These were suggested my my ophthalmologist. No preservatives whatsoever. But the biggest thing is a last. A drop or two in each eye goes in a little thick, but within 2 to 3 minutes your eye is completely moisturized and stays moisturize. I have chronic dry I am not able to afford the procedures that might help, but this takes care of it. I use it morning or night, and if I have to be outside for an extended period of time, I will sometimes use it in the middle of the day. I’ve been. Amazed at how well it works. Worth every penny.

My eye doctor recommended a preservative free gel drop for nighttime use. This is a thick gel and I find two drops per eye is sufficient. I have been using it for a month, two drops each eye at bedtime. I like to apply moist heat eye mask after inserting the drops. Celluvisc has been helping me. I am getting better relief from this formula than my previous brand that I used for years. Thicker formula drops are best used before sleeping. I do not like this product for daytime use. I am using the Refresh Digital PF during the day and love it. For now, I have abandoned my two former eye drop brands in favor of these Refresh preservative free drops - happier.

These drops help with my nighttime dry eye. I don’t think my eyelids form a tight seal while I sleep. I use these before falling asleep and often again, if I wake up in the middle of the night. They have helped more than any other brand and I have tried dozens. No irritating preservatives or ingredients for my sensitive eyes. The reason for 4 stars is because there’s not a consistent amount in every vial. Sometimes I can put two drops in each eye and sometimes I barely can squeeze out one drop for each eye. Also, the price is too high.

After being fitted for Prose lenses, I had a hard time seeing after a few hours due to the mucous build up inside the lens. I have GVHD, so a common issue. My doctor told me to apply 3 drops into each lens and then fill the rest of the lens with whatever I use regularly. I use either normal saline or Scleral Fill. One dropper has exactly 6 drops in total. When I take out my lenses the mucous is still there, but the Celluvisc pushes it to the side so I can see.
I am only writing this review because in my opinion these drops are terrible. An ophthalmologist suggested I use them before bedtime. I don’t know why I bought a second box because I didn’t like them on my first time buying them. I guess I tried them again because I didn’t use them every night. I would use them once every three or four nights. They BURN going in AND my eyes were always crusty in the morning. Plus, uncomfortable throughout the days that I used them. I thought maybe that was supposed to happen. I only tried one or two vials in this new box and I refuse to use or buy anymore. I must say, this brand of artificial tear drops that are safe for lasik are really good. I use those often. However, these gel drops are completely horrible!
I must use eye drops for dry eye and need a more robust product at night than those I use during the day. I avoid preservatives due to allergies and many of the drops available have preservatives, especially the gel and ointment for night time use. I had used Celluvisc for many months and then tried ointment as directed by the doctor. I couldn't find ointments without preservatives (also his directive) so I went back to Celluvisc. It's not perfect but the best I know of right now.
First of all these eyedrops come in little separate packets —tubes actually—-each small tube containing enough eyedrops for dosing both eyes every time you use them. The little tube dispenser may be opened and drops applied without worry or concern about the tip of the eyedrop applicator contaminating one’e eye —because itיs an individual dose, it will never accidentally have come into contact with any other surface before you open it, as is not the case with bottled drops which are used many times before the bottle discarded! That’s the reason I prefer this delivery system over the standard bottle. These eyedrops can be kept in purse or pocket easily..I have have “Dry Eyes” because I use AC or fans in my house Year round, except January and February—but I think ... These eyedrops can be kept in purse or pocket easily..I have have “Dry Eyes” because I use AC or fans in my house Year round, except January and February—but I think these were made with ppl who are post-surgery in mind. But my eye doc has approved these REFRESH drops for me even though I have never had eye surgery.I highly recommend them and have been using them for nearly 10 years. Not only recommend these in gel form but also the **regular REFRESH lubricating drops, which come in the same size package except the colors on the front of the box are blue and green instead of blue and violet —-> for anyone who may be interested.Appreciate the store brand products whenever I find that they measure up to the name brand product, but in this case, recommend REFRESH because have tried other brands as well as store brand, and there is something lacking in all except REFRESH.. Regarding Restasis—for example— neither my spouse nor I could even open the bottle! AN EXPENSIVE WASTEFUL EXPERIENCE which I still feel perturbed about! In store brand drops for purpose of lubricating eyes, there is about 30% less liquid per each container and the delivery system is not as well-made as the REFRESH.. Each of the other brands does not measure up to REFRESH, from the point of view of this Walmart Shopper..Again I really recommend the REFRESH brand as shown here!!
My eyes dry out, but not very often. These have worked quite well to moisturize my eyes. I love that they come in individual tubes so that I can have a sanitary one each time. I only need them every once in a while, so when I have the bottle version I actually worry if its still safe because you are supposed to use it pretty quickly and germs/bacteria build up on it over time. With these, that's no longer a concern because I can open a brand-new individual tube each time.
I've been using these for at least a decade. They are the most important part of my dry-eye routine. Friends, whoI've recommended them to, always complain about how thick and sticky they are. That is true, but that's why they work. I put a couple drops in each eye right before I close my eyes for the night. I always have several vials on my nightstand. I feel like they seal my eye shut for the night, which also helps my dry eye because it holds the lubricant in and keeps my eyes from opening a tiny bit, which my ophthalmologists says also can contribute to dry eye. As needed, during the day, I'll carefully add a drop in the corner of each eye and then tilt my head to let the drop run across the surface of my eye, but not get in my lashes and mess up my mascara. I used to wake up with very blood shot eyes and my eyes would get so irritated during the day. These drops are my lifesaver. I always have a few vials with me - in all my purses, in the car, in every room of the house so whenever my eyes get upset, I have relief quickly available. The only drawback is they're expensive. I reuse every vial... just cap it and use again. The manufacturer may say not to do that, because they have to. But honestly, I do it all the time and have never had an issue. One more thing... my eyes are super sensitive and get angry with most drops... especially those with preservatives. I love that these are preservative-free (which, I understand is why they're in individual vials). Please never stop making them!!!
I have been diagnosed with dry eyes, in my early 60's and have used several dry eye products, staying clear of products with main ingredient of vinyl chloride or propylene glycol, and stick with main ingredient of carboxymethylocellolose. I liked the idea of a thicker product, so I gave this a try and it works great. The reason I gave this product 2 stars is because of the delivery system. The plastic vials are very difficult to squeeze the product out into your eyes due to the thick surface tension of the drops. Much of the product is wasted as it refuses to empty out of the squeezable vial. The vial needs to be redesigned for this thicker type of eye drop.
