Very happy with the results of this shampoo and conditioner. I have very long, fine 2c/3a hair that’s super frizzy and tangles easily. I’ve been testing other anti-frizz products and haven’t found anything that ACTUALLY worked so my expectations weren’t high for this one either. But so far, this is working great and way better than any other anti-frizz duo I’ve ever tried. Both the shampoo and conditioner are THICK which is every frizzy haired girls dream. I wouldn’t say it completely gets rid of all frizz, but my hair is silkier and I can actually let it naturally air dry without looking like Hermione Granger which is all I can ask for. The scent is ok. It smells like generic shampoo, but it doesn’t linger so I don’t really care. The size is great and will last me ... MoreVery happy with the results of this shampoo and conditioner. Only complaint about the bottle is the top is a little loose. And because the product is so thick, it takes a little extra oomph to get it out and then the bottle stays squeezed. I don’t know if it’s just the type of plastic they used or what, but it’s a little annoying if you are easily annoyed by those types of things lol. Regardless of those very nitpicky complaints, Would hands down repurchase.

I rarely ever review any products but feel the need to review this and share my experience. I purchased this along with the Redken conditioner to match and began using it in the spring of this year. At the same time I was going back to school and had a couple life changes happening. My hair is thin and fine and to my horror I began losing massive amounts of hair in the shower and when brushing my hair. I was mortified! I have never had something like this happen to me before. I thought it had to be the stress of going back to school or the changes I had going on. I did not want to throw away shampoo and conditioner this expensive. Finally in desperation, I purchased my go to shampoo and conditioner and within a week or two the hair loss stopped and was back to the normal amount I typically lose. What a relief! A month to 6 weeks after I stopped using this shampoo and conditioner, I had baby hairs spiking all over my head. While I am happy they're growing back I am so sad I waited so long to stop using this. My hair looks wild now with regrowth poking straight up in the air, I have fairly long hair so I am embarking on a long journey of patience here. This shampoo may be great for some people, but be cautious because for me, it was the worst!!

The product I recv'd was a counterfeit. it smelled like cheap men's cologne, it felt awful on my hair, and the packaging was not normal. By that, I mean that there was a hard plastic shrink-wrapped around the top that was near impossible to open and when I did, it actually cut me. then there was a disk inside the top that had a little pull tab. Well, it was glued down so that the tab ripped and it took me 5 minutes using my teeth, scissors, fingers, a pen... to get it open. What a struggle to finally have it open and be happy to finally use a nice $32 bottle of Redken, to preserve my hair color, only to find it to be nauseating. Bummer. wrote to seller and will update review if they are responsive, to be fair.

This conditioner is great. It really helps with the hair frizz that drives me crazy in FL. I used it with their shampoo so the combination of the two products might be key. But I think the conditioner works good on its own too. But the bottle top is a problem. I couldn't get the product to come out so I removed the flip top cover and believe this will work. I just won't be able to travel with it unless I put it in a different container. The reason I tried this product is because my hair dresser used it on my last visit. Otherwise, I would not have bought it because it is pricy. I shopped around and Walmart had the best price. Summer is coming so I am hoping my big hair will not make an appearance. Fingers crossed.
I have naturally very dark hair, which I had black box dye on. I recently went to a new stylist (absolutely love her) and she transformed my hair into the perfect dimensional "bronde" that truly is stunning and suits me perfectly. She did an amazing job of preserving my hair health all things considered, and I did not lose any length other than a quick trim and fixing up my layers but I had noticed that my hair was just a little more dry and tangly than it usually is, and I was using the Redken Extreme Length set, which is still amazing but after using the color magnetic I am HOOKED. First of all, this smells absolutely amazing, like if they made a perfume of this scent I would buy it in a heartbeat. Secondly, this cleans my hair without stripping it, I am able to detangle my hair in the shower just using a wet brush while the conditioner sits in it and there is no pain or breakage, and when my hair dries it is so soft, shiny, not weighed down, and honestly just glows. And it doesn't irritate my sensitive scalp!! All in all this is amazing! I use the Color magnetics shampoo, conditioner, and One United leave in with the olaplex #7 bonding oil and I have truly never been happier! BUY IT!!!
I switched from Pureology hydrate shampoo/conditioner to Redken Color Extend Magnetics because the Pureology was "too hydrating" for me in the summer. I would need to wash my hair every day and it still felt heavy by the end of the day. Like many folks who color & highlight, my hair is much dryer at the ends. With Redken I only need to wash hair every 3 days. I apply a bit of Bb hairdresser's oil from mid-shaft to ends and I have the perfect level of cleaning/hydration.I have had no problem with hair loss, but I have thick medium texture straight hair, so it would take a lot of loss before I noticed. No problem with hair tangling either as some others have posted, as long as I use the conditioner in generous amounts. As far as lathering, yes I found the first shampoo doesn't lather much but it lathers much more with second shampoo. Also noticed that lather increases greatly at some hotels, so I'm thinking water hardness is probably a factor in how much/little lather you get.Overall my experience has been positive and I will continue to use this shampoo/conditioner combo until my hair get's "used to it"; like all other products I've used, eventually the products seem to not remove sufficient oil and I have to switch to a different brand for awhile to get back to status quo. Maybe it is slow build up that I experience - don't know.
I have chemically treated platinum blonde hair. I wanted to try out a new shampoo. Noticed results right after I used this shampoo and conditioner once. Usually my hair looks a little dull while wet, but after using this my hair was so vibrant and shiny even while it was still wet. Definitely made my platinum blonde look more vibrant. It softened my hair up and made it shiny when it dried. Scent is nice, a very clean fresh scent. Will continue to use!
I've been using this product for years, and it always works great for my highlighted hair. Color Magnetics Shampoo and Conditioner are both Sulfate and Paraben Free and my color lasts much longer than other products for colored hair that contain Sulfates and Parabens. It has a fabulous scent and the results are always great. Leaves my hair soft and manageable, with no residue left behind. I would never use anything else. It's the best Professional Salon product for colored hair I've ever used. Highly recommend. It only takes a small amount of shampoo. For those out there complaining about greasy or stringy hair, you could be using too much product. It only takes a small amount of shampoo with plenty of water to activate it. Always make sure that you rinse your hair ... MoreI've been using this product for years, and it always works great for my highlighted hair. i didn't like this shampoo the first 2 times i tried it because of the top two complaints: greasy roots and hair feels tangled after shampooing in the showergrease: this is to be expected with an acidic shampoo. chemically, it just cannot remove as much oil as a conventional alkaline or neutral pH shampoo. my shortish fringe bangs would be noticeably greasy by the second day, and i prefer to shampoo my hair every 3-4 days. i just shampoo only my bangs a second time in the shower and bam, no more greasy bangs. over time, my scalp has adjusted and the only time my bangs are noticeably greasy by day 2 is after trimming them shorter.tangled: in the shower, immediately post-shampoo, my hair feels a little tangled, but that's what conditioner is for. once my hair is ... Morei didn't like this shampoo the first 2 times i tried it because of the top two complaints: greasy roots and hair feels tangled after shampooing in the showergrease: this is to be expected with an acidic shampoo. chemically, it just cannot remove as much oil as a conventional alkaline or neutral pH shampoo. my shortish fringe bangs would be noticeably greasy by the second day, and i prefer to shampoo my hair every 3-4 days. i just shampoo only my bangs a second time in the shower and bam, no more greasy bangs. over time, my scalp has adjusted and the only time my bangs are noticeably greasy by day 2 is after trimming them shorter.tangled: in the shower, immediately post-shampoo, my hair feels a little tangled, but that's what conditioner is for. once my hair is conditioned and dry, it's soft, shiny, bouncy, and the natural wave is very defined. i do not use any other products or heat style my hair.i dye the top, or outermost, layer of my hair with demi-permanent dark brown dye and the under layer is bleached and dyed teal/green with arctic fox dye. this acidic shampoo does a great job keeping the cuticle closed and preventing color fading of both dyes. it makes the bleached and dyed hair soft, even the ends.if you want to preserve your hair color, lengthen the time between dye touch-ups, and also enhance your natural wave or curl, give this shampoo more than just 1-2 tries before you write it off.
I originally bought this because I wanted to my hair color to last longer. I did not notice any significant changes to seeing my color last longer even though I was using cold water and not washing my hair as much as I used to. However, I have long thick curly hair and this made my hair extremely hard to brush. I would detangle it and as soon as I would try and brush it again a few minutes later, more knots popped up and it felt never ending arm workout. Not to mention that after my hair dried, it would feel so brittle and dry and damaged, almost like plastic. The smell Is definitely strong but tolerable for me at least. I switched to the extreme recovery line by redken and my hair is feeling much better.
