Disappointed, the cutter head mesh style is too closed up, with the straight radial slots on the outer cutter circle, not open enough and do not pick up the whiskers without a lot of scrubbing. Helical curved shape more open cutter mesh slots work much more efficiently at picking up whiskers and give a much quicker close smooth shave. As for the inner cutter circle with mostly pin holes, very much a waste extra cutter head area!!I became so frustrated with the new shaver not picking up whiskers on my neck area that I replaced the new cutter head with the old cutter head from my previous model shaver, which has ALL HELICAL CURVED SHAPE cutter slots, both tracks, with NO PIN HOLES!! With it's ruggedised look and feel, it would easily fit alongside battery operated power tools. This shaver is slightly bigger than another brand I have used, but it feels lighter, and operates at a quieter noise level. I haven't considered using my previous shaver in the wet, but the Remington just filled me with confidence that it would be alright, and it didn't fail, and not only that, the fear of water and rinsing it wasn't an issue either, a simple and easy clean. [This review was collected as part of a promotion. ] I was not impressed with this shaver at all. The design comes off as cheap, lacks style and it is far from indestructable. It can take some rough treatment and is waterproof so will handle most of what you can throw at it. The shaving works best on short hair, i suffered irritation and lasting pain when used on long hair. The blades contour well and shape to the face. The trimmer feature was underwhelming, Overall an average shaver. Not standing out but does the job

Design fault with this shaver

I was sent this shaver as my previous model failed and was replaced under warranty. First use of the shaver and I was cut quite badly on my top lip by the long hair trimmer which sits between the two main shaver foils. I have tried to use the shaver on this area by angling it so as to avoid bringing the long hair trimmer into contact with the upper lip area but it's very difficult to do. I contacted Remington customer services twice to try to get the shaver swapped out for a (cheaper) model that doesn't have the long hair trimmer but they have ignored my emails. I'm going to have to buy another shaver - needless to say from another manufacturer - as I have exhausted options with Remington. Not great Remington.

Excellent shaver wet or dry.

Great dual shaver from Remington. I like a wet shave to get a really close smooth shave but to be fair this shaver even with a dry shave makes a really close shave without necessarily needing to wet shave with shaving gel or on the shower. I like that I have the option. Light, easy to hold with 3 rotating flexible round blades that easily move around the curve of your chin and face smoothly. I don’t have stubble but if I did the stubble guard is easy to attach to create a trim stubble look. Easy to charge and lasts an hour once charged so great to take travelling as well as day to day use. Great results, stylish and simple to use.

The body is comfortable and light and easy to hold with the ridged rubberised grip providing a soft feel to the fingers. The shave however does not live up to expectations, whilst flexible and capable of adapting to the undulations of most features, the shave just isn’t close enough, leaving stubble longer than desired. When shaving around the neck, the shaver is harsh and causes irritation and redness. The trimmer is adequate enough to do the simplest of tasks, but again, if the pressure applied is too great is harsh to the touch. I am amazed at how far technology has progressed with rotary razors to be able to make them so effective now and to be able to sell them at such a ridiculously affordable price as this razor sells for.I only dry shave but you can use gel with this shaver and even use it in the shower.The rechargable battery last a very long time...you don't need to charge every week.I have a mustache/goatee but I generally like to keep the rest smooth shaven. This razor enables me to keep that look. This 3-head rotary shaver closely hugs my facial contours while gently floating across, and provides a smooth look without missing hairs. Unlike many past rotary razors I don't need to spend a lot of time going over and over with extra passes. The razor fits comfortably in my hand and while seemingly well made I don't find it uncomfortably heavy...just a nice balance.It has a nifty pop up trimmer which is extremely handy in doing close trim work around my goatee along with keeping the small shaved space between my lower mustache ends and my goatee, and other places like trimming my mustache off my upper lip area. Note: I had to get in the habit of only trying to trim with the pop up trimmer in one direction because it doesn't lock into place and will start to fold back down.Occasionally I like to allow my smooth shaven area to grow to just a rough shadow. You know, vacation time! They even include a snap-on stubble attachment for that look. In the past I've always had to just go ahead and shave the stubble once it started getting too long and tacky looking but now I can maintain my short stubble and at all the same short length so it looks exceptionally good. Love it!

One is still going well but I cannot get the foils any more so I need a replacement.This is the first Remington Rotary shaver I have bought, I was inspired by the excellent feedback it received from all who bought one. I can now say that I agree and that it is an absolutely excellent shaver; super quality, sturdy and excellent value for money given such quality and most of all it gives a superb shave. I wet shave as well but sometimes, when travelling in particular, I have need to use an electric shaver. well made razor

Got this to try in place of wet shaving all the time. Having tried several other electric shavers I have always suffered from really bad razor burn when using them, irrespective of how gentle I am. Thought I'd see how I go with this one (I do a lot of travelling for work and pleasure so liked the idea of USB charging and "virtually indestructible"...). Unfortunately for me despite the razor working well and feeling nice and comfortable to hold while shaving, I still had the inevitable razor burn post shaving. I guess my sensitive skin just isn't cut out for an electric shaver. Have since gifted the shaver to my dad who uses one everyday, and he loves it!
