Ray-Ban has masterfully merged fashion and technology, creating a seamless blend effortlessly. These smart glasses come with built-in Bluetooth bone conduction speakers discreetly integrated into the frames. The audio quality is very impressive, delivering clear and crisp sound without compromising on comfort. I would have my friends try them on and then play a song and seeing their faces light up when they heard the song and the confusion of how they were hearing the music was hilarious.Whether I'm on a call, listening to my favorite music, podcasts, the audio experience is immersive, allowing me to enjoy my content without the hassle of wearing traditional headphones. I had to go shopping with my girlfriend during college football and just put the game on my phone and was listening to the commentary and she had no clue I was listening to the game. The touch-sensitive controls on the right frame are intuitive and responsive. Adjusting the volume, skipping tracks, or answering calls is as simple as a tap or a swipe, eliminating the need to fumble for my phone constantly. The hands-free convenience these glasses offer is a game-changer, especially when I'm multitasking or on the go. The Meta personal assistant needs some work in that it can’t integrate with some 3rd party apps on my phone such as asking it to open my music app it says it can't do that. The 12 Megapixel cameras are very impressive taking clear photos and videos. Just press the button on the right frame and you can capture the moment in an instant. Pressing and holding the button will start filming video for up to 1 minute. Was a little disappointed it only can videos for 1 minute but I guess that's meta just wanting the length to be that for Reels posts. You can also ask the Meta assistant to take a picture or start filming if your hands are full which is a great feature. The left frame has a privacy switch where you can turn the cameras off, if you want so you are not accidentally filming or taking pictures. The Meta View app is very user friendly and makes it easy with step-by step instructions to pair your sunglasses to your phone. In the app is where you manage your media and settings. All your photos and videos will be stored here and then you can transfer them to your phone's photo album or you can select what you want to post to all Meta’s social media apps.Battery life is surprisingly good with about 2 and half hrs and then you can just charge them in the case which has about 3 charges in it. The case is the charger for the sunglasses and you can charge it with a USB-C port. I was a little disappointed that they didn't include a USB-C cord with them.Overall, the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Wayfarer Bluetooth Audio Glasses have exceeded my expectations. Ray-Ban and Meta have successfully created a product that seamlessly combines style, comfort, and cutting-edge technology. I’ve shown these to a handful of my friends and two of them have gone out and bought a pair. So, If you're looking for a stylish and innovative tech accessory, I can not recommend these enough and give these smart glasses a try.

I think the biggest problem with these is that they are sunglasses. Getting to live stream watching my kid’s hockey game so my family can watch is awesome… but watching through sunglasses bugs me. With that said I really wish these weren’t limited to Instagram and Facebook. Messenger would be awesome to do video conferencing with or WhatsApp, where I’m not broadcasting to the world and my dad could feel like he is in person during holidays he has to miss every once in a while. So basically, I don’t like it that it doesn’t have more integration with more facebook products and seems to be aimed at social media versus more personal interactions; I also don’t like that they are just sunglasses, but that is quite fixable and I am currently doing that; and I don’t like ... MoreI think the biggest problem with these is that they are sunglasses. So basically, I don’t like it that it doesn’t have more integration with more facebook products and seems to be aimed at social media versus more personal interactions; I also don’t like that they are just sunglasses, but that is quite fixable and I am currently doing that; and I don’t like the battery life, it’s better, but it still has a way to go on that front and four hours is optimistic. With all that out there…What a difference a generation makes. The glasses and the app. I like the old generation for what they were and as a Bluetooth headset they worked quite well, but these take it to the next level. First, mat black is so much better than shiny black. Second, the case with integrated charging is so much better. Everything is a little bit slimmer and just better designed. The fact that these have live streaming is just amazing.Don’t think that you’ll be sleuthing around taking videos of everyone with no one the wiser as there is an LED on the right side that turns on a varies in intensity so as to attract attention I assume. I like this feature as it adds a level of comfort to everyone around you who might get a little bit… hesitant... around cameras in glasses.Just having them out of the case and on your head drains the battery, with me doing nothing with them on a drive, they lost about 6% in an hour. Once I got to the hockey game and did some recording, they lost about 10% in as many minutes and one live stream even took them even further down, basically if you planning on live streaming plan on a dead battery in 30 min. I would also recommend not downloading photos until you are done or can put them in the case for a bit (which you can upload while they are in the case) Using them just as Bluetooth headsets and taking some pictures every once in a while is how I assume they get the 4 hours. However, I am closer to 2.5 hours in my use, but I did switch the default of one click to a 60 second video versus a picture. The speakers are so much clearer and the music sounds pretty good on them and everyone says I come across crystal clear, except if I put them on my head I almost completely disappear, I found this out when I walked inside while talking and naturally just rose them to the top of my head so I could see more clearly. So that is the main difference is the mics are much more attuned to being on your eyes and don’t work if the glasses are 5” higher. Also, if you haven’t worn for a bit, don’t expect to be able to just whip them out, if it’s been awhile they go into a pretty deep sleep and take 15 or 20 seconds to boot up and connect to your phone and realize they need to be awake.Overall, they look and feel like Rayban quality sunglasses with the added benefit of being able to capture video, camera and voice. And if I could wave my wand and ask for anything it would be the ability to use the live video on messenger or WhatsApp while being able to choose if the speakers could be heard by everyone or just me as well as the mic working for just me or for everyone… the ultimate experience of someone being there that can’t be there.

I can consider myself an owner of one of the first pairs of Ray-Ban's smart sunglasses, but I've never been able to count myself as much of a user of them. While they are stylish and somewhat cool to use they were marred by a variety of flaws. The lenses were non-replaceable, making them either unreasonably expensive or largely useless to anyone who required a prescription. The audio quality was somewhat mediocre. And the quality of the cameras left a lot to be desired. This second generation manages to improve on just about everything about the first attempt - though it admittedly does still have a bit of room for improvement.First up, let's talk about the elephant in the room: the lenses. With the original glasses you could only get lenses installed in the factory, and most opticians wouldn't even consider working on them if the originals got damaged or you found yourself wanting to get a prescription made up. The lenses in this version can be replaced, though admittedly you do need to take them into one of their approved partners for this service. The price is fairly reasonable for Ray-Ban branded optics, and while at the moment selection is fairly limited this is something that could realistically be improved over time. I do find myself missing the option for transition lenses, which is what I had with my last pair, but the polarized gradient lenses I got with this one are great sunglasses and offer sterling clarity out in the field.Next up is the frame. Once again, my original pair was pretty good but not perfect. It was a bit bulky and heavy around the temples, which could lead to some discomfort after a while. Additionally the sound produced by the built in directional speakers lacked good bass response, even going by the somewhat lower standards of open-air headphone designs like this. The new pair feels like it's got a much better balance and while tolerances haven't changed much they have changed enough to alleviate the pain that came with prolonged use. And much to my surprise, they sound amazing. Music and speech both come through very clear and there's bass to spare, almost as good as my in-ear headphones. They've also got plenty of volume - perhaps a little too much, in fact. Audio bleed is definitely a thing so if privacy is your goal you may not want to make use of these for calls or listening to your favorite music. But my main use case is biking or going for hikes with my dog, and I find them to be perfect for that. Finally, the cameras. The new cameras they've installed here are significantly improved over the last generation, offering much greater clarity for both video and still images. There's also the new ability to do live streaming. I'll admit that this feature still feels rather odd to me, but it's undeniably cool.I'm still not quite ready to make these my daily glasses - I'd definitely want transition lenses for that as I don't want to have to choose between being able to listen to my invisible earbuds or being that weird guy wandering around a convenience store with dark sunglasses on. But they have managed to fulfill the promise of the originals of being the best smart glasses currently on the market. They're an easy recommendation for me - assuming of course you're willing to pay Ray-Ban prices.
These Smart glasses attracted my attention when they were first announced. Ray-Ban Stories were the first generation and I liked those but used them mostly as just sun glasses. Now when Meta has partnered with Ray-Ban to make the second gen and announced all the new improvements they did to the product, I decided to give them another try and was able to get Ray-Ban Meta - Wayfarer (Standard) Smart with Bluetooth Audio. Here are my experiences with these glasses:First of all, they are comfortable, its design is trendy and they look exactly like any regular Ray-Bans in this category. They are not chunky and its weight is simply perfect, even though they house, two cameras, microphones, speakers and a processing unit, etc.Image and Video quality is excellent for a ... MoreThese Smart glasses attracted my attention when they were first announced. The shutter button is conveniently located on top of the right arm, however thanks to the embedded AI Assistant, yes these Smart Glasses feature a full-fledged AI helper to answer your questions. So if you need to take a picture or a video, you simple say: "Hey Meta, take a picture" and just like that you are shooting a 12MP picture. This Smart Glasses are definitely great for the first person photo and video. Now, just make sure you do not wear a baseball hat like I did, a mistake you will see later in your pictures. Now, let's talk about the Audio quality. Speakers on these glasses rock! I mean, the sound is pure, crisp and sound like a good pair of headphones. What's amazing is there is nothing poking in your ears, the sound flows out of the glasses and surrounds you in a way. Also, unlike the first gen these smart glasses do not leak the sound everywhere so the people around you can hear everything. At 50% volume, you are enjoying your music, not your friends or family who are with you at the moment.I really like taking calls with these Smart Glasses, use them for biking and listening to my favorite playlists and podcasts. Now, since there is no display inside or on your lenses, I am still hoping for Google like glasses some day in the future, as a lot of your requests and conversations with the AI Meta Assistant will rely on the Audio feedback. I found the answers were right on and are very a matter of fact. You can choose a number of different voices to your liking. Of course the glasses rely on your phone's data or internet connection to answer your questions.Overall, I am very pleased and surprised by these glasses. They are definitely going to be used a lot and I look forward to new gen of AI Smart glasses next year!
The new Ray-Bay Meta glasses are not too heavy and have the benefit of the classic Wayfarer aesthetic. The camera quality is surprisingly good, even in darker settings. Even when not used for the camera, the audio is solid and quite passable. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's a replacement for a good pair of earbuds, but the convenience factor is unparalleled. It functions as a quick camera, Bluetooth headset, and sunglasses. It also has integration with specific apps like Spotify, when set up it allows you to hold the media button (the side of the glasses) and it will recommend a song and begin playing (essentially an immediate smart shuffle, current Spotify users will know what I'm referring to).The only downside I have found is the battery life is not the greatest, roughly four hours of use. This appears to be the trade-off for the frame being much lighter than other smart glasses (of course still noticeably heavier than sunglasses by themselves). I did end up exchanging these glasses for the polarized version as these transition glasses do not work in a car. Something along the lines of, "The windshield blocks UV light so the glasses will not respond to the sunlight and revert back to clear". That's more of a lens "issue" rather than an issue with the glasses themselves, however. I would recommend these glasses in general if you like slick gadgets that don't scream tech nerd too heavily.
In the box is the smart glasses, a charging case, USB-C charging cord, a lens cleansing cloth and warranty/quick start guide.First Impression - Compared to my previous wayfarer smart glasses, the product box was way simpler, which made it less fancy. I do like the redesign of the charging case and how the glasses actually charge. No longer do they charge from the temple but they charge from the bridge of your nose which makes charger easier to seat. Previously, you had to pay attention to how the glasses fit in the charging case because if not seated properly, they would not charge.Comfort - The comfort is good, they are the normal traditional RayBan cut, so they are still comfortable. The arms are thinner than the original wayfarers, so that helps as well. The hinges are a thicker metal hinge, so they feel a lot stronger/sturdier.Functionality - The app has been updated/changed and is now called Meta and you can use this app for the old wayfarers and this new pair of smart glasses. You still have the on and off button on the inside of the left arm. The capture button is on the right arm on the top; Quick press for pictures, long press for video. Volume, up and down/track skip and reverse/start and stop, is a touch button on the outside of the right arm. (This function is available when you sign into Spotify in the app.) Google assistant is included and it reads you your messages from all different platforms, reads your calendar with the press of a button on the right side arm of the smart glasses. You can also talk to the glasses and tell google assistant what action you want to take. Another feature I noticed, if you listening to music and you can’t hear, you can cup you ear with your hand and the music will be louder. The audio capture is lot better and the video and photo is about the same; they were both already pretty good, so no need for much improvement there. The calling and receiving calls was already great and it is still great on these smart glasses.Right now, I am learning more and more about this pair of smart glasses and I am definitely loving the upgrades and updates. So far, no cons - I forgot to mention that the case has a charge light on the front, so if you have another pair of RayBans with the time color case, you should be able to tell which case goes with which pair of sunglasses. Also, there is a USB-C port on the bottom.Overall, so far, this upgrade is a five out of five and I would highly recommend to friends and family.
I had great hopes for these glasses after reading the review on them in the WSJ. Unfortunately they have some deficiencies that fail to make them as useful as I had hoped. The biggest issue is that they will not consistently attach, or stay attached, to my iPhone 15 during phone calls. I had very much hoped to be able to use them to stay hands free during phone calls, but they drop too often to be reliable. The photo and video feature is cool initially, but the focal point is very much "instamatic/point and shoot" and cannot be adjusted in any way. If the subject matter is a person no more than ten feet away, it's a fine picture. Further than that, not so much -- a huge portion of the picture is foreground and there's nothing that can be done about that. Further than that, not so much -- a huge portion of the picture is foreground and there's nothing that can be done about that. Even editing/zooming/cropping once the photo/video is downloaded is unsatisfactory as the image is of such low quality that it quickly bitmaps. On the plus side, the WSJ's review's focus on the music/sound is spot on -- the quality of music listening is even better than AirPods, which is amazing since there is nothing sitting in my ear canal. Also on the plus side, the battery is very long lasting, and once low, charges very quickly in the case -- I had it down to 18% charged, put it in the case, and it was recharged to 100% in 7 minutes. I have no idea how many charges the case supports -- I've recharged the glasses from less than 20% up to three times without also recharging the case, and still did not seem close to discharging the case. All in all, I'm not sorry I have them, but they are more a novelty than a reliable tool at this point. Hopefully subsequent additions will improve things, especially the ability to attach and stay attached to my iPhone.

I switched to this pair from the transition version, and I am very happy. The polarized lenses also help prevent glare from light sources. I will say, the frames are on the larger end if you have a small face. These non-transition sunglasses will help mask that fact as it's more difficult to see where the lens starts and begins. However, I would definitely recommend that you try them on in-store if you are able to, just to see if they would fit your face properly.
I like Reviewing Everything I use and when the Ray Ban Stories first came out, I got them because I enjoy taking pictures as well as videos, and for the most part I post them for my family and friends to see. And now that the second generation came out I had to try them and they are superior to the first generation, they are amazing and much better than anything out there.First they come well packaged, they come with the charging case, glasses, cleaning cloth, instructions and a very useful application; they do not come with a cable or a charging adapter, on the other hand I have plenty of USB C cables so I do not need another one.The instructions for setup are very simple, download the app, charge the case and follow the instructions that walk you step by step ... MoreI like Reviewing Everything I use and when the Ray Ban Stories first came out, I got them because I enjoy taking pictures as well as videos, and for the most part I post them for my family and friends to see. The pictures using the 12 megapixel camera takes photos of 4032 x 3024 px, and videos of 1920 x 1440 px @ 30Fps and finally the sound is amazing because when I play back the videos I can hear the amazing sounds from all over because the glasses have five microphones. And speaking of sound, as a triathlete and marathoner I can hear to music while I am aware of my surroundings while I am doing most activities and the music sounds great, much better than the previous version, it still does not compare to earbuds because they are not in my ears but I am really enjoying my glasses because these sunglasses not only do they have great sound, they offer a lot more. The glasses connect via Bluetooth 5.3 or Wi-Fi 2.4-5 Ghz.One thing to enjoy the most is the Meta AI, all I have to say is “Hey Meta” and I can either take a picture, video or ask anything I want like the weather or air quality. The glasses have a touch pad on the right, it is not visible but when I want to put the volume up/down, pause, play, play music from Spotify and more I can do it with a soft touch to the glasses, just awesome.Streaming, is easy, I can start live streaming with my phone, switch back and forth with the glasses it comes out fantastic. To take a picture there is a button that all I have to do is touch once and there is a picture, and the glasses have an led to let me know it took the picture, long press the button and it will take a minute of video while I can see it is recording it also lets others know I am recording because there is an LED light to show that I am doing so.Overall these glasses from Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer are amazing, not only do they look cool, elegant and fantastic, I can listen to music or anything I want to listen to while hiking, running, or just bring them with me to take pictures, videos or even live stream. I can also hear my messages and send them back by using Meta’s AI, also by using Meta’s assistant I have access to get information just using my voice.
