I bought one of these and found it hard to set, thought it was faulty bought another, worst snap traps I have used. Have caught 1 rat in over 2 months. Didn't kill it. Have moved on to other traps. Don't waste your money

In order the catch a rat, you must first learn how to think like a rat.When placed in the correct location and given time, this trap will catch your rat.WARNING: THIS TRAP WILL CATCH, BUT NOT KILL RATS.You will have to kill the rat yourself.The rat will make noises that can only be described as screaming. It may cause initial trauma but you will become hardened.My recommendation is to have a bucket of water ready. Release the maimed rat in the bucket to drown. Live your life. You did what was neccessary.My partner has complained that I now stare quietly into the distance for long periods of time. Remembering.This trap is not for the meek but it gets results. 5 stars
