I bought mine true to size as I have a fairly narrow fit.I’m very pleased with them. They look beautiful and I look forward to breaking them in slowly and enjoy the boot for years to come.

There’s boots truly last a lifetime trust me. My second pair. I still wear my first pair. They do seem to have sized them up quite a bit since though . You could probably go down a whole size and they’d fit perfectly. I went a half size down and they aren’t as snug as my old pair.
I am in love with everything about these boots. The color is even more pleasing in person. They really pop in the sunlight. The quality of my pair is excellent. These boots feel like once they are broken in, will be my favorite pair. The break-in is so far a little rougher on my ankle/achilles areas but I expect that once the leather softens a bit, they'll provide nice ankle support. If anyone's on the fence about buying these because of the cost, in my opinion they were completely worth the money and I'm very satisfied with what I got for the money.
Great quality, VERY difficult to get on and off without a shoe horn as the leather is stiff and the tongue is sewn in almost to the top and so its quite tricky to feed your foot into the boot. But once on they are comfortable and are extremely well made. Only concern is how long the rather soft sole material will last and whether it can be replaced at a shoe repairers. But - i think they are a great buy.
A really high quality boot. I suspect the vast majority of users will be wearing them as a fashion statement rather than using them as work boots. A very high quality upper with tough leather and great stitching. It took a couple of weeks to break in as they're narrow fitting. I had some skin irritation at the top of the boot so had to wear them loose and unlaced. An ideal winter boot.
I have a pair of these boots in black which are now about 20 years old which is a testament to their quality and durability. The soles are wearing out now but as the thick leather uppers are still in excellent condition I imagine any good cobbler will be able to replace the stitched soles and give them a new lease of life. They aren't cheap to buy but in my opinion, could last a lifetime if looked after so highly recommended to the discerning buyer.
lovely leather, red is a bit too bright, recommend apply conditioner first to get a darker color
I bought my 8131's 5 and half years ago in Los Angeles before they discontinued them in the US. I just started wearing them in the last month regularly and I am kicking myself for waiting so long to start wearing them. They have been siting in my closet and the whole time. Now I am looking for every chance to wear them. I have already picked out the next pair of soles for them the Irish Setter Prairie Sole.
