I had a pair of Reef flip flops maybe 20 years ago and wore them completely out. I used to show off the bottle opener in the sole, LOL! I have never had a pair as comfy and serviceable since way back then. My new Reef slippas came and were just right, so comfy from the start. I am elated to get another pair - it's worth the wait. I should have bought some way sooner. I have tried many brands and nothing compares to Reef Sandals for me. Try them, you'll love them!

I buy at least 1 pair of these every year, I must have all the available colors but prefer the Blues, Greens and Blacks over the Browns, nevertheless these are a daily wear for me from now (Sept/Oct) right through to about late April. Great support in the heel, I like the thick bands on the top, fantastic around the pool, light gardening, gym, evening wear and even going out for a meal. One downfall these days is that I drink from mostly cans these days !!

Purchased for my husband for father’s day and he hasn’t worn any other flip flop since.He wears size 9.5 or 10 depending on brand. I purchased a 10 and the fit was perfect in length. He has wide feet causing the fit to be a bit snug at first but the material is soft and shoe was still comfortable.We live on a river so grippy soles are important for maneuvering across the boulders both dry and wet.Caution,The bottle opener can be slick if you use that section of your foot for climbing. Easy to adjust where you step for safe climbing so not a deal breaker. Overall great sandal.

Love Fanning style. All my family has worn them for years. Soles won't leave black marks on decks or floors. Opener comes in handy on beach and camping. Cushioning is great for older feet.
Logo on heel is extremely uncomfortable after just a few minutes. Buy the leather sandals from reef, go for a higher priced leather because it won’t be texturized and cause the bottom of your feet to look like braille. The quality of reef products has gone down a lot since the company agreed to be acquired by the Rockport shoes parent company. I don’t recommend. I’m not crazy about the fanning style, idk how it is their most popular option, it’s so uncomfortable and the shape of the sandal is odd.
I live in Florida. It’s no secret, it’s hot AF. A good pair of Sandals is pretty much required along with a nice set of shades. I’ve worn many brands, Reef Fannings are my gotos. Comfortable, stylish and durable. I go fishing, to the beach, walk all day, even garden. Easy to rinse off and keep going and they stay looking new. On my second pair because my first pair were lost tragically during a move. Wore them all the time and the looked like new 3 years later. Bought a cheaper brand at first as replacements and less than 3 months and they are destroyed, $35 down the drain. $60 may seem a little high for sandals. But I will happily pay up for fanning any day.
I have had 3 pairs of Fannings and each pair has fallen apart within 2 years. The last pair only lasted 16 months. The side straps pull out from the sole and cannot be reattached so I end up throwing them away. There doesn’t appear to be any stitching that holds the straps in place on the sides. Perhaps they’re glued? At least to me, $65 is a lot to spend on a pair of disposable flip flops considering I have had other brands costing half as much that I’ve worn for years. I may try other styles from Reef in the future but I will avoid the Fannings due to poor quality/design.
I've had these Reef flip flops over a year now. I'm retired and live in Florida, so I wear them about half the time. So, these have about 6 months of continuous use for me. That's probably years of use for most people. One reason I bought them is my old flip flops were dangerously slick on wet concrete. These have tread and are decently grippy. The tread is still good over about 90% of the sole. The soles are kind of thick and stiff at first, but they became very comfortable. No sign of failure yet. They have gotten a little thin near the toes. The bottle opener on the bottom is a gimick. If I ever go to a 1960s beach party, it might be handy.
This is my 3rd pair of the Fanning model over the years. They get worn but never seem to get worn out even after heavy use. Also, I purchase a half size up. They are tried and true. I like the cool design and they’re well made. They have what I call a firm cushion in the heel and good grip for the foot. They are the best flip flops for everyday use and real walking in the city not just the beach.
I was a service member a long time ago. I deployed to the Middle East during the Gulf War and I started taking better care of my feet.I was teased by my friends about my feet back then. I might have carbon dated myself mentioning the Gulf War conflict in 1990~1991.Sadly, if we couldn’t take care of ourselves we couldn’t not complete our mission.My feet always felt so fatigued in my every day life. Every chance I get I am always taking off my shoes to just simply decompress.I bring my Reef everywhere I go in my carry all bags.I purchased several pairs 4 my lover, lol. Give these Mick Fanning sandals a go. You will not be disappointed. By several pairs also, and of course rotate them out.
