Excellent for damaged hair! I used this in conjunction with the conditioner and Extreme Anti Snap Leave In Treatment. The combination made a huge difference to my hair: split ends, texture, snapping and frizz, all reduced. Tried using them separately and got decent results but more so when using together. If my hair is heat damaged again I will re-purchase. Lathers well and smells lovely. Just be careful not to use too frequently as this helps to get protein back in the hair but there is only so much protein treatment the hair can tolerate, a saturation point, after which hair can become brittle/dry and snap. This will bring it back, atleast to some degree. As for price, it is slightly steep. I'm sure there is a product out there, comparable to this, but I haven't found it yet. I will say though, this gem has definitely brought out more of my natural hair then anything ever has, meaning that my waves are easier to appear. I use this about two to three times a week, basically after every shampoo, and condition. I towl dry for a few moments, to get the excess out, then I use about 1, to 2 pumps, sometimes 3, or 4 depending, and I try my best to equal it out through my hair. But, I make sure to save a pump for my ends, which I do last, so I can make sure to give them special attention, since they are still slightly damaged. If you've bleached recently, get this! If you wear tight buns alot, get this!! If you use heat products on your hair, get this!! It also smells good!! And if you use about a pump, or two, or three every time, it will last. I think the one I'm currently using has lasted me about 6 or so months now? Maybe more, but I have shorter hair. I'm sorry this review is so long, I also want to mention that someone on here mentioned it helps with hair loss, I had completely forgot about that, as I realize, since I started using this, I have seen less hair loss, although I still lose quite a bit, but the amount is definitely less.

Do not buy!

I have thick hair with a lot of volume and after using this shampoo and conditioner my hair started to fall out in big chunks! I started doubting my health and I was an emotional mess. Until my 12 year old daughter decided to use it and her hair fell out too! More than usual... then i decided to research and it turns out we aren't the only ones. They really should look into these products and remove them. Playing with people's emotions is not good; I am at peace knowing im not sick. Please do not buy. I do have processed her but my daughter has virgin hair just in case you were wondering.

The Redken brand was recommended to me by a coworker so I decided to give it a try. My natural hair typically loves pantene but since having it straightened, my hair doesn't respond well to that anymore either. Nothing has been working. So I gave this a try the other day and literally for the first time since summer of 2022 I was able to easily wash and detangle my hair with my current situation (having 2 textures of coily hair combined with damaged straight hair). Not only was I able to truly detangle my hair from the first time (from root to tip) but I noticed A LOT LESS breakage when washing with this shampoo and the mask than I would normally have during my normal routine using my regular shampoo and conditioner. Mind you, the pantene I normally use has been what I've been using since about 2015.When I tried this shampoo I replaced the conditioner with the mask instead which may have helped with the results too, I'm not sure. But I will continue to use this product and see if I get even better results over time. If you have damaged hair and have been struggling definitely give this a try. I'm so glad I did. I feel like if I continue to use this line then I may not have to do a huge chop and cut off several inches of my hair. We shall see.I was skeptical at first because there were so many negative reviews compared to positive reviews even though the ratings were high so I was very nervous to spend $100 on 3 hair products but I am so glad I did.

Not for every day use.

I started using the shampoo/conditioner combo in February. Pretty soon after, I noticed that my hair was brittle and dry, and it was beginning to break off. I was very confused as I have used Redken products before and had never had any issues. I also was having a very difficult time brushing my hair after washing/conditioning. I actually went into Ulta to talk to them about my hair, and I was educated that this combo should not be used as an every day shampoo, it should be used more of as a treatment. I have not used it for over a week and my hair has stopped falling out. I don't want to give it a bad review because it may work as a treatment, but it does not work for every day hair washing and conditioning. I was so grateful to the Ulta employee for thr hair lesson!

The only reason I need this now is Bc of using redken for the past 2 years. I had went on vacation and bought travel side shea moisture & the Marc Anthony leave in. My hair had never felt softer !!!! Then I came home & used my redken shampoo & conditioner. My softness did not come back & it was completely dry & hoarse like - even with my leave in. Then I bought shea moisture for my next shower & washed my hair. The softness came back & my hair looked and felt healthy again. So in conclusion, if you are to buy this shampoo, I advise to only use it once or twice a month for a "deep cleaning" ... redken products are filled with sulfates, even though they swear they aren't. Literally just turn the bottle around and you will see about 2-3 different sulfates. Go buy that $7 shampoo bc redken ain't it hun, trust me..

This saved my hair!

I have very long, thick hair. My hair reaches almost my bottom and any time I go to my stylist, we need to thin my hair out because it's so thick. I typically buy drugstore shampoo to save money. Normally a 2 in 1. I was getting so fed up because my hair was coming out in clumps when I would brush it. It was so dry, damaged, and full of build up from the other shampoos. I finally caved and bought this shampoo and the leave in conditioner. Literally after the first wash I saw an immediate change. My husband even asked what I did different. The following morning my hair was so soft, shiny, and bouncy. I received a lot of compliments and I was able to keep it down all day! I'm OBSESSED and I love the smell. I actually look forward to doing my hair now!

This stuff truly helps repair damaged hair!

This shampoo actually does what it says. When I first bought this, my hair was damaged and dry and the ends were very dead. My hair lady told me I needed to find something more hydrating bc my hair was struggling. I bought this shampoo hoping for the best and it did deliver. I've used it for maybe 2 or 3 months and I recently had a hair appointment and my hair dresser commented on how much better/healthier my hair looked! I used this blue bottle along with the ultra soft conditioner (the gold bottle). My only complaint with this shampoo is that it makes my hair pretty greasy by the second or third day (I think because it's so hydrating). I'm sure a good dry shampoo would help with that. Zero stars if I could

I bought the shamooo and conditioner because my hair dresser suggested it and the reviews were mostly outstanding. Unfortunately I fell into the small group of people that do not like it at all. Here was my experience after using it twice. I had triple the amount of hair loss in the shower. My hair felt extremely tangled. I use a wet comb after the shower and comb from bottom up. My hair felt like a sticky clumpy mess. During the comb out process I lost another full handful of hair. It felt sticky and stretchy during the blow dry. My hair felt ok after it was dry but tangles easily. My scalp is also very very itchy and flakes. My scalp has never been dry before. I will never buy this again. I'm thankful for ultas hassle free return policy. Sad that I lost SO much hair!
