The Ranger 2.25/2.4 Tyre is cross country and trail specialist, built to roll fast even over wet, spongy ground. It features a light casing that grips without the need for chunky, heavy knobs, while modest, siped knobs provide a surprising amount of traction. The centre knobs are tightly spaced, to minimise drag, while the open outer lugs assist with cornering and discourage mud from clinging to the tyre. Meanwhile, the multi-directional siping helps to shed water and maximise your grip while pedalling, braking, turning or climbing by increasing the number of edges in contact with the trail. Every part of the tyre, including these knobs, does its job more efficiently thanks to the use of TriTec Compound in its construction. Three different blends of rubber deliver different qualities to best suit the function of each area of the tyre, so supportive, tough rubber forms the foundation and base of the knobs, the centre knobs use a blend that balances speed with durability, while a softer, slower-rebounding blend aids side knob traction. Fast rolling is encouraged by the light, single-layer casing. The Ranger is also Tubeless ready, so that you can run lower pressures for even more comfort and grip. It offers the option to add SG2 puncture protection besides, a nylon layer that reduces the chance of pinch and other flats while enhancing the sidewall stability, all while being lighter than a second layer of casing.
