Built to last. This Aussie made Steel Toe work boot constructed from 2.5 to 2.7mm thick leather is 20% stronger than normal work boots and well over minimum international standard. The full chrome, oiled tannage means your boots are more resistant to hardening and cracking and hold their shape longer. Redback boots are made by the traditionally preferred cement lasted method whereby the leather is wrapped under the insole and fused under heat and pressure with high tech Polyester and Polamide molten sealant/adhesive. The Anatomic sole profile is designed to reduce arch flexion (sagging), subsequent foot fatigue and referred leg and back ache.

Excellent value. I shopped around A LOT. I tried on boots in three different shops, lots of different brands and these were by far the best for under $200. They hug my feet way better than that other big brand and there wasn't really any 'breaking in' needed (no blisters, etc).I balance a lot of sharp boards on them so they have got a few small slashes on the toe but for the price i can't complain.I got them on sale too so if I have them for say 2 years, it works out at like a dollar a week! Also workwearhub delivered them asap, very impressed.

The boot is, I'm sure, super comfortable, well built and will last a long time, depending on use. But even if you're hard on boots, it takes a lot to wear them out.The reason I say "I'm sure" is because Galls shipped me the wrong size. And they're out of my size until June. And no one answers the phone at the local store. And it took several tries and a long time explaining being put on hold just to get the answer that they are out of stock. That deserves one star. But, Galls said they would make it right, that's TBD.But I can speak with knowledge, because I own three other versions of this boot. The Puma Brown Aquapel, the Outback, and the Bobcat Claret Oil Kip (this is the exact same boot as the black one reviewed here, just a different color. The Puma Brown Aquapel, the Outback, and the Bobcat Claret Oil Kip (this is the exact same boot as the black one reviewed here, just a different color. I've had that pair 5 years- still going strong, water still beads off).Check out "Blundstone Killer" boot review online by Rose Anvil. He literally saws this boot in half so you can see how it's made. He has access to wear all kinds of boots, and he rated this one as most comfortable of all.Standing for 10 to 12 hours on indoor floors, concrete or asphalt? No problem. I've stood even longer than that with no foot fatigue and no burning feeling at the ball of your foot.Walking 8 to 10 miles a day, at times carrying a load? No issues & feet feel springy at the end of the day.Standing outside in hot sun on pavement over 100 degrees? No problem, these soles are rated to 300 degrees F.Inclement weather? No problem. Especially if you treat these before wearing with Obenauf's leather protection, the water beads right off. The Vulcan sole will never let water between where the shoe leather meets the midsole. I re-reat them whenever sun, dirt, etc. breaks it down and it stops beading water. Never had wet socks. Just don't go into water deeper than the side stretch panels-those are not water proof. So while Redback can't claim these as "waterproof " because there is no liner, I'm telling you, with treatment, they are. I know some guys that don't treat the boots and they still don't get wet feet. TIP: I wouldn't use any petroleum based, mink oil, snow seal or animal-based leather treatment because that will deteriorate the leather where it meets the Vulcan sole. Also because you don't have a liner, they breathe better and are far more comfortable in warmer temps. My feet don't get hot ! In summer, I wear Danner Hot Weather TFX Drymax black crew socks. For colder temps, I wear wool socks.Caveat: I wear Hapad Comforthotic (Athletic, green color) insoles vs. the insoles that come with the boots. The stock insole is pretty chintzy, without a lot of support. Redback knows this and offers a better insole. I tried it, but it's not as good as the Hapads.Hapads are inexpensive; have great arch & heel support/cushion; have a slight more padding just in front of your metatarsals (ball of foot). This subtle "metatarsal lift" takes the brunt of the G force with every step you take - relieving your metatarsal from the full impact of each step. Your feet will impress on the Hapad insole, making it your custom-like orthotic. These help with plantar fasciitis, too.For sure, even without better insoles, this boot is still far more comfortable than any work boot I've ever worn.I asked, and these have a no slip rating and a safety rating. You can call the USA Redback distributor to get a copy. I needed a shoe with a safety rating for a job and these were accepted. www.redbackboots.com is the distributor.Yes, I'd recommend you try them.

I finally decided to give these a try since most people at work use them. I work long 12hrs shifts and need comfy boots my 5.11 are three years old and needed a replacement. I was happy to try these they look great seems to have a good quality finish, the sole is very comfy but the edges of the boot are too stiff and they bother me around my calf. I hope they get better with time.

Not only did the first pair give up with the first few steps but the second and third pairs gave out in the same way.Purchased new from a large outdoor specialty store in Darwin. All 3 pairs of these boots gave out in the sole.Soles split and then proceeded to disgorge the internals of inside the sole .After the first 2 pairs were replaced by the store , I didn’t bother to return the 3 rd pair… just so over it.Supposedly made in Australia, yeah well, it’s something I would never have expected.Shame all round.
I bought these boots for my husband. He wears them everyday for at least 12 hours per day and finds them very comfortable. It's also a very good looking boot! The online buying experience with trappers was very convenient and streamlined. I really liked the whatsapp feature where I got ongoing feedback about my order. Delivery was quick and all round positive experience shopping online with trappers. Thanks very much!
These boots are great. Comfortable, a distinct look, and well-built.Trappers' automated communications were quick to update me with the relevant information for my order, and the shoes arrived the next day despite their estimate being for over a week later.Great experience overall.
Originally wanted a pair of Doc Martin Chelsea Boots but was persuaded to buy these instead on a recommendation from a friend. I was not disappointed! Normally I am a size 5.5 but a size 5 fits perfectly. The boots are so comfortable having a padded insole and they gripped really well on slippy surfaces. The boots are extremely well made of high quality materials.
Well made band, was recommended by a work colleague. Usually a size 9 in closed in shoes, so I got the equivalent in a 6.5, it was too tight. Went a half size up and there was a noticeable difference, bit too loose but manageable.Exchange proceedure was very straight forward.
Got these for my EMS job. They are more expensive than others you can find, but these were the only boots of this style that made my size (women's 7). So far they are very comfortable for walking and standing for long hours. They do take a bit of time to break in as the part around the ankles was very stiff for a while, but otherwise, I am very pleased with them. A few of my coworkers have had these same boots for 5+ years and they are still in great shape.
