My 13yo daughter was diagnosed with osgood schlatter disease which is common in teen athletes who are still growing and play sports that involve a lot of running and jumping. The best explanation for the condition that I have seen is that the thigh bone (femur) grows too fast for the longest quad muscle (rectus femoris) to keep up. It results in the muscle pulling at its attachment site below the knee cap (the tibial tuberosity). The repeated stress causes swelling and irritation of the growth plate at the top of the shinbone and is extremely painful. My daughter was following a rehab course as prescribed by the physio but wasn’t noticing any significant improvement. Someone suggested we try RE3 and I called and spoke with Belinda who was so helpful in answering ... MoreMy 13yo daughter was diagnosed with osgood schlatter disease which is common in teen athletes who are still growing and play sports that involve a lot of running and jumping. The best explanation for the condition that I have seen is that the thigh bone (femur) grows too fast for the longest quad muscle (rectus femoris) to keep up. Obviously, there are other factors at play such as rest, growth patterns etc but we are convinced the recovery was hastened from the regular icing.Absolutely brilliant product. Cannot recommend it highly enough. 10/10 from us.

I rang before purchasing with the aim to clarify aspects for a bilateral total knee replacement (TKR). Not only were my questions answered, but additional information was provided. Excellent customer service. I bought the surgical pack and found the pack ideal for my bilateral TKR. The gel packs are more malleable to wrap around knees, and the gel seems colder than ice packs. The velcrose straps are great as they are long enough to provide stability with the pack not sliding up and down your legs. Although the packs are more expensive than alternatives, I think in the long run, I will have a good return on my investment

Bought this to assist with the recovery of my sons dislocated knee. It is brilliant, super fast deliver, great quality product and the travel pouch is very handy when travelling. My son reported that it was very comfortable to wear for long periods. Whilst it was super cold, it was very bearable and the coverage of the ice pack in the wrap assisted in getting the swelling and bruising out quickly. I was hesitant at first to purchase one and had been looking for a while as knee dislocations are common with my son. The RE3 wrap is the best thing we have used over the years, wish I knew of it sooner. It is definately worth the investment in your health to have one of these handy, especially as you can use it on any part of your leg or arm.

HiI appreciate the opportunity to express my disappointment with your productThe quality of the materials is very good but otherwise I found it to function poorlyFirstly it was too cold for me to tolerate when done up on my kneeI had to undo the brace and turn it over so the outside ( which is thicker material)was next to my skinThis made it useable and soothing but only functioning as an ice packSecondly straight from the freezer it developed some icey condensation on the outside of thr sleeveAnd thirdly I did it up as tightly as possible but on walking around the kitchen it continually slid downI have reverted to wearing my old knee brace again insteadThank you but this has been an expensive mistake
Currently recovering from arthroscope/meniscectomy…experiencing this total beast of a compression icer is ‘almost’ worth the idiotic ordeal of trashing my meniscus. (Learning to Melbourne Shuffle. At fifty six. Without the benefit of natural dance ability. Yes, it is was dad dancing at its hideous best, kids.)Spent 6 months pre-op faffing about with iced peas, Jerry-rigged Bundy coolers, gaffer tape and even a big sock with custom-shoelaced ice tray arrays. Got this, realised within days that the rapid anti-swelling/pain attributes of this kickarse ice monster made now the time to get it seen to properly at last. This product is brilliant, brilliantly made, and was brilliantly supplied (2 days, interstate, free). Can’t fault the entire consumer experience, RE3 ... MoreCurrently recovering from arthroscope/meniscectomy…experiencing this total beast of a compression icer is ‘almost’ worth the idiotic ordeal of trashing my meniscus. Can’t fault the entire consumer experience, RE3 have hit a real entrepreneurial bullseye in all respects. If you have a stuffed knee that routinely needs ice and compression, don’t waste time and energy looking for any better solution (outside an AIS elite machine icer!). For the average knackered joint sufferer, this is the biz. It’s the best $160 you’ll invest in a long time. Thanks to the RE3 team. You’ve got this so, so right. May you deservedly make a $squillion.
I have found this to be excellent after having a partial knee replacement. In hospital they used the ICEMAN which was good but it needed to me plugged in to a power point and you needed to add your own supply of ice both of which were useless to me.The RE3 has meant that I am able to ice my knee wherever I am. Having a second ice pack always in the freezer is a blessing. The brace is comfortable and very good quality. I would highly recommend the purchase of the RE3 Surgical Value pack for anyone having knee surgery - but for those unlucky enough to require a knee replacement this is a necessity.Amazing for pain control and decreasing swelling.Highly recommend.
Outstanding customer service. The owner called me up in less than 5 minutes of making a query online after purchasing it. Belinda is a genuine, honest and personable business owner. I had a cartilage graft on my knee 20 years ago and recently another operation to remove 33mm of calcified cartilage that disintegrated from the graft. This has already bought me major relief and I take it with me when working in an esky with other gel packs to keep the RE3 icecore blankets cold & I use when required. throughout my day. Can also use the compression brace without the ice pack. Support this Australian business!
I purchased both the Knee and Shoulder packs with extra gel pack on each. I have been using for 1 month now, a few comparisons to help new buyers.1. Compared to each other the shoulder pack seems to have more gel than the knee and stay colder for longer which is a shame as the knee being the bigger joint needs that extra cold time.2. Both packs seem to get colder quicker and stay there compared to my previous ice mate ice pack but not really for as long or as it’s marketed.I do find that the gel packs require about 2-3 days to completely freeze but this is not ideal with my icing requirements, meaning they don’t stay as cold as they could, the only saving grace is I have the extra gel pack for both, but still not ideal. If I had a fridge with an ice maker then I could see the ice mate ice pack would be the better purchase at a 1/3 of the price. I don’t have an ice maker and it’s a pain to buy ice all the time.If there is a super special on gel packs and free freight I might end up getting another for each which will give me a solution. But until then it can only be worth 3 stars.
The RE3 Surgical Pack is a well made, well designed product to allow quick and easy application of ice to the knee - or other areas of the body. The Brace is made of neoprene and sturdily constructed with wide, ergonomically designed straps to hold it in place with or without the "ice" insert. It fits a wide range of sizes due to its elasticity.I have struggled to get the chilled insert at a "Goldilocks" temperature. Taken from the freezer where it was left overnight, it is simply too cold and causes pain, despite extra layers between my skin and the brace. It is also very heavy when in place. Pictures showing a man wearing it while walking around are not reproducible by me. It is simply too heavy for that. But the good news is - that's not why I bought it. I am in the immediate post operative period after my knee replacement and am doing a lot of leg elevation with ice in place. Happily we discovered that if the chilled insert is placed overnight in the fridge - not the freezer - it is a good temperature for comfort and relief without being TOO cold. Having the second insert available to take over when the first has become warm is a real advantage.
