The Radial Engineering USB-Pro is a stereo USB laptop DI offering high-resolution conversion and an easy plug-and-play solution for connecting a Mac or Windows computer to a PA system or mixing console. Plus, its integrated headphone amplifier allows convenient signal monitoring at the DI. The USB-Pro features two balanced XLR 3-pin outputs, which can feed mic- or line-level inputs thanks to the unit's handy level control. The auto-sensing USB input automatically configures the USB-Pro for digital input streams up to 24-bit / 96 kHz resolution. Since the USB-Pro is bus powered via USB, it requires no batteries, phantom power, or bulky power adapters. Engage the mono switch to check for phasing, reduce the channel count on your mixer, or facilitate signal duplication to the two XLR outputs. Should hum or buzz caused by ground loops be encountered, the side-panel switches let you insert isolation transformers into the signal path. To further reduce susceptibility to noise, this is augmented with a ground-lift switch that lifts pin 1 on the XLR outputs. Rugged 14-gauge steel construction along with Radial's bookend design ensure road-worthy reliability while the no-slip pad provides mechanical and electrical isolation.

I was looking for a simple and fast way to take virtual instruments on a laptop triggered from a Nord keyboard and go straight to my QSC speakers. Having this set up at home, now I'll take it on the road and really cut down on carrying extra gear for sounds called for by some orchestra gigs I play. I have several other Radial devices and they are built like tanks and are of serious good quality. When I saw this, I knew I was done looking. Sure, their products are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Love this box! truely plug and play! it just works. Construction is very good quality, you can tell by the weight of the box! Our church is using this for a computer that we run powerpoints and videos from and we always got loud buzzing from our lights when they were dimmed, this box took care of that and sounds great. This is the first radial box we bought and it surley isnt gonna be our last!

Love the gain control on the box itself. Would love to see it updated to usb c and still keep the usb b option.

This DI is brilliant for a range of applications, including DJ's, theatre audio and performance audio from any laptop or computer. It removes the need to use the audio out mini jack on a soundcard which often is damaged or loose. Also if a computer has a rubbish soundcard with low quality audio (pretty common on cheaper laptops) it bypasses that. Plug and play - no drivers needed. Not cheap but it worth it!!
We are a small production co. and now use radial DIs exclusively. Haven't had a problem with a hum or buzz since the switch. The USB Pro in my opinion is the best interface for playback of computer tracks with excellent sound quality. Not to mention Radial is the most rider requested. The Pro musos know
Connected a portable PA system via the XLR.Super easy - shows up as a speaker output without any setup. The mono button worked great for our single speaker. Sound was clean and we could utilize the full power of the PA without quality issues.
If you’ve ever had issues with using a headphone amp (out) from your device for push to your PA, this fixes your issue. Great stereo sound with clear signal. Perfect for lower volume videos.
I used it on stage for running tracks on Ableton. And I also use it for my keyboard rig.
Great way to get a clean crisp stereo sound out of your laptop and not worry about 1/8 inch chords and the sometimes ginger headphone port on laptops. This purple box is built like a tank. I wish radial would make a thunderblot version.
The Radial USB Pro is a pretty good product. I haven't really put it through its paces, but have used it 2 times at gigs. Works well with a Macbook Pro, had no issues with noise, but they do have a few controls to reduce any noise over channels (read the manual). Does what it's supposed to do, simple and robust product.
