Look, I'm a hefty fellow with a huge appetite for Cool Ranch Doritos. I go through at least two bags a day while playing my favorite game, Fortnite Battle Royale.I wouldn't consider myself a pro, but I'm pretty good at waiting during the loading screens. Anyway I eat so many doritos that my normal keyboards get clogged up and stop working after a while...But not this one! The LED back light makes the crumbs glow in fancy colors and the switches keep clickity clacking no matter how much I slap the keys when I die.I cherish my Tartarus, along with my full-size Naruto Body pillow.

Playing on KBM from controller was a challenge so great, i was never able to get used to it with my laptop. My other digits use the keys for commands and im never lost with finger placement.It took less than a week to "master" and now any game i pick up , it's fluent.It's perfect for Fortnite and all of it's keys, Halo, Valorant, Apex. You can customize the keys to help with Photoshop and all digital sketching programs.I love this thing. Don't hesitate, buy it. You will not regret it.

And I have no reason to think that the other keys aren't going to soon fall out as well.In less than 3 months of use, this tartarus V2 has become pretty much unusable.I'm also getting pretty sick of Razer Synapse. Synapse tends to cause applications to crash whenever an update is published. At least synapse 1 could be told not to monitor for updates. Synapes 2 & 3 though, always on, always looking for updates, always ready to crash your applications to let you know about the update. Also, synapse will periodically lock in a directional key press (on the d-pad, mapped to wasd), and keep moving in that direction until you press the opposite movement direction. Been a rare (but annoying) bug in all versions of synapse. Just make the software work right, or give the devices a couple Mb of onboard memory for profiles. No one in their right mind would take a razer synapse product into esports without being bribed.The pro version *looks* like the switches are more durable. No idea how well those will hold up to dust accumulation under the keys though. Feel kinda like Razer is trying to tell me to re-learn the muscle memory of just using a keyboard :(I'm debating giving the pro version a chance. But this mechanical-membrane "thing" is garbage.Just make it membrane Razer. At least regular membranes work well and feel pretty decent for a couple years (which is about as long as Razer's mouse switches under the D-pads on these last anyway).I'm not overly nitpicky... I put up with orbweavers leaking glue, cleaned them up and reapplied the rubber pads with 'real' glue. I've used rubber cement to fix game pads (or even customize them). Compared to the belkin N52, the razer nostromo, the razer tartarus v1, and the orbweaver (all flavors), this iteration of the tartarus V2 with mecho-membrane switches is really, really bad.I did not register this product with razer when I got it. So I don't know if I can get warranty on it. But I *definitely* do not want a replacement of this model. That would be a waste of perfectly good shipping.

It’s super easy to set up and it uses Razer chroma lighting just like my mouse. I would recommend this to anyone who uses keyboard and mouse for gaming, art or video production, as it can be used to assign keys for production as well! If you are moving from an older Razer pad, be aware that the company does not provide a migration tool for your keybindings/macros. In the Orbweaver to Tartarus case, there is only one change, the scroll wheel replaced key twenty and even that has the keypress. If you have several profiles on an older pad, be prepared for the frustration of tracking down all your hard earned settings and manually reentering EVERYTHING. This is not a gimmick, if you come from a console-only gaming background, this controller is an absolute must have for PC gaming. While aiming is substantially better on mouse than controller, movement on a keyboard has always felt clunky and suboptimal. Using three fingers for an action that can be just as easily, if not better, performed by a thumb never made any sense to me. This is the perfect tool for anyone who finds keyboard movement difficult to master and uncomfortable to use. The only issue is you'll need to get used to jumping with something other than your thumb if you want to fully take advantage of the controller. I recommend the index finger.
Truly a great piece of kit for any PC gamer looking to become vastly more effective with their use of modifiers. Tip - put modifiers on the d-pad and use in combination with an effective mouse. The key on the Razer Tartarus V2 are mechanical, feel great to press and very easy to reach. The wrist rest also feels very natural and comfortable. The build quality is very good from what I've experienced so far and the software I found easy to get to grips with. The lighting is fully customizable too. 10/10
I have the old Belkein product (which razer bought the rights to many years ago)Mecha-membrane keyboard is surprisingly nice to the touch and press. Softer sounding when compared to full mechanical switches.It does work straight out of the box but you won't be able to change any key assignments or make any changes to the back lights.However, you will want to download and install Razers' "Synapse" software.Once done you can completely customise all key assignments plus a plethora of lighting options (lots of fancy schemes and dynamic light patterns)
