Best mouse I have ever owned

I actually have to admit I bought this by mistake - not that I don't want it, far from it. I bought my first Razer Naga Trinity mouse back in 2018 or thereabouts. Longest lasting mouse I ever had, a real workhorse and I give it a lot of workout; gaming, browsing, streaming, this thing is in use most hours of any given day. After years of good use it started to track poorly, and I saw it on special so I bit the bullet and bought a replacement. Then while wiating for that to arrive, I took a real, REAL sloe look at the optical sensor and realised that pushed in around the edges under the "lip", was lint, hair etc. Not directly in front of the sensor, but once removed it worked fine again so obviously it had its impact. Now, ANOTHER year and a half or so later, I am ... MoreI actually have to admit I bought this by mistake - not that I don't want it, far from it. Only when it arrived and I went to put it in my cupboard of "gaming bits" did I realise I still have the replacement I bought in 2020!Oh well, I guess I've got at least 10 more years then - although the first one is still going strong so who knows how long it will last. And I must give high praise to the engineers for the middle mouse button - that's what always failed on me, I seem to ride it hard even when not using it, but the naga trinity has always worked perfectly and not lost its responsiveness, clickiness etc.Best darn mouse I have ever owned, bar NONE. So good, I have 2 backups :)

My brother uses the 6-button layout for FPS and other action games while using the 12-button layout for MMOs like Final Fantasy XIV. He says it's been very helpful for those types of games.All-in-all, it's a great all-rounder mouse. The ability to customize your mouse layout is a neat gimmick that functions really well. The software is easy to use and allows for a high degree of personalization. One potential downside is that the Naga Trinity is a wired mouse, which may be a dealbreaker for some gamers who prefer wireless devices. However, the wired connection ensures a stable and reliable connection, which is critical for competitive gaming.Overall, the Razer Naga Trinity Wired Optical Gaming Mouse is an excellent choice for gamers who want a versatile and customizable mouse that can adapt to different game genres and playstyles. Its interchangeable side plates, accurate tracking, and customizable features make it a worthwhile investment for any serious gamer.

Great mouse for all types of games.

Awesome mouse. I’m not a pro gamer by any means. I’m just an average user playing MMOs mainly and FPS games occasionally. I didn’t really need to Trinity version of this mouse, but it was all that was available and it was on sale.I must say that I was wrong about not needing the other side plates. While I can play FPS games fine with the MMO plate attached, I find that it’s much more comfortable with one of the other two plates because I can have a firmer grip with my thumb.Overall, the design is nice. The side plates attach via magnets, which works very well. I thought this would have plastic clips or screws but fortunately that isn’t the case.My one and only gripe would be the mouse wheel. It’s very, VERY tactile. It feels like your churning plastic gears that aren’t 100% compatible and it’s skipping every other tooth or something. According to other feedback I’ve read, this is normal. It’s also a bit loud. I’ve gotten used to it but if your currently using a super smooth scroll wheel, prepare for something different.

QA Issues & Odd Ergonomics

I'm mostly used to the shapes of the Corsair M65 RGB (short & wide) and the Logitech G502 Hero (long & narrow). The Naga Trinity has a rather odd shape: it's large and bulbous where the palm rests, and has a dedicated groove for the 4th finger to rest similar to the Logitech G600. My hands measure ~20cm from the centre of the wrist joint to the tip of the middle finger.I can get used to the Naga Trinity's odd bulbous shape, but I just can't get used to the placement of the thumb clusters. I use a hybrid grip (palm flat against mouse, fingers curved) with a slightly bent thumb. This results every thumb cluster being BEHIND my thumb rather than UNDER my thumb. Only having a maximum of 3 buttons accessible defeats the whole point of an MMO mouse. I can only really see this mouse being comfortable on people with medium-large hands who play with VERY bent thumbs or just have short thumbs.Personally, I found the Corsair Scimitar to be just right for me, as it features an adjustable thumb cluster and has more standard ergonomics unlike the Naga Trinity. It's also roughly $20 CAD cheaper than the Naga Trinity. Overall, I would only really recommend the Naga Trinity if you NEED the swappable thumb clusters and find the ergonomics to be acceptable.

Quite possibly my favorite mouse ever.

I've been a PC user since the 80s, and in that time I have used a LOT of mice. Out of all of them, this one is probably my favorite, it's just good at everything. The design of the mouse is perfect, not too heavy, not too light, and the side button plates allow this to work for every situation. I first got acclimated to having my side number pad during my wow days, and now it just feels like something I can't give up, and this one works beautifully for that. I am also a fan of the side push scroll wheel for page up/page down. The price is fair, considering this is essentially 3 mice in one.

Right click issues on two mouses, avoid.
25 May 2023

The design is good, the ring finger rest is superb and more mice need it. BUT I've gone through two of these mice, the 2nd I returned within the return window. Both mice failed with a right click issue. Additionally, the software is not worth installing either so don't even consider it. The first mouse my right click stopped holding so while holding right click to aim it would release. Then the 2nd mouse the right click would creak and groan when touching it which was awful. Fortunately I was within the return window. If you buy one of these make sure the right click functions without creaks or moans and holds when you use it. But ultimately these mice seem to have quality control issues. The Best Mouse For This Price!!

Excellent as always from Razer's mouse department. Been using it for 2+ years now, been dropped many times, lots of backpack wear n tear, and yet it still works great! Can't go wrong with this mouse, especially at the sale price it's now at. The scroll wheel side buttons are so nice and convenient, that when I use other mice I now get disappointed not having that feature. Super nice! The three different swapable plates are also a great addition, and very easy to swap. I used the mmo layout for about a year, no wear on it or on the number's paint. Also used the 2 button one up until now. No wear n tear on that either. Grips have no sign of wear. Great, quality mouse from Razer. I use this mouse over my razer deathadder and balistix when gaming. It feels so premium and light and is super spot-on accurate with the optical sensor. Call of Duty quick-scoping is so fun with this mouse, along with Valorant, Skyrim, League of Legends or whatever you might play. I love the mice from this company, and this one is SUPERB for this price. I would even go as far to say this is for the professional gamer, not just the casual. The razer synapse software is also very useful (though clunky) for setting up RGB settings and DPI. On my 24", I found that 1200dpi is perfection. Just make sure you go into Razer Central settings and disable the annoying Razer splash screen that comes up every time you log into Windows. Overall amazing value, and my favorite mouse to use when gaming! 2+ years going strong with no issues!
