I bought this jacket early spring so I have yet to put it through the wringer but so far so good. I am 5'4" weight ~120lbs, athletic build (no hips) and size Small fits great. It feels snug, but when I stretch and move all different directions my range of motion is not compromised; it is almost like the seems pulled themselves out to let me do what I wanted, and then went back into place so I could look sleek again. Amazing. I have only worn it for walking the dog in the morning and at the top of a climb where it was windy. So far it has been very warm ( down to 30 F) with just a t shirt underneath. In light sprinkles it beads the water nicely. I have noticed a few floating feathers and it could pack a little smaller, but these things are minor right now.As far as ... I bought this jacket to use on my JMT thru hike for this summer. It's very light and seems to be much more sturdy than other light down jackets I looked into buying. It's rated very high on outdoor gear lab and that's why I ultimately ended up buying it. I haven't hiked with it yet but will report back when I do. I am 5'5 about 130 lbs with a slim figure and went with a medium beacuse I have long arms. The jacket is roomy enough for layers and has plenty of arm length (I probably could have gone with the small). I love the chest pocket a feather I didn't see on any other down jacket and the wire in the hood is also very cool. As a first impression this jacket is awesome!

I am absolutely thrilled with my coat! I suffer with hypothermia problems in the winter and cannot believe this is the first coat I can actually wear out and maintain my temperature! Excellent quality, large useful pockets, easy zipper and length fantastic and so light in weight! Overall a fantastic product and excellent service!

I bought this jacket for a trip to Chile and so far it’s been perfect. It packs into a small space using the stuff bag and kept the wind & cold out when we walked around the highest geyser field in the world. The hood has a useful stiff cap, which bent back into shape after being folded in the stuff bag and was useful for keeping the sun off my face.
I just love it. Have been wearing my sons old rab jacket and decided it was time to get my own jacket. It feels lovely, light and cosy with useful deep pockets. Packs up small in its own bag for travel. I caught the sleeve on a bramble but it didn’t catch on the material. Don’t think I will be climbing any mountains but great for my daily dog walks. Thank you. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time. Well worth the money.
It’s a fab jacket but unfortunately I am unable to wear it as I have fractured my wrist and I can’t get the cast through the narrow cuff!I can wear the fab gillet though!Perfect body warmer to wear with the cast.

I LOVE my new jacket. I ordered 5 different down jackets to try on and this was my favorite. It is not as light as some of the others, but the length is what sold me. Not only does the jacket come down over my hips but the sleeves are long as well keeping my arms and wrists warm. It is super warm and perfect for our Juneau rainy weather. A great feature is the stiff brim that keeps water out of your face in the rain. Love the jacket and was really impressed how quickly it shipped at the way to Alaska. Great buy for an awesome jacket!

The fit is absolutely perfect: the hood fits over my helmet, neither jacket nor sleeves ride up when I raise my arms, it doesn't pull across my upper chest when zipped up like all the jackets I tried on, it's long enough to cover waistbands properly during movement, and there's room for layers to go under it without being too bulky for a rain jacket to go over it. It'll be a while before I'm in cold enough conditions to test warmth properly, but this superb fit definitely keeps warm air in. With both fabric and down recycled it meets my ethical requirements and the purple colour, while not my first choice (I don't ... don’t be put off by the price, after my first Rab jacket wore out, i brought several cheaper alternatives and wasted the equivalent amount of money. i should have just stopped trying to find a similar product for less. They don't exist for a good reason!. so i have now brought my second Rab jacket and remembered why they are a bigger and better investment.
