strange and it's a texture issue for me. It's a little hard and once you bite into it it gets chewy. It takes me a long time to get these down. I microwaved it once for 20 seconds in hopes of softening it up, and it actually was way better and it smelled like fresh cookies. I bought a bunch of these to keep at work for a snack or in my purse to have for whatever reason, they were on sale. I would not buy this particular flavor again, the blueberry ones get the same texture complaint from me, but the flavor is 100x better!

I have gestational diabetes and had to go on a strict low carb diet. My numbers were good but I struggled to get my fasting blood sugar down. They told me to eat a high protein snack before bed. I tried lots of snack some worked for a little some didn't my fasting sugars would range from 93-100. If I could not stay under 95 I would have so start insulin injections. But once I tried the quest chocolate peanut butter as my snack bet for bed my fasting sugars became 83-88 which is amazing. I was able to go the rest of the pregnancy with out the threat of injecting insulin and for the I am super grateful.

I have been buying these bars for many years. The company recently substituted the prebiotic fiber with soluable corn fiber, which is known for causing diarreha and other gastrointestinal problems. It happened to my 89 yr old mother. After about a month & a half of her having bowel issues in the morning we figured out it was the new ingredients. Once she stopped eating the bars, her bowel problems cleared up. BAD substitution!

Quest recently changed the recipe - and the new recipe is pretty bad. This was my absolute favorite of the Quest bars because the old recipe really tasted like a blueberry muffin - 5 stars for the old recipe! The new recipe tastes very unnatural - and they seem to have eliminated the "muffin"-tasting bits. Overall, it is over-sweet and unnatural tasting. It no longer tastes like a blueberry muffin. I have attached a picture showing the old vs. new bars so you can tell them apart. The new bar is on the bottom - note that it has 20g protein, not 21g. Also note that the picture of the product that Quest shows on this page is still the old recipe.
This used to be one of my favorite flavors. It actually tasted like blueberry and had a decently firm texture. Now it has no particular flavor; it's just nauseously sweet. The texture is horrible - gummy, almost undercooked-like. Much of the product just sticks to the wrapper. I'm desperately hoping that I just got an off batch. I'm going to try one more box; if it's the same gooey slop I'm stopping my subscription.
The package is good. The size of the bar normal.I bought it because I want to cover my protein need in my diet since i do workout and doing strength training. I though it will benefit me to eat tasty and fast protein source, plus that I love chocolate. But from the pic on the package I thought it’s cookies and I was very disappointed when I found it’s like a paste texture bar with some chocolate pieces. The taste is horrible. It doesn’t taste like chocolate at all so I bought it at 2021 and I still have it till today
I love the S'mores One Bar but this one has it beat! Soft nougat-y texture (reminded me of the Barebells bar nougat centers) with large chocolate chunks and pieces of gluten free graham crackers. I was suprised to see actual chunks of stuff in there. Most protein bars just have the "flavor" and not actual mix-ins. I've tried a lot of protein bars and this is definitely the tastiest. Also genuinely satisfying. The calorie count is low enough that it can be just a snack to satisfy a sweet craving.
