Used at home for mixing. I have used a friend's RedWave headphones in a club environment and they were loud enough on stage. The Redphone is comfortable when holding to my ear with shoulder. It is loud enough without having to max out my headphone output. I can hear the important notes i.e. the snares and the kick drums. Sound overall is very good. Construction is solid and appears durable. The actual headphone itself appears to be just a bit oversized to my eye however, I can live with that. I'm happy with my purchase.

Cueing, Mixing at ease.

As a DJ you're always looking for any piece of equipment that will make your job a bit easier. My numark redphone does that. The redphone is lightweight & has great sound quality. Ive seen immediate results in cueing up songs & blending tracks. While I have had no problems, I am a little worried on how long it will last. I have had problems with Numark gear in the past. Though, I am hopeful that I will be wrong with this particular purchase.

Fantastic design, horrible execution
16 August 2024

I really wanted to love this, it looks great, but sounds horrible. I use it only for a demo station at our DJ School, next to other models. You would be better off buying a used V Moda or Audio Techinica, remove the attached ear cup, and just use that. Sounds much better and LOUDER in a club than this!

Great Product...

Great product for the money... Light weight, great sound and allows the perfect mobility to keep DJ's engaged with what the audience is feeling! The only addition I would make is a longer, more ergonomic handle... Thanks B&H for the fast turnaround shipping time... Very timely!

Nice Throwback Piece

There is nothing like a one-off lollipop headphone, but this fits the bill. Nice curve and large ear pad add to the unit. Sound is clean and it has an XLR connection that should last.

It works really well. Just as good as the Technics model. Very happy. Love working with it. Only drawback the curly cord. Preferred a straight one. Easy to change out. Lol.

Works good, seems too big.

Works as advertised. To handle seems too big IMO, but not a deal breaker. Overall I like it.

I've been using a pair of Pioneer HDJ-2000s for the last 2 years and they have been great. I had a back-up pair of headphones that were on their last legs so I picked up Redphone as a backup. Well, after Redphone for the first time, I'm really loving it over the Pioneer's. It's extremely comfortable and so convenient to just pick up and cradle in your shoulder. I don't have to do the extra step of wrapping my headphones around my neck every time I pick them up. I don't wear my headphones between every mix and I also usually only use one headphone as it is ... so Redphone is really awesome for people like me. The reason I only give it 4 starts is because it is made of plastic, though feels like a quality build. I just know that plastic breaks over time and that's why I went with the Pioneer headphones in the first place. Other then that Redphone is great and I may just be shelving my Pioneer's as my backups. PS ... Redphone has a XLR connection. So, if you have a problem with your wired mic, you can always plug in your Redphone and use it as a mic in a pinch. ;-)
