Don't understand why others find these hard to install. Slow, turns, firm pressure against wall, and it penetrates fine. Works well.

I have used the Ramset wallmate throughout my apartment from hanging pictures to mounting the Dyson vacuum. The instructions are a bit misleading for the uninitiated. I find it easier to pre-drill a hole then hand screw in the wallmate. Virtually impossible to get into the wall without a starter hole.

The "drill" point has no chance against gyprock - went completely blunt after a few turns of the screwdriver without even scratching the paint. Pre-drilled a hole large enough to clear the screw root and had the same problem again - the screw thread just couldnt cut into the wall. I dont know if I have some sort of extremely hard paint/gyprock, but these things didnt have a chance. Changed to a plug anchor which worked fine.
