I currently own one of the Fjallraven winter coats and wanted something lighter for the fall. This coat was exactly what i was looking for! It's wind resistant, water resistant, fits great and looks great. I highly recommend their products, worth the cost.

The Frost Green is much more of a dusty colour than what is pictured (more like the Dusk colour, but in a blue-green). The colour on the website is really what I fell in love with, so I'm pretty disappointed. Before buying, did a Google image search and the images in this colour were so different I didn't even realize they were the same jacket! The other issue is with the hood: when tucked in, it creates a kind of bulkiness in the neck (like a little pool noodle is in there) and because it's a different fabric, it's not the kind of thing you want to leave untucked. I ordered a size down (XXS) and it fits a little tight in the hips and quite tight in the neck (thanks to the hood), so I wouldn't necessarily recommend sizing down.

Unlined, and the fit is huge. I’m 5’6”, almost always a size M and don’t typically run into problems with sleeve length, but the sleeves on this jacket covered all but the tips of my fingers. The fit of the body is very roomy. Seems to be nicely made, but not worth the price in my opinion.

First, this jacket looks 1000% better in person than on the model. The jacket is made from G-1000 Eco in Organic Cotton + Recycled Polyester. I got the Sand (beige khaki) M, versatile from 120-180 lbs, 5'2-5'10, jeans to dresses. Yes, everybody likes to look and try it; beach, marina and city. It's a 3+ season booty skimmer at 28", a short anorak field jacket, perfect for days that may shine or sprinkle indefinitely. It's unlined but smooth, crisp but soft and figure defining with the waist cinched. It's easy to layer under and generous enough for us curvy tops. The interior waist cinch and zip stowed hood are snugged by classic shoestring pulls. The interior zip pocket is wide enough for a passport book, tall enough for the S7 or i6. The hip pockets have hand warmer side entries underneath. The sleeves are roomy but not bulky. The cuffs can be snugly secured with the snap tab or rolled up for truffle hunts or farmer's market. The two-way full length zipper is covered by the snap flap. Its field bronze snaps are sturdy and logo embossed. My jacket has proven great for casual sailing, gathering at the beach, dog walking, scootering, equining, campfiring, hiking (plus or sans pack) or hunting for whatever, especially with the available by maker 6cm (+/- 2.5") wide Fjallraven Equipment leather Belt to attach tools, kits, catch and leash. I also got the Fjallraven Vik sweater here, which is sturdy yet attractive, light and breathable. Sweet and pill free after 2 days fast packing soggy and overgrown local trails hunting winter wildfoods. The durable, VERY WATER REPELLENT qualities of the 'G-1000 Eco' can be enhanced with the Fjallraven Greenland wax. The instructions are inside the jacket and on YouTube. More wax = more wind and rain resistance. Less wax = more summer breathability. You can also make your own coating with beeswax, raw linseed/flaxseed oil, + or - paraffin. The missing star is for missing product data (OK, + the shoestring cinch for waist and hood which is also sans visor). Wish Nord's carried the Sarek Trekking jacket, a little longer with better pockets and hood. The only jacket I like better is the Aigle Brokfielde.
I am 5'6" and 135 pounds and decided to order the size Small. Without a sweater underneath the Raven coat looks big, but once I put a wool sweater underneath it looked and felt fine. The drawstrings at the waist helps to give it some shape but bear in mind it a "boxy" fit. I like all the pockets as it lets you go out for a short walk without the need to carry a purse. It is very well made with good details. I did not keep this coat because the colour is Rust and not Deep Red. I am giving 4 stars because of the colour and not the style/quality. I tried to like it but I didn't so I will return it and wait for Altitude to get more stock and colours in this season.
This jacket is great. I ordered online and didnt have a chance to try it on first. Super happy with it. It runs big for sure. I didnt notice it comes in an xxs. I wear a medium but when I see xxs available that usually means to get a small instead of medium. Sleeves are really long, but you can snap the wrist tighter to shorten them. Tightening the waist helps it look more fitted and I think I'll appreciate the extra room for a hoodie when it gets colder. Really its awesome.
This coat is a well-made, light-weight and has a nice fit. I'm 5'51/2 and weigh 132 lbs and the XS fits perfectly. I ordered it in the red which turned out to be more a rust than red but it's still a nice colour. If you're looking to wear layers underneath it, a medium sweater will be fine but anything thicker may mean you want to order a size up.
The quality of Fjallraven products does not disappoint, and this jacket is no exception. The different pockets and structure really adds to the style of the jacket, and I have had at least one person ask where I got the jacket each time I have worn it. I found it to be true to size (ordered a small and am a small in most brands) with room for layering and a comfortable, loose fit.
I received the jacket and looked forward to wearing the garment for rainy weather. I had tried a different design that was too tight and binding across the shoulders. This one was more comfortable that way, but was tight on front. I liked the color a lot, but sent it back due to the poor fit. Boo!
So - this is a really nice quality jacket but I was disappointed. I went by the sizing chart and it is pretty BIG. I feel I could have easily got an XXS and I got a S. With that in mind it's pretty boxy and not all that "flattering" - but I did synch (sp?) the waist in a bit and it helps. This is a really stiff material also - so I tried to loosen it up a bit by running it through the wash as soon as I got it.Last but not least, the colour shown on the website is not even close to the real one. The website is a lot more deep and vibrant, it's actually quite a light colour that I would not call "forest green" I would say "sea green" maybe.I still am giving is three stars because I know it will get softer the more I wear it, and it's a well made and useful jacket. ... The fact that it's a bit big also means I can wear a big sweater underneath without any issues.SIZE DOWN thought, unless you like really loose/boxy fitting jackets.
