The lightweight material these pants are made is a hiker's dream! I am so sad the cut of the pants does not work for me. To begin with, I was looking for a slim fit pant and while the pant legs on the models look very slim, in reality they are quite a bit baggier. What truly made me decide to return these pants though was the droopy crotch. Extra material rubbing between your legs on a long hike is the last thing anyone needs. If they just redesigned the cut to be more how they appear on the models they would be amazing backcountry pants.

I did not expect an extra small to be this baggy on me. It fits like a size 4, which is a very relaxed look on me. There is plenty of room for a person with bulky thighs. Also, the inseam is so high in the back that it awkwardly stilts above the smallest point of my waist. I bought this for a thigh zip pocket accessible during climbing. The pocket is large enough for my phone, but the angle of the zipper is inconvenient with a harness. The fabric seems nice. I don't think I'll buy Rab again if their smallest size is this large.

I finally found a pair of hiking pants that are stylish, functional, and I can wear them on the trail or even to dinner. I am traveling to Scotland this summer for hiking and I want a light weight pant that I can also wear on trails and out to dinner or in the city. These are the pants! I found them true to size, I'm 5'7", 135 lbs and wear a M. I'm ordering second color. One will be for backpack trips (i.e. mud, rips, etc) and the other will be for everything else. I think I'll be wearing these a lot this spring. Thanks Rob!

I like the weight and length of these trousers, at 5 foot 10, I had to get the long leg. Very comfortable and easy to move in.What I dislike, is that they don't hold their shape or size once worn for a couple of hours. I got a size 14, but after wearing them for a bit, they feel more like a 16 sadly, they start to bag and are very loose on me. to late to send them back unfortunately, a lot of money for trousers I has to wash regularly to retain some sort of size 14.
I liked the style, although despite dropping a size from my normal they were still a bit too big around the waist. But they are so short, even though they say they are the same length as Rab trousers I bought last year. And they still have the essential thigh pocket at the front instead of at the side so you can't bend your leg if anything is in it!!!!! Sent them back. There are no longer ones in my size.
These pants will be a replacement for my old hiking pants that I wear to protect from flies and sun. I wanted a pant with belt loops so I could attach bear spray, a zipper pocket and tight or with elastic around the ankles to keep bugs out. These pants have those features and work well. What surprised and disappointed me was that the fabric is not mosquito proof as my old pants are. Also the snaps on the fly are very difficult to do up.
Overall like these pants! The material seems durable for scrambling but only time will tell. The fit is a little off for me. I am normally a size 4 and the small was way too big and short for me (I am 130 lb and 5'8" thinner build). Then I ordered the XS long and it is better fit but still kind of short - the waist is a little tighter but they do stretch out with use. I would recommend ordering down a size unless you are on the higher end of the range or a thicker build.
Very comfortable pair of trousers, allowing easy movement. Well made and look relatively smart. So comfy I wear them for shopping etc. A little big round the waist, but that’s always my problem. Good fit on the hips.
Has somebody mixed up the male and female cut? I order 14 and on arrival found them way too big around the waist. This is odd as a bit of a chunky monkey I usually find the waist a little on the neat side. When I examined the cut I noticed that the measurements for the hips and the waist are identical. They have been cut in a straight line. Is this fault with my pair or are they all cut the same?
Very comfortable. Waist a little big. Bought the uk08 or US XS.Drawstring leg makes it difficult to hem without losing that feature. Snaps at waist very hard to do up.Lightweight so perfect for warm day.
