Complete controller. Super high torque, more than my 1200's. Great feel. Took awhile to get used to the cue button coming from a MCX8000 and a Roland 707m. Love the filter and the ability to give each channel 3 or a total of 6 between the 2 decks. Overall, best controller I have used. My only gripe is that the master volume doesn't control the master volume in Serato which is why I think some of the reviews about the soundcard not being loud enough. Map them together and that solves that issue.

Coming from someone who’s been using turntables and a mixer my entire career DJing, I was skeptical about using a controller. But this suits all my needs, being mostly a scratch DJ! The motorized wheels are smooth and responsive, the fader is amazing and sharp and this has all the features I could want! Definitely one of the best investments I made into my craft! My only issue is the tightness of the channel faders, but considering all the features you get with this controller, that’s a small issue to me. You’ll definitely enjoy using this and the learning curve is simple! Great buy!

So much to say about this controller!!Pros: Amazing tactile platters, High quality cross-fader, Excellent build quality and expansive connectivity!Cons: 2 channel mixer. After a few weeks of use, I was amazed by the Rane One. It offers the best of controllers And a pair of turntables and mixer. It is similar to the NS7 But more portable in modern pad features. Speaking of bad features, Once you start usingThe scratch bank mode you will wonder how you did without it before. The build quality is incredible and half the price of the Rane 12s and Rane 70 mixer. My only gripe is the fill of the scroll load knobs. Overall I’m very happy with the Rane One.Dj lost one

Are the spinning platters a gimmick, maybe but I love them

hello,I am still getting used to this but so far I am loving this controller. I sold my decks and all my vinyl a few months ago, as vinyl was costing way too much money and new stuff, represses, is taking months and months to come out. This controller does everything you want and more, the platters are big and you do get a vinyl feel. Are the spinning platters a gimmick, maybe but I love them, are they worth the extra cost, hell, yes.I can't scratch but have fun trying, seen some great videos so it can do it well, I just can't do it. All in all this a great controller, it costs a lot, but I don't think you will ever need to upgrade ever again. DJ Kit sold this at a great price and got it deliver super fast and in prefect nick, so thank you!!

Coming from turntables, the Rane one is AWESOME!
8 November 2021

I am a turntable DJ (20+yrs) but was needing a controller for mobile gigs with smaller setup spaces. After buying another brand a few years ago, it "did the job" but it definitely was not something i enjoyed playing on. I got the rane one and within 15 min i was right at home on it. With a few minor tweaks (better slipmats/butter rugs) I can say this feels as close to turntables as you are going to get in a smaller setup. The unit is on the heavier side (a rane one in a pro-x flight case is 65lbs) but if you are used to using turntables, its not that bad at all (DEF no where near the weight of a loaded coffin). Its not as efx heavy as some of the current controllers out there, BUT it has all the things I personally (and probably most turntable djs out there) need to ... MoreI am a turntable DJ (20+yrs) but was needing a controller for mobile gigs with smaller setup spaces. Great controller but crossfader curve knob too loose.
16 February 2023

The Rane One is an excellent controller. Motorized platters are a plus! Pads are super responsive. Excellent crossfader, but the crossfader curve knob is quite loose and sometimes turns on its own with vibration from heavy crossfader usage or if your headphone cable touches the knob.

Okay, let's go back to basics?

The closest thing to turntables I have used. Denon are making strides with the SC6000m but two of those plus mixer will cost three times the price! It's built like a brick s##t house and has some weight to it, though nowhere near as much as two 1210s.The crossfader is pure butter ((gasp!) I tightened the tention on mine! (Easily done)), coming from an old school background I smash it around a lot... This one seems to say "thank you", rather than groan in pain.Only thing to mention is, coming from Traktor and using Serato is easy, however, Serato needs to be more accurate on track analysis, I have to adjust beat grids on around 90% of all music. Works with Virtual DJ, however, you need to either subscribe or pay around £170... Come on VDJ, let's see some discount ... MoreThe closest thing to turntables I have used. Only owned for a few weeks but love it.

This is my first foray into digital DJing. Compact setup in a limited space environment, such a smaller footprint than my turntables and mixer. Spinning platters tactile response and usage take some adjustment but work in a manner similar to spinning vinyl. Very cool and happy with my purchase.

If Technics made a competitor to this, Only at that point would I consider moving onward.Manufacturer Support:Rane is Rane. I have never had any issues with them. (knock on wood)The Wow Factor:Having the ability to have such a portable device that gives me full ability to showcase my talent without boundaries is a dream come true. I was hesitant to start doing mobile gigs due to my hatred for controllers and loyalty to "wheels". Lugging around 1200's and mixer in a coffin and then bringing it back home a setting it back up became too much of a headache. That feeling is now gone.Overall:So, I am a turntable whisper... One that has been spinning for mostly all of my life. From Kenwood straight arms of the 80's until I was finally able to get me a pair of 1200's at the age of 12. I discovered that with belt driven turntables - if you get a rubber band that was about an inch or 2 smaller than the belt, you would gain the necessary torque to cut and scratch without the lag. You would lose much accuracy with the pitch control, actually having to put the pitch all the way up to achieve normal record speed. I only added that tidbit to let you know that I have been around the game for years. I have 8 1200's and recently sold my Pioneer turntables due to my loyalty to the Technics brand. I received my Rane Ones yesterday from zZounds. I almost called in sick today from work. I found myself cutting and mixing all night long, well into the morning. Why do I love them already? First, I am one of those guys that keeps everything in coffins. I find that a carry bag/backpack would actually work better for these. Being able to walk into a venue with a backpack and pull out a worthy device adds a great feeling of portablility. Plug and play in its true form. As a former battle DJ, the spacing of 2 1200's and a mixer on a table next to each other outside of a coffin provide that extra split second to be able to slice and dice without having any obstructions. They nailed it with the Rane One. I feel right at home with the size and spacing of the platters and fader. I thought I would dislike the strip at the top as opposed to my natural lifting and placing of a needle. It took me a second to get used to not moving a needle upon changing songs. I got over it quick. It works well - almost a cheat code if you know music and have producing skills. The hit point selection and software effects work as advertised. All of the bells and whistles of a controller are in tact and are great in quality. Buttons and sliders are smooth and well done. The real meat and potatoes are the ability to do what you do if you love turntables and can you rock a crowd with these? The answer is a resounding YES! I would have actually liked for them to remove some of the buttons and knobs so I can have some space to add my own flair to the device. I would love to put some snazzy stickers and such on it to make more of my own. There are many things on it that I can't really see myself using. I feel like this device was created with the turntablist in mind but added options on it to appeal to today's DJ (Digital Jerks), and truth be told, they are more likely to shy away from this device due to other options that have built in effects and stationary platters. Most of today's youth won't appreciate why this device is game changing, meanwhile, old heads like me won't really appreciate the digital bells and whistles on it because of the purity of the sport and what's actually achievable with the ability to create manually due to the size and functionality of what the machine captures. I can only see them making a slightly bigger device (something in between a 7 inch and a 12 inch) and stripping some of the unnecessary options out and really giving turntablist a true device for battling and cutting it up. This is the turning point for the sport of DJing right now. The same way Technics 1200's change the game in the 70's - This is ground Zero. In 20 years, this device will be in the Hall of Fame.
