I don’t currently have this one in my rotation but this was my first “grownup perfume” as a teen. To me it’s just a classic scent that I fell in love with immediately and couldn’t wait to wear. The floral notes of rose are complimented by chamomile and lily. The under notes of citrus and a woody musk are the perfect balance! It lasts for hours as it’s an EDP so you’ll absolutely get compliments throughout the day and I feel the EDPs are just a better investment and worth the money. It’s a very feminine scent without being overpowering. It’s subtle enough for the office but is also a great choice for date night.

I really loved this when I was a teenager. I bought it recently and I don't know if it was just that I had my nose wasn't as sensitive when I was younger or they reformulated, but this is way too strong for me. Just two sprays and I got a massive headache. It's so much more tolerable the next day, which is crazy for a scent to last that long on a piece of paper and on my sweater. The projection is also great. I could smell it in the entire room from that small amount alone. It smells clean, powdery and softly floral which I do love but there's just something in there that I cannot tolerate. I wish it didn't give me a headache since everything else about this fragrance was exactly what I was looking for.

Overall not a bad fragrance, it’s crispy with a lot of flower notes. Great for every day. It actually very suits to Ralph Lauren name (imagine horses, cowboy hats, white button up and blue jeans). It is not overpowering, you won’t be bothering people around you. It definitely won’t do all day. It is very unrecognizable, it is no Hermes, no Chanel no.5, no Dior Jadore etc. It also doesn’t smell like luxury but not like a cheap perfume either. The $65 for 1 oz sounds just about right. I rarely get perfumes under $100 for this reason. You will just “smell nice” but is it a soap, lotion or a perfume, nobody can tell. I need a little more from my perfume.

I received a sample of this beautiful scent in a Macy's box. Generally, I'm very picky when it comes to perfume and only like a few scents and usually not floral scents. Upon trying this scent, I fell in love immediately! It has a woodsy rose smell,with a hint of citrus, that's not overwhelming of rose like some perfumes with rose scent. It's not intense and overpowering it's a beautiful blend that lasts a long time and can be worn for any occasion. I'm absolutely head over heels for Ralph Lauren's Romance and will be purchasing the full size. 🩷

Romance by Ralph Lauren is feminine, clean and fresh. The very romantic top notes of jasmine, rose, mandarin and pink peppercorn dissipates to a beautiful sensual musky, woody but light powdery bottom base. It’s the perfect balance of warm and spicy, but light and floral. This perfume is wearable anytime - office/ dates. It would make a great gift for your special classy lady. The eau de parfum lasts for hours. This classic fragrance from RL was launched in 1998 and is still timeless as is the traditional clear square atomizer.

I first bought it when it had just come out and loved it so much. Recently, I bought a smaller bottle. The scent smelled slightly different, which I was OK with, but the staying power is just not there! I noticed at the bottom of the bottle that it is distributed by a NY company that appears to be packaging perfumes for loreal, etc. So the new one isn't fake, but something has definitely changed. Disappointed , doesn’t last a good hour even .

I bought this as a gift for my wife on our 25 th wedding anniversary and I was disappointed all around from the fragrance not lasting even for a good hour after my wife uses it .It was my first order from Ralph Lauren fragrance website and I was promised a hat and a sample perfume which didn’t come with the order but it showed when I hit the order button . When I reached out to support they said it was because I was given a 10% welcome discount that I did not receive the gifts with the order once you spend over $125 . I replied that this was not stated and to me it’s false advertising or information. I was excited to keep ordering more items but after this first experience I don’t think I’ll be shopping on their website.

Review

It was very stressful ordering my package. It charged me an extra dollar, took DAYS to process then put the money back in my account. Then took the money again plus an extra dollar. Made my bank turn off my card because of them drawing the money back out. Also sent me two types of receipts so at this point I didn’t even know what I was paying. To add on for spending $100+ you’d think the packaging would be nicer and maybe come with bubble wrap. There was nothing to make the perfume not break, it was just the perfume in a box, getting shaken around.

Scent that lasts all day long

The scent isn't my absolute favorite, but it is a nice smell. It's a very fresh scent (I usually go for something more sweet or sensual). The thing I really love about this perfume though is that it lasts all day long. I washed up & dressed in the morning and put a few squirts on my wrists and neck. I could literally still smell it until that night when I was getting ready for my shower. I've never had a perfume last that long. I'd definitely try another Ralph Lauren perfume but probably wouldn't buy this one again. I'd recommend for anyone who loves a fresh clean scent.
