Let me start by saying I’ve owned every version of the Ornata since they were first introduced, and I was very excited to get my hands on the v3. My first concern though, was the removal of the volume scroll wheel. I soon realized how little I used that at all, and it was quickly forgotten about once I saw the new vibrance of the rgb colors. If you’re a sucker for rgb like me, this will not disappoint. The other concern I had, was removing the soft cushion like wrist pad, in place of a plastic one. While I loved the cushion style, I’m surprised to say I actually prefer the plastic. It’s made of a soft feel plastic that almost gives you an extra sense of grip, that I really appreciate. And after using it for a few minutes, it feels no different than the cushion style ... MoreLet me start by saying I’ve owned every version of the Ornata since they were first introduced, and I was very excited to get my hands on the v3. As for the keys, and the general use of the keyboard, once again I feel that the Ornata’s are the best keyboards you can get for under $100. The quality of feel and looks just make it the perfect keyboard for me, and I highly recommend it for gamers on a budget, or truly anyone looking for great value.

I think this board is a really nice option for people who want a low-profile board with Synapse integration and customizable RGB. The backlight is actually really nice-looking and I even prefer it to my DeathStalker V2 Pro, it’s more of a bright and vibrant looking than normal Razer keyboards. The Mecha-Mebrane feels very close to clicky type of switches, it probably wouldn’t fool a keyboard aficionado, but I doubt the average PC gamer or just regular consumer would be able to tell it wasn’t a real mechanical board. It’s leagues better than most membrane boards and I think it’s good enough to justify the price. Although it’s worth mentioning that you could get a decent budget board with RGB and wireless functionality AND with real switches for roundabout this price. One downside is it’s wired only, but how big of a deal is that really? How often do you find yourself typing from farther away from your computer than 1-2 feet? The USB cable is permanently attached to the keyboard, I know some people appreciate unpluggable cables, even on wired only keyboards and controllers, but you don’t get that here. On a final note, I really like the magnetic wrist rest and wish Razer would do this on their higher end keyboards, which most don’t have this functionality. It’s a nice touch and you don’t even really need a wrist rest for low profile boards, so it’s cool to see it included.SO MY FINAL THOUGHTS This keyboard is very well designed. I use this as an everyday keyboard in my home office and love the simplicity of it with the added features to make it look and feel like a more expensive keyboard. The RGB lighting is really cool looking and extremely customizable through the software. You are able to turn on different color lighting as well as make the lights have different effects. The keys on this unit are soft touch and have a very slight clicking noise which is nice compared to some keyboards that have a loud clunking sound when the keys are pressed. The latency is null on this keyboard due to it being a wired connection. The keyboard also features a removable wrist rest that simply is placed or removed via magnetic connection. A great keyboard that stands up to the Razer branding and looks and feels just like the more expensive competitors. Highly recommend!

I use this keyboard in office mostly for work. My favorite feature is the Razer mecha membrane keys. The keys make typing satisfying. The software included is intuitive and in depth. I love designing new profiles so everyday has a different feel. The magnetic wrist rest is great, it’s comfortable and convenient compared to the ones that are attached to the keyboard. Overall I’m very happy with the product and would recommend to a friend.

Comfortable for all day use
3 November 2022

I have been using this keyboard for almost 2 weeks now at work, it is pretty comfortable for all day typing- i work in an office setting and typing is 95% of my job. It isnt overly bulky and i like the wrist rest that comes with it. I was able to turn off the backlighting on the keyboard which is great because the lighting was pretty distracting for work, although it would be nice in personal/gaming settings. I do feel a bit of wrist strain so I may need to replace or reposition the wrist rest and the keys are pretty loud while typing. Luckily i dont share an office so it doesnt bother me much but i think if i shared an office space the noice level of the key 'clicks' would probably be too much for those around me. Decent gaming keyboard
4 November 2022

The Ornata v3 features a mech-membrane key style that has an interseting feel to it. The mechanical switches combined with the membrane actuator seems almost pointless. Yes, I think you get a more precise press, but the actual up and down motion of the key is very much like a regular traditional keyboard due to the membrane. The colors can be customized using Razer's Synapse V3 software that is very comprehensive and uses the Chroma-technology. The only issue is that the keyboard can not be customized key-to-key, and instead has set zones of where lighting can be customized. This may or may not be a problem depending on how much light customization you would be looking to do. The colors are nice and vibrant however and the magnetic wrist rest is a good comfort addition.

I love it!!
1 November 2022

While I’m not the avid gamer, I am an avid computer user and have to type a lot. The standard keyboard that came with my computer was very clunky and hard to type with. I got this one because of how fast the buttons work and the caps are much more shallower than the regular keyboard. It has been a breeze to type and use for my papers. I no longer have stiff fingers and I love the comfort pad that it has as well. The best part is the way it lights up! It seriously looks so cool and I get compliments on my ornata keyboard all the time! I’ve even had a few people ask if they can have it haha, I’m sorry but no. I definitely recommend this for everyday use as well as gaming.

Since using this keyboard I have been able to game longer without my hand and wrist pain. I love the ergonomic design and I love that the keys fit more naturally with my fingers. The color displays are awesome with so many to choose from for the back light. The ornate V3 comes with a magnetic wrist support that easily snaps into place and proves some comfort. This keyboard works fantastically for both gaming and work. I also love the UV coating on the keys I have a few keyboards that have faded with time. The UV coating is supposed to protect against that time will tell but so far good keyboard to have.

I am so so happy with this Ornata V3 gaming keyboard. Funny enough, I just needed a regular keyboard and figured this one has many cool and helpful features that I have been using both for gaming & regular computer use. Firstly, the aesthetic and look of this keyboard is gorgeous! I love just looking at it. The colorful light up feature is awesome. I also appreciate the way this is set up and how comfortable and easy it is to use. I have never had a keyboard that was truly enjoyable to use! It's a game changer. Not for gaming.
9 February 2023

As stated in another review, this is NOT for gaming. Cannot do many 3-key combinations. Disappointing because it is advertised as a gaming keyboard. Random keys get stuck on repeat every time Windows locks, forcing me to get up and unplug my keyboard every single time I need to type my Windows password in. Didn't realize there was an issue until after I tossed the receipt. Wal-Mart was kind enough to exchange it for another Ornata V3, but it has the same issue. First Razer product I've bought in a decade and I feel completely robbed. Never again, thanks.

I got this from the Razers store, and It is GOOD for the amount you pay. I Paid 84$ (on razers website for shipping) but on Walmart, you can get it for the normal amount. NOTE: THIS IS A MECHA-MEMBRANE. It is a membrane keyboard with little metal things making a mecha sound. It is a Plastic body and comes with a magnetic wrist rest, a soft plastic that feels nice when you put your arm on it. It is a full-sized keyboard with Zoned RBG (sone one area of keys will be the same color, But still Looks GOOD with a classic wave of RBG, can't tell) The box is awsome. NOTE: YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD RAZER SYSTEM TO MODIFY IT. Also comes with free stickers, and 2 years of free warranty. If you're getting the Cynosa v2, get this... WAY better. Also it is low profile
