Are x-raps good to eat?

Every darn Striped Bass I had ever asked told me heck yes. I had several that says they look good wiggling, hold up straight when running in hard currents, which keeps them looking eatable. ?Why heck , the darn things are almost totally accepted in the Striped bass world as the finest of items to eat. They also say , most fishermen who use x-raps are more prawn to release us after we are caught. The ones who use the other guys practice catch and fillet. , while our guys with the x-raps are still doing the catch and release us. We love our fisherman who use X-Raps. If you ask I will also supply the colors that work best.

I have been using Rapalas for years and I have caught plenty of fish on them. Lately I've been getting into Smallmouth fishing and have found that they are partial to Fluorescent colors. The X-Rap 10 in Hot-Head, Hot-Pink, Clown and Silver Fluorescent Chartreuse UV are deadly for Smallies. This lure has all the action of their more expensive cousins at less than half the price. They suspend, they can be jerked, walked underwater, snapped, and whatever other way you want to work them. Don't get me wrong, I love and use Megabass, Lucky Craft, Ima and others, but to purchase 10 of those baits would cost at least $200 and up. To purchase the same amount of Rapalas would be anywhere from $100-$120. I’m not sure why people classify it as a cold weather bait. Up here in Minnesota I slay them year round on the XR10. I’m constantly outperforming my friends who are using spinnerbaits and cranks spring, summer and fall. Often times they have one of mine tied on by the end of the day. I know everyone has their favorite. This is definitely my #1. With 4-5 inch swimbaits a distant second. Try it. Jerk Jerk Pause... Jerk Jerk Jerk Pause...

One of the Very Best Jerk Baits
28 December 2016

The X-Rap is a high quality lure with realistic eyes that comes in flashy, fish attracting colors. It sports sharp and sturdy VMC treble hooks. It suspends in the water so it provokes strikes while paused after a few twitches when worked in typical jerk bait fashion. The smaller 04 and 06 sizes cast best with a spinning rod while the larger sizes will work on a suitable action bait casting rod. A medium power rod with a medium speed is all that is needed for a good hook set due to the relatively small hooks, at least on the sizes up to 08. I find they work well for catching large mouth bass in colder water, in the mid 40s to the high 50s. X-Raps come in a wide variety of colors which can matched to the forage the bass are feeding upon, such as different types of ... MoreThe X-Rap is a high quality lure with realistic eyes that comes in flashy, fish attracting colors. Rapala Slashbait 10cms lure

Rapala lures have a long legacy and class of its own. The Rapala 10cms has good action and lives upto your expectation and beyond everytime. Some of my favourite go to lures. Careful with the manufacturer nickle hooks and split rings that it comes with though. You might want to replace it with a stronger treble hooks/split rings. Would recommend 👍

The suspending of this lure catches big fish for sure. This lure is amazing and a must must have for your tackle box! Great for bass, and works well for other fish. It doesn't take a pro angler to catch some big fish with this lure, that's for sure. BUY ONE AND IT WILL CHANGE YOUR FISHING TRIP TO A CATCHING TRIP!!!

These are awesome for panfish and multiple species!
30 June 2023

I bought these because of the Lindner's. I've been a life long fan of Al Lindner and his entire family and they love these. If they love them, then I knew they had to be good. Last year was the first year that I fell in love with throwing hard baits for panfish (crappie, bluegill, white bass, etc.), but largemouth and saugeye love them too! I mix up the cadence on these depending on the day and once you find that cadence that works hang on!!! These flat out catch fish and are a lot of fun to fish! Action is awesome, durability is great, and they pretty much catch everything in any body of water. From lakes, to streams, to rivers, to ponds. I will always have one of these tied on especially in the Spring and Fall.

One of the best jerk baits ever. Fish love the action and it works well in spring or summer. This bait triggers reactions everytime I tie it on. Will be looking to purchase more color variations.

Great looking bait. I’ve used this bait in different colors to catch quality bass. I’m sure this will be the same. The movement in the water looks realistic. Will definitely be putting this in my arsenal of jerkbaits.

One of my all time favorite lures. A truly versatile lure, I have caught them on a straight retrieve, a jerky retrieve, hard jerks or soft jerks- this lure can do them all.It has a great fish attracting rattle, and that tail feather really makes the bass go wild. It flutters during the pauses in a way that looks great. Great hooks and doesn't get up up so band, I fish it in the sticks and brush.I like most of the hot colors, clown, rusty crawdad, marylin, and silver. I have like all the colors, Dicks needs to get more of a selection because there are like over 20 different colors available!I like the 1/4 oz size- It will catch some small fish too, but it seems to just catch any fish as long as its there. I even gotten two at one a couple of times, see pic.
