Firstly, it can only mount on one side (which is the wrong side for me). Secondly, if you have a sealed driveway, there's absolutely "ZERO" grip and finally, if you have a slight incline, you have no chance of moving the trailer. The jockey wheel needs a real inflatable tyre and not a hard rubber, no grip wheel. I bought this during an online special and will never do that again. Would give it a zero rating if I could. Very poor design. Should not be sold in store. I don't blame the store for this dud purchase but the product I bought was of a substandard. design.

This jockey wheel makes it much easier to steer our Tvan with only one or two people pushing it using the steering bar. No more kicking the wheel to get it started to turn. It also makes it possible to ratchet the Tvan up gradients and over bumps using a mechanical advantage. If you don't need the mechanical advantage on smooth flat ground it can free-wheel like the antique jockey wheels. We were contemplating the purchase of a motorized jockey wheel but they are much more expensive than the ARC Ezimover and unnecessary for our small van. It makes you wonder why all campers and caravans don't come with a steering bar and ratchet system.

This product was bought to replace a non ratchet Ark jockey wheel supplied with my new camper. It installed within minutes without any difficulty and has made moving my camper so much easier. Changing direction of movement is very simple and the effort required to operate the ratchet is minimal. Well worth the extra money over the basic Ark jockey wheel.
