I bought this turntable for sampling and mixing. Only drawback is there is no pitch control. Plays 33, 45, and 78's beautifully. It's built like a tank and weighs as much as one. Its High torque, brushless motor and Ortofon 2M cartridge are huge upgrades.

In my experience with many turntables, budget to esoteric high-end monsters, direct drive easily outperforms belt drive and Reloop’s Turn 5 is the best direct drive deck I’ve had the privilege of experiencing. Everything about it exudes quality and finish, and at the DV247 price you are getting a Rolls-Royce for the price of a Japanese SUV! Don’t waste you money on the ‘legendary’ brands, get a Turn 5 and splash the cash on an audiophile cartridge-headshell combination and phono stage.Fabulous

Was shopping around for a direct drive turntable for listening only, hoping to ad a bit of tempo to my music selection (punk/hardcore) had the lp140 on my list, maybe the sl1500 at a stretch. The Reloop ticked all the boxes and came with the reasonable ortofon red. Sound is great. Clean, punchy and great bass. Mids are a little lacking but for the price, not complaining. It’s heavy too. No resonance or vibration coming through playback, even at super high volumes. Only downsides was that the cartridge needed a decent alignment and no 45 adapter included.Can’t recommend this unit more! Great value, great sound and no fuss set up!
